Gyoojun and Jinsook Lee: director of the Diaspora engagement team

Gyoojun will preach at Mokmin Church on “God’s Mission” on February 2 and will facilitate the Kairos course during the next week in various cities—Toronto, Niagara (in Canada) and Dallas, Texas. His wife Jinsook will be facilitating in the Kairos courses in Canada. Please pray for God’s wisdom and power for Gyoojun to serve with good leadership and mentoring skills, pursuing God’s vision for the churches in North America. Ask God for safety and good health during the trips and for a fruitful ministry. Pray also for good preparation of materials, including translation of CHURCHgame, which will be played for the first time in Canada this year.

Working together through prayer and action: Global

Wycliffe Canada partners with local organizations around the world to facilitate projects related to language development and Bible translation. One goal of the organization is to have at least 10 Canadian intercessors praying for each field partner organization. Pray that many intercessors will participate. In one instance intercessors prayed for a partner organization in a certain country. Due to acts of violence in that country, thousands of people were displaced and staff in that organization needed trauma healing workshops. Wycliffe Canada responded to the need by facilitating the arrival of trauma healing personnel to carry out the workshops. Pray for Wycliffe Canada staff as they continue to pray for and support partner organizations.

위클리프캐나다는 언어개발 및 성경번역과 관련된 프로젝트들을 촉진하기 위해 전 세계 현지단체들과 협력관계를 맺고 있습니다. 한 가지 목표는 각 현지 동역단체들을 위해 최소 10명의 캐나다 중보기도팀이 중보하는 것인데 많은 기도 후원자들이 참여하도록 기도해주세요. 한 예로 중보기도팀이 특정 국가의 동역단체를 위해 기도했는데 그 나라의 소요사태로 수천 명의 사람들이 실향민이 되었고 현지에서는 외상치유 워크숍이 필요하게 되었습니다. 위클리프캐나다는 이 필요에 즉각 대응하여 외상치유 전문가를 파송하여 워크숍을 인도하므로 현지 단체와 협력 하였습니다. 위클리프캐나다 사역자들이 동역단체들을 위해 지속적으로 기도하고 지원할 수 있도록 기도해주세요.

Strengthening spiritual community: Asia

Due to security issues in one country, SIL staff and national partners expressed the need to become a community with a stronger sense of spiritual unity and vision. Pray that God would strengthen these relationships as they meet in weekly small groups for prayer, fellowship and missionligical reflection. Pray for those organizing a joint vision conference with staff and partners.

Language mapping teams play a vital role in the process of Bible translation. Pray for wisdom as Africa teams update existing language maps to ensure maximum accuracy.

언어 지도팀은 성경번역 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다. 아프리카팀들이 최대한의 정확성을 유지하기위해 기존의 언어 지도를 업데이트할 때 하나님의 지혜를 구하도록 손모아주세요.

Pray that in 2020 the Lord will draw many groups to participate in CrossVenture and lead many church mission teams to serve as volunteers at JAARS.
