Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea
Praise the Lord! The Parks met with Kaninuwa translators (Soktes, Simon, and Margaret) in person in Alotau last month and were able to accomplish a number of things. During the time together, they read and meditated every morning reading from the Book of Ruth. They were able to meet with God as they saw how He worked through Naomi, Ruth, and Boas. Please pray that the same God will work with the Kaninuwa translation team as well. Pray also that the second study booklet on the Gospel of Mark sent to the village will be well used, and that many people will experience the power of the scripture, transforming their lives. We are also very thankful for the sacrifices that the Kaninuwa people have made for the Bible translation ministry. Please pray that the village will generously support the travel and food expenses necessary for the Kaninuwa translators during the advisor’s checking of the Gospel of Luke in October. Pray also that John Bruner, the American advisor, will arrive healthy and safe for this checking.

지난 8월에 박 선교사 부부와 카니누와 번역가들 (속테스, 사이몬, 마가렡)과 알로타우에서 직접 만나 여러가지 사역들을 함께 할 수 있어서 감사합니다. 함께 사역하는 동안, 매일 아침마다 룻기 말씀을 읽고 묵상했습니다. 나오미와 룻, 그리고 보아스를 통해 일하시는 하나님을 만나며, 그 하나님이 카니누와 번역팀과 함께 해 주시기를 손모아 주세요. 마을로 보낸 “마가복음 2” 성경공부 교재가 마을에서 계속하여 잘 활용되어 많은 분들이 말씀의 능력을 깨닫고 변화되게 해주세요. 카니누와 공동체가 계속하여 성경번역 선교를 위해 헌신함에 감사드립니다. 10월 중 누가복음 자문위원 점검 때 번역가들에게 필요한 여행 경비와 양식을 마을 공동체가 잘 협력해서 풍성하게 지원해 줄 수 있도록, 자문위원 존 브루너 선교사가 예정된 일정에 맞추어 건강하고 안전하게 도착할 수 있도록 함께 기도해 주세요.
Global Connect 2021
Global Connect is a virtual gathering of the Wycliffe Global Alliance organizations. It provides the opportunity for Wycliffe Canada to gather with other Alliance organizations to celebrate, learn, grow and connect. The event will take place Sep 13-17. Please pray that God’s purposes will be accomplished through Global Connect. For the Americas, prayer time will be each day at 10:00 am MDT.

New tools for evangelism and Scripture use: Papua New Guinea, Pacific
The global pandemic provided an opportunity for creativity to develop and produce new tools for evangelism and Scripture use. Jesus Film Project, a ministry of Cru had more time during this period to produce a video-based discipleship series called Walking with Jesus. This resource was developed specifically for audiences in Africa. Praise the Lord for this new production. They are now considering introducing it to Papua New Guinea. Ask the Lord for his guidance in these plans.

대유행병이 전도와 성경 활용을 위한 새로운 도구들을 개발하고 만들어내는 창의적인 기회가 되었습니다. 크루 (대학생선교회)의 한 사역인 “예수 영화 프로젝트”는 "예수와 함께 걷기"라고 불리는 동영상으로 만든 제자 훈련 시리즈를 제작하는데 더 많은 시간을 할애했는데 이 자료는 특별히 아프리카 사람들을 위해 개발되었습니다. 이 새로운 제작을 인하여 주님을 찬송합니다. 이번에 파푸아뉴기니 사역에 도입하는 것을 고려중인데 주의 인도 하심이 있도록 기도해 주세요.
Need for more workers: Australia
A key focus for Wycliffe Australia (WBTA) is to recruit people and prepare them for cross-cultural ministry. In recent years, it has become a challenge to draw new people into the organization. Only a few people are in the pipeline at present. Pray that WBTA hears what God is saying in this season. Pray for encouragement and wisdom for staff involved in recruitment. Ask the Lord to guide them into fruitful opportunities to engage with potential new workers. Pray to the Lord in charge of the harvest to send more workers into his field (Matthew 9:37-38).

위클리프 호주의 중점 사역중 하나는 사람들을 동원하여 타문화 사역을 준비시키는 것입니다. 최근 수년간 새로운 헌신자들을 동원하는 일이 어려워 졌고 현재 허입 수속중인 사람들은 소수에 불과합니다. 위클리프 호주가 이번 대유행병중에 하나님의 뜻을 분별할 수 있도록, 동원 사역자들에게 격려와 지혜 주시기를, 잠재적인 후보생들과 연결할 수 있는 유익한 기회들로 인도해 주시기를 기도해 주세요. 추수의 주인이신 주님께 추수할 일꾼들을 더 많이 보내달라고 기도해 주세요. (마태복음 9:37-38).
