Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

Due to the Coronavirus situation, all SIL flights are cancelled and the Parks’ plan to visit the village in March was cancelled. They are planning to visit there sometime in May if the situation gets better. Please pray for God's wisdom and diligence for the translation team members in the village. They will check chapters 6 to 12 of the Gospel of Luke with the villagers and also draft John 1, 2 and 3. Please pray also for the quick recovery of Abraham, the son of translator Sylvester, as he was examined and treated for his various symptoms at the Alotau Hospital.

코로나바이러스 상황으로 모든 에스아이엘 항공편이 취소되어 지난 3월에 마을을 방문하려던 계획이 취소 되었습니다. 상황이 나아진다면 5월경에 갈 수 있도록 계획중입니다. 마을에서 사역중인 현지인 번역팀이 누가복음 6-12 장을 마을 사람들과 함께 점검하는 일과 요한 1, 2, 3서를 초벌 번역중인 팀원들에게 건강과 지혜주시도록 기도해주세요. 번역자 실버스터의 아들 아브라함이 알로타우 병원에서 여러가지 합병증의 검진과 치료가 잘 되어 속히 회복되도록 손모아주세요.

Bible translation proactively coping with the pandemic

A lot of minority language groups worldwide are left more vulnerable at the time of this pandemic because they are not provided with the right information in their own language that they can understand. We are thankful to God for the good ministries of local Bible translation organizations in Cameroon as they have been trying to support more than 40 language groups they have partnered with for Bible translation. Please pray that all translation teams around the world can creatively cope with the situation, continuously doing their Bible translation ministries. 현재와 같은 대유행병일수록 많은 소수민족들은 자기 말로 이해할 수 있는 올바른 정보를 제공받지 못하기 때문에 훨씬 더 취약한 상황에 처하게 됩니다. 감사하게도, 카메룬에 있는 현지인 성경번역 단체에서 그 동안 성경번역을 위해 협력해 왔던 40여 개 언어에 그들의 말로 필요한 정보를 제공하려고 힘쓰고 있습니다. 전 세계 모든 번역 팀들이 창의적으로 상황에 잘 대처하면서 성경번역 사역을 계속해 나갈 수 있도록 기도해주세요. Leading through the COVID-19 pandemic: Global
Many, if not all, Alliance organizations are experiencing significant disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many organizations have closed offices and staff are working from home in order to limit the spread of the disease. Organization leaders are cooperating closely with partners around the world to determine how best to care for staff who are assigned to work in other countries. Some staff have left the countries of assignment and others have chosen to stay. Those on leave are unable to go back to the countries where they serve. Many meetings and workshops have been cancelled and work-related travel has been suspended. Pray for the leadership teams of Alliance organizations in these difficult times. Ask God for strength, health and great wisdom for them. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 (NIV)

코로나바이러스 방역에 대처하는 지도력: 전세계

위클리프 국제연대 소속 단체들이 코로나 대유행으로 인해 심각한 혼란을 겪고 있습니다. 많은 사무소들이 임시 패쇄하고 질병의 확산을 예방하기 위해 사역자들은 재택근무로 전환되었습니다. 책임자들은 해외로 파송된 선교사들을 돌보는 최선의 방법을 전세계 자매단체들과 긴밀히 협의하고 있습니다. 일부 선교사들은 현지를 떠나기도 하고 또는 현지에 잔류하는 것으로 결정하기도 합니다. 안식년중인 사역자들은 임지로 돌아갈 수 없는 상황입니다. 많은 회의와 워크샵이 취소되고 사역 관련 출장들도 중단되었습니다. 이 어려운 시기에 국제연대의 리더십 팀들에게 하나님의 강건함과 건강, 그리고 지혜주시도록 기도해주세요.

Boards looking to the future: Global

With so many national and global systems shaken and the world situation changing rapidly, Boards will need to think of the future in new ways. Even the most successful organizations must prepare to change and adapt to what is happening in the world today. Pray that Board members will look to the Lord and that they will seek his will and listen to his voice as they move forward in uncertain times.
