Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

In February, Joyce and Joseph, along with two Kaninuwa translators at the Alotau Centre, met together. There were certainly some challenges like the malfunctioning computers and the limited capacity of the inkjet printer, but by God’s grace, they were able to complete the checking of John 1, 2, and 3, and Luke 13-24, as well as printing the booklets for these checked portions. Joyce and Joseph returned to the Ukarumpa Centre to attend a conference held in March and the Kaninuwa translators went back to their village where they will do checking with these printed materials. Please pray that through the village checking session, more Kaninuwa who love to read books in their language will taste the Word of God sweeter than honey (Psalm 119:103). 

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 카니누와 부족 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니

지난 2월 박 선교사 부부는 알로타우 센터에서 두 명의 카니누와 번역가들과 함께 은혜로 잘 만났고 컴퓨터 오작동이나 프린팅의 어려움 둥이 있었지만 감사하게도 누가복음 13-24장과 함께 요한 1, 2, 3서의 중간 점검을 잘 마쳤습니다. 박 선교사 부부는 다시 우까룸빠 본부로 가서 3월 중에 열리는 컨퍼런스에 참여하고 번역 사역자들은 번역한 부분들을 인쇄한 책자들을 마을로 가져가서 그 내용들에 대해 '마을 점검'을 하게 됩니다. 자기말로 된 성경책 읽기를 좋아하는 카니누와 사람들이 꿀보다 더 단 하나님의 말씀(시편 119: 103)을 읽고 풍성한 은혜를 받도록, 현지 본부에서 컨퍼런스에 참여하는 박선교사 부부에게 은혜가 넘치도록 기도해 주세요.

Cree Initiative: Oji-Cree

Praise God that the team completed the review of Mark and now have 'checking copies' in hand; that 1, 2, 3 John checking has resumed; and that the team is working steadily with good dynamics. Jessie is the main translator. Please pray for her eyes, which flare up from time to time after too much time working at a computer. Praise God that Yvonne is also back to part-time translation work after a time of looking after her new baby. Pray for Bishop Lydia and one of our translators, Dominick, who have both been out of the community for several weeks due to health issues. Especially pray for Matt and Caitlin Windsor, who will be staying out of the community for three months to be nearer a hospital for the final trimester of Caitlin’s pregnancy.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 오지-크리

번역팀이 누가복음 점검을 모두 마치고 이제는 요한 1, 2, 3서에 대한 점검을 다시 재개하고 있는데 활기찬 동력으로 꾸준하게 일할 수 있음에 감사를 드립니다. 주 번역가인 제시가 컴퓨터로 작업하는 시간들이 많아 이따금씩 눈에 이상 증세를 보이고 있는데 함께 기도해 주세요. 이본도 출산후 육아 기간을 가진 후 다시 파트 타임으로 번역일을 복귀하게 되어 감사드립니다. 리디아 주교와 원주민 번역가중 한 사람인 도미닠이 건강 문제로 몇 주 동안 마을을 떠나 있게 된 것과 특별히 임신중인 케이틀린 선교사가 남편 매튜 선교사와 함께 원주민 마을을 떠나 병원 근처에서 약 3개월 가량을 체류하게 되는데 건강하게 순산할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Making the most of training opportunities: Equatorial Guinea
many of the staff at ACTB have felt the need for training in translation-related digital tools that until now has not been available in their context. Praise God for the Africa-wide Digital Summit, which will offer training for some members of staff at intervals between January and March 2021. Pray that they can obtain all the equipment that they will need to ensure that they can fully participate in the training program. Ask God for good internet and electricity connections during the training sessions.

훈련 기회를 최대한 활용: 적도기니 

성경번역협회의 많은 사역자들은 지금까지 자기네들의 상황에서는 이용할 수 없었던 번역 관련 전자 기기에 대한 훈련의 필요성을 느꼈습니다. 지난 1월부터 3월중 일부 팀원들에게 훈련의 기회를 제공해준 아프리카 전역 디지털 모임을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 훈련에 제대로 참여할 수 있도록 필요한 모든 장비들을 잘 확보할 수 있도록, 훈련 기간 동안 인터넷과 전원이 안정적으로 공급받도록 손모아 주세요.

Master’s program: Indonesia
Praise God for the progress on developing a master's program in exegesis and Bible translation at the Seminari Alkitab Asia Tenggara (SAAT Seminary) in Malang, Indonesia. The program is being developed in close collaboration with Kartidaya and the Indonesian Bible Society. Pray for the Lord’s anointing for the program directors and staff as they plan and prepare the courses before the program begins in August 2021. Ask God for favor and grace for the future students as they prepare their hearts, minds and bodies for the demands of these studies.

석사 과정: 인도네시아

인도네시아 말랑 소재 동남아시아신학대학원에서 주석학과 성경번역 석사 과정을 신설하게 되어 하나님을 찬양 합니다. 이 프로그램은 위클리프 인도네시아와 인도네시아 성서공회가 긴밀히 협력하여 개설중입니다. 금년 8 월 프로그램이 시작되기 전에 과정을 기획하고 준비하는 프로그램 디렉터와 스탭들에게 기름부어 주시기를, 미래의 학생들이 이러한 학문적 요구를 위해 마음과 정신과 몸을 잘 준비하면서 하나님께 은혜를 구하도록 기도해 주세요.
