Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

We are thankful for our friends’ kind words as they asked us about the pandemic situation that deteriorated in Papua New Guinea. The Parks give thanks for the continued progress in Bible translation through their good communication with the Kaninuwa translation team in Sibesibe village, Good Enough Island. Please pray that the draft notes of translation for some parts of the Gospel of John will be delivered safely to the Parks who are now in the Ukarumpa Centre; likewise, that their letter from the Alotau Centre to the Kaninuwa translation team in the village will arrive safely.  Unfortunately, the annual general meeting was postponed due to the worsened pandemic situation and Joyce was not able to attend the workshop because of the limitation of the number of participants. Please pray that Joyce will be able to participate in the delayed workshop in the middle of April and that they will be able to travel to the Alotau Centre promptly after the workshop.

파푸아뉴기니 여러 지역에서 코로나 대유행병의 전파가 심해지는 가운데 염려하시는 여러분들이 안부를 물어와 주셔서 정말 감사했습니다. 또한 굿이넙 섬 시베시베 마을에 있는 카니누와 번역팀과 통신이 되어 성경 번역 사역이 계속 진행됨을 감사드립니다! 마을에서 보낸 요한복음 초벌 번역노트가 우까룸파 본부에 있는 박선교사 부부에게 잘 전달되며, 또 박 선교사 부부의 사역 관련 서신이 알로타우 센터에서 굿이넙 섬의 시베시베 마을에 잘 전달되도록 기도해 주세요. 지난 번 기도부탁 드렸던 3월 중 우까룸파에서의 지역 본부 총회가 연기되었고, 조 선교사가 참석할 웍샵도 인원제한으로 4월 중순에 다시 참여하게 되었습니다. 웍샵 이후 4월 말에 알로타우 센터로 이동하기까지 모든 일정이 순조롭게 진행되도록 기도해 주세요.

The goal is to publish the book of Exodus. It is drafted. Retired Naskapi translator Silas has this book and has begun the required read-through required and will make minor spelling corrections. Please continue to pray for workers, those who are local translation personnel working closely with Bill Jancewicz.

요즘 나스카피팀의 목표는 출애굽기를 출판하는 것인데, 초벌 번역본은 이미 완성되었습니다. 은퇴한 나스카피 원주민 번역가인 실라가 이 초벌본을 가지고 반드시 거쳐야하는 통독과 세밀한 철자 교정 작업을 시작했습니다. 크리 프로젝트의 책임자인 빌 선교사와 긴밀히 동역하고 있는 원주민 번역가들을 위해 계속 손모아 주세요.

Bible translation champions: Indonesia
Praise God that there are six church synods in Indonesia that are part of the Alliance which advocate for Bible translation in communities that do not yet have the Bible in their own language. There are a total of 14 Alliance organizations in the country that are currently serving in Bible translation and related ministry. Ask the Lord to bless them with creativity and wisdom as they respond to the current financial situation and challenges in administration of field programs during the pandemic. Pray for God’s protection and healing as some translators are infected with COVID-19. May these Bible translation advocates continue to experience God’s grace and love.

인도네시아에는 아직도 자기네 모어로 된 성경을 갖지 못한 언어 공동체의 성경 번역을 옹호하고자 하는 연합의 일부인 노회 소속 교회들이 6개나 있음을 인해 하나님을 찬양합니다. 현재 성경 번역및 관련 사역들을 섬기고 있는 14개의 국제연대 단체들이 있습니다. 대유행병으로 인한 재정과 사역 프로그램 운영의 어려움에 대처하기 위한 창의력과 지혜 주시기를, 감염된 일부 번역가들에게 하나님의 치유하심과 보호하심이 있기를, 성경 번역 옹호자들이 계속해서 하나님의 은혜와 사랑을 경험할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Churches unite to pray online: France
France is a large country criss-crossed with small towns and many small churches. These churches remain keen to hear how they can engage with the Mission of God, participate in his mission to make the Bible accessible to all people, and play their part through prayer. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, meetings were entirely face-to-face with little interest in any sort of online virtual engagement. But things have changed! Praise God that two online prayer meetings now gather members of many churches from all points in France. Stewart Johnson, part of the Wycliffe Europe team, is working alongside members of the Board of Trustees of Wycliffe France to gather new prayer supporters. Pray that God would give discernment, creativity and courage to this team as they offer online access to prayer meetings and provide prayer resources to faithful intercessors and churches.  

온라인 기도를 통한 교회의 연합: 프랑스

프랑스는 작은 마을들과 많은 작은 교회들이 교차하는 큰 나라입니다. 교회들은 그들이 어떻게 하나님의 선교에 동참하고, 모든 종족들이 성경을 접할 수 있도록 하나님의 선교에 참여하며, 기도를 통해 교회의 역할을 감당할 수 있는지를 간절히 듣고 싶어 합니다. 코로나 이전에 모든 온라인 모임에는 거의 관심이 없고 완전히 대면 모임 위주였습니다. 하지만 이제 상황이 완전히 바뀌었습니다! 두 번의 온라인 기도 모임에 프랑스 전역의 많은 교회 성도들이 모이게 됨을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 위클리프 유럽팀 멤버인 스튜어트 선교사는 새로운 기도 지원팀을 동원하기 위해 위클리프 프랑스의 이사들과 함께 동역하고 있습니다. 온라인 기도 모임의 기회를 제공하고 신실한 중보자들과 교회들에게 기도 제목들을 나누는 이 팀에게 분별력과 창의력, 그리고 담대함을 허락해 주시도록 기도해 주세요.
