Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, PNG / on return assignment

We are very thankful that consultant Alan from Australia and Kaninuwa translators (Soktes, Jack, Levi, Simon and Lynette) did a good consultant checking of the Old Testament Panorama*, online in the first week and face-to-face in the second week at the Alotau Center. Joseph and Joyce will stay in Korea for a while on their way to Canada for their home assignment, and will receive a medical checkup. Please pray for their good health, and their time with friends and family members while they stay in Korea. *After the translation of the Gospel of Mark and the Acts, the book selected 2,500 Old Testament verses needed to understand the New Testament, focusing on the phrases cited in the New Testament.

Jazzed for translation: Toronto

On Saturday, June 11, at 7 p.m., Wycliffe Canada will be hosting Jazzed for Translation, an evening of Jazz music, refreshments and in support of Bali Mba Bible translation project. Juno-nominated artist Mike Janzen includes a portfolio of commissioned pieces for CBC, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and Steve Bell, as well as original arrangements of Broadway tunes for the symphony orchestra. Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

The following prayer requests are prayers for the soil tilling efforts in this sensitive area. By serving the community in sustainable literacy and education development, the team is loving the community in very practical ways which pave the way for sustainable Bible translation work, which we believe the Lord will use to transform lives for His glory.

The Q project:

Praise God for the completion of the exegetical checking of Revelation and the whole New Testament! Praise God for the translation consultant's rapid progress through the initial checking of 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2, & 3 John, and Jude. Praise God for a very good time of rest from leadership for the project facilitators, allowing for a strong push towards finishing the translation work. Pray for the Lord’s touch on the MLE Coordinator who lost his wife to Covid. He feels that God has abandoned him and left him bereft. Pray that the Lord would bring to mind some of the Scriptures that he worked on in the past and draw him towards the Lord Jesus. Pray for the project editor who needs a new day job to make ends meet. Continue to pray that God would prepare the hearts of the people who will read and hear this translation in the language of their heart.

실크로드의 기도 요청들은 보안 지역의 척박한 땅을 일구는 사역들을 중보하는 기도입니다. 사역팀이 지속 가능한 문해 사역과 교육 개발을 섬기며 매우 실질적인 방법으로 공동체를 사랑하는데, 이로서 사람들의 삶이 변화되고 주께 영광 돌리게 되리라 믿습니다.

Q 프로젝트: 요한계시록과 신약 전서의 주석 점검이 완료된 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다! 베드로 전후서와 요한 일, 이, 삼서 그리고 유다서의 자문 위원 초벌 점검이 아주 빠르게 진척된 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 프로젝트 조력자 들을 위하여 책임자의 직에서 벗어나 좋은 충전 시간을 가지므로 번역을 속히 끝내는 데 강한 추진력을 갖게 된 것을 통하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 코로나로 아내를 잃고, 하나님이 자기를 버렸다고 비관하는 다중언어학교 코디네이터에게 주의 만져주심이 있도록, 과거에 번역하며 감동받았단 말씀들로 다시금 주께로 인도함 받도록, 새로운 일자리로 생계에 도움이 필요한 프로젝트 편집자를 위하여, 자기네 말로 된 말씀을 읽고 들을 사람들의 마음을 하나님께서 준비시켜 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Run for the Bibleless: Kenya 
The staff at Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL) are planning the annual Run for the Bibleless event, scheduled for 11 June 2022, with finances raised used to fund Bible translation projects in Kenya. For the first time, BTL is holding the event in four major towns simultaneously. In one of the towns, church leaders and Christian professionals are handling the planning at their own cost, which has amazed BTL staff. Pray for the Run's success as BTL ventures from the capital city of Nairobi to other towns. The Run not only acts as a fundraiser, but it helps create awareness and shares the vision about Bible translation with others.

성경 없는 부족들을 위한 달리기: 케냐  

성경 번역 및 문해 협회는 케냐 성경 번역 프로젝트에 사용될 기금 마련을 위해 6월 11일 연례 행사인 성경 없는 부족들을 위한 달리기 행사를 계획하고 있습니다. 협회가 올해 처음으로 주요 4개 도시에서 동시에 행사를 열게 됩니다. 한 도시에서는 교회 지도자들과 기독교 전문가들이 자비로 이 행사를 계획하고 있어서 협회 사역팀 들을 놀라게 했습니다. 성경 번역 및 문해 협회가 수도 나이로비에서 다른 도시들로 확장하는 이번 행사가 성공적으로 진행될 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 이 행사는 단순히 모금 활동으로 끝나는 것이 아니라 성경 번역에 대해 알리고 비전을 공유하는 데 도움을 주게 될 것입니다. 

Using TBTA Software: Canada, South Asia, Indonesia and Kenya
The Bible Translator’s Assistant (TBTA) staff is currently working with speakers of gateway languages in South Asia (Tamil), Indonesia (Bahasa), and Kenya (Gichuka) to analyse their grammar. This analysis facilitates adaptation to other languages in the same language family. Pray for good communication between TBTA’s computational linguists and the national translator language assistants, including reliable internet access. Pray for those like Anthony, Levi, and Anita who assist in translation. Pray that they quickly grasp the TBTA software and enjoy discovering the richness of their amazing languages.

성경 번역 도우미(TBTA: 성경번역을 쉽게 할 수 있도록 특별히 고안된 컴퓨터 소프트웨어) 사역팀은 현재 남아시아(타밀어), 인도네시아(바하사), 케냐(기추카)의 관문 언어 사용자들과 함께 문법 분석을 하고 있습니다.  이 분석을 통해 동일한 언어군의 다른 언어들에 쉽게 접근할 수 있게 됩니다. 안정적인 인터넷 접속을 포함해 이 팀의 컴퓨터 언어학자들와 현지 번역 조력자들 간의 원활한 의사 소통을 위해, 번역을 돕는 안토니, 레비, 아니타와 같은 이들을 위해, 이들이 성경 번역 도우미 소프트웨어를 빨리 이해하고 놀라운 자기네 언어의 풍부함을 발견하고 즐겁게 사역할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
