Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): director of Wycliffe Taiwan and a regional manager of a sensitive area, respectively

Wycliffe is partnering with Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) which had held training meetings for recording engineers for a few weeks in November. The recording of the Amis Audio Scripture was launched last week. It will take two months to complete the recording, and we covet your prayers for a smooth recording process in co-operation with the Amis Church. Albert, in collaboration with FCBH, trained a team of Taiwanese for the audio Scripture ministries in Taiwan, and he is thankful that three of those four trained people are participating in the Amis Project now. Martha has faced the political challenges of the sensitive country she serves and seeks God’s wisdom and faith to keep up her responsibilities under this circumstance. However, she is thankful that she is still able to serve the members in that country as a regional director in such a challenging time as this. Please pray that Albert and Martha’s family will do well both physically and spiritually.

진행중인 대만의 소수민족 오디오 성경 녹음 프로젝트가 지난 몇주간 동역 단체인 “믿음은 들음에서 나며” (FCBH) 의 도움으로 녹음 사역자 훈련을 마치고 지난주 아미스 부족어 녹음이 시작되었습니다. 앞으로 두 달간 처음으로 녹음사역을 하게된 녹음팀이 아미스 교회와 협력하여 사역을 잘 감당하도록 기도해주세요. 알버트 선교사는 FCBH와 협력하여 대만 사람들로 구성된 사역팀을 훈련해서 앞으로 대만내의 녹음 사역을 감당케하고자 녹음사역자들을 모집하여 네 사람이 훈련을 받고 그 중 세 사람이 이번 아미스 프로젝트에 참여하고 있어 감사드립니다. 마르다 선교사는 보안 지역의 상황변화로 인하여 여러가지 사역상 어려움이 있는 가운데 맡은 책무를 잘 감당할 지혜와 믿음주시기를 간구하고 있습니다. 어려운중에도 동료 사역자 가정들을 잘 돕고 함께 할 수 있음에 감사드립니다. 온 가족이 영육간에 강건할 수 있도록 손모아주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

T Project: Scripture translation is moving ahead. The main trainer met with the translation team for three days to review the Ruth, Adam and Noah texts. The Scripture portions related to Ruth, Adam, and Noah were all checked and approved for publishing. An app is being developed to distribute these stories as a series of “Lives of the Prophets”. Some technical and formatting issues remain to be resolved. In May, prayer was requested for the problem of disunity within the T community. Three or four T men are publicly opposing the work of the language organization. The issue is not translation but longstanding disagreements over other matters. Y, the expatriate project advisor, is asking again for prayer about this division: “Please continue to pray for reconciliation between the two ‘camps’ within the T community, and protection for the local language organization staff.” 

실크 로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역 (수신자 이외에 배포하거나 온라인상에 게시하지 말아주세요)

T 프로젝트: 번역사역이 잘 추진되고 있습니다. 책임 훈련가는 사흘 동안 번역팀과 만나 룻, 아담과 노아 부분의 초벌 번역을 점검하였고, 이와 관련된 쪽번역의 점검과 출판 승인도 받았습니다. 이 이야기들을 "선지자들의 삶" 시리즈로 배포하기 위한 앱이 개발중입니다. 일부 기술적, 편집 관련 문제는 해결해야 할 과제로 남아 있습니다. 지난 5월에 T공동체 내부 분열문제로 중보기도를 요청한 바 있었는데, 서너 명의 T공동체 남자들이 공개적으로 사역단체의 일에 반대하고 있습니다. 이 문제는 번역이 아닌 다른 문제에 대한 오랜 견해 차이입니다. 프로젝트의 외국인 자문위원인 Y사역자는, "T 공동체내 두 '진영'간의 화해와 현지 언어단체 사역자들이 상처받지 않도록 계속 기도해주시기"를 거듭 부탁하고 있습니다.

Relief efforts for earthquake victims: Philippians

Wycliffe Philippines started a disaster relief drive by collecting and delivering donations for earthquake victims in Southern Philippines. Pray for God’s healing for the victims as they suffer from the trauma of losing loved ones, homes and livelihoods. Ask for God’s mercy, comfort, protection and provision as they seek shelter and food in evacuation centers. Pray too for the Wycliffe Philippines’ teams and churches as they extend help and minister to the victims.

지진 피해자 구호활동: 필리핀

위클리프필리핀이 남부 필리핀 지진 피해자들을 위해 성금을 모아 전달하는 재난 구호 사역에 나섰습니다. 사랑하는 사람들과 집, 생계를 잃는 트라우마에 시달리는 피해자들을 하나님께서 치유해 주시기를, 하나님의 자비와 위로, 보호, 그리고 공급하심이 구호 센터에서 임시 처소와 식량을 구하고 있는 이들에게 임하시길, 위클리프필리핀 구호팀과 교회들이 피해자들을 도우며 섬기는 귀한 사역을 위하여 기도해주세요.

Bible Storying: Bangladesh

Eighty percent of the world’s population are oral communicators. In Bangladesh, storying is an effective way of teaching and learning. Praise God for the start of the first Bible storying project in one of the minority language groups facilitated by Connections in Bangladesh. Praise the Lord that One Hope and YouVersion gave permission for their animated stories series to be used in the project. The team are thankful for Wycliffe Singapore’s partnership in raising funds for this project.

성경 이야기: 방글라데시

세계 인구의 80%가 구두로 의사소통을 합니다. 방글라데시에서도 이야기는 효과적인 가르침과 학습방법인데, Connections in Bangladesh (위클리프국제연대 자매단체) 가 한 소수민족 언어를 위해 성경 이야기 프로젝트를 착수하게 되어 하나님을 찬양합니다. 이 프로젝트를 위해 One Hope 와 YouVersion이 자기네 만화 시리즈를 이 프로젝트에 사용하도록 허락하신 주님을 찬양하며, 위클리프싱가폴이 이 프로젝트를 위한 기금 모금에 동역한 것에 대해서도 감사드립니다.
