Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

The Parks are thankful to God for the warm welcome they got from the Sibesibe village of the Kaninuwa people, and for the translation checks on the Book of Esther and the several beginning chapters of the Gospel of Luke that the Kaninuwa translators had worked on during the Parks' home assignment. Now they are urgently travelling to South Korea as Joseph’s mother recently got acute pneumonia which has seriously deteriorated her health condition. Please pray for travel mercies for the Parks, and for a good recovery of Joseph’s mother.

박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 카니누와 부족 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니

지난 한 달여 동안 마을 사역을 마치고 알로타우로 돌아왔습니다. 마을에서 받은 환대와 두 선교사의 본국사역 기간에 마을에서 현지인 번역자들이 일해 놓은 누가복음 초반부 번역 점검과 에스더 서 번역 점검을 할 수 있었음에 감사드립니다! 박 선교사 모친께서 급성 폐렴 증세로 위독하여 10일부터 급히 한국 방문을 하게 되었습니다. 여행의 안전과 어머님의 회복을 위해 기도해주세요.

L and C: Bible translation, sensitive area

The Ls are going to have their home assignment from this week for a year. Please pray for their debriefing, refreshment, training and engagement ministries with the Korean Diaspora team during their home assignment. Pray also that C will get her permanent residency in Canada and that the translation ministries of the Z language will advance well with their American partner in the sensitive area during the Ls’ absence.

L 선교사 부부가 이번 주부터 본국 사역 (안식년)에 들어갑니다. 상황에 맞게 본국 사역 기간 동안 해야 할, 디브리핑, 재충전과 재훈련 및 국내 동원 사역 등을 잘 감당할 수 있도록, C 선교사의 캐나다 영주권 취득 수속이 순조롭게 진행되도록, 동역자에게 맡기고 잠시 떠나 온 Z 언어의 성경번역 사역에도 계속 진척이 있도록 기도해주세요.

We are thankful that 13 more people have joined the prayer ministry for the Bibleless people groups as a result of the Bible Sunday held at Calgary Korean Presbyterian Church (Rev. Chang-Sun Choi, senior pastor) on Dec. 4. Please pray that more people will become partners of Bible translation ministries with their prayers, finances, talents and life. Gyoojun Lee is thankful for the training he had for the Disciple Makers Game with Life Impact Ministries in Malaysia, and the networking through which he was able to connect Bible translators in that area with Life Impact Ministries to the possible collaboration between them. Please pray that the Korean Diaspora team will continue to serve Canadian churches with good training programs and Bible translation ministries through networking and collaborations.

지난 주일(12월 2일) 캘거리한인장로교회(최창선 담임목사) 성서주일 행사를 통해 13명의 새로운 기도 동역자를 얻게 되어 감사드립니다. 계속해서 더 많은 분들이 기도, 물질, 재능과 삶으로 성경번역 선교에 동참하도록 기도해 주세요. 이규준 선교사가 말레이시아를 다녀오면서 디사이플 메이커스 게임 훈련을 통해, 동족과 모든 민족을 제자삼는 것이 교회의 DNA임을 다시 확인하고 잘 배우고 왔으며, 현지에서 일어나는 성경번역 사역과 라이프 임팩트 미니스트리에 관련된 사역자들을 연결해 드릴 수 있었음에 감사드립니다. 계속해서 좋은 훈련 프로그램으로 네트워킹을 통해 교회와 성경번역 선교를 잘 섬길 수 있도록 손모아주세요.

Care of God’s servants: Global

The “Third Meet­ing of Di­a­logue and Mu­tual Train­ing for Care of the Mis­sion­ary” took place in Quito, Ecuador, Sep­tem­ber 7-9. The staff of COMIBAM, which over­sees pas­toral care of work­ers in mis­sions, or­ga­nized the gath­er­ing. Thirty-seven peo­ple from dif­fer­ent coun­tries in the re­gion came to­gether to co­or­di­nate strate­gies and work to­gether. Re­gional co­or­di­na­tors pre­sented in­for­ma­tive re­ports. These re­vealed the most sig­nif­i­cant needs when con­sid­er­ing care of God’s ser­vants. At­ten­dees af­firmed their de­sire for con­tin­ued col­lab­o­ra­tion with the churches in their ef­forts to send and care for their work­ers. Pray for the plans made to es­tab­lish learn­ing cen­ters to of­fer train­ing in spe­cial­ized ar­eas of pas­toral care.

하나님의 일꾼들을 돌봄: 전 세계

지난 9월 초순 에콰도르 퀴토에서 ‘제 3차 선교사 돌봄을 위한 대화와 훈련’ 모임이 있었습니다. 선교나 대회들을 섬기는 일꾼들을 목회적으로 돌보는 코미밤 팀이 이 모임을 주최했고 남미 각 나라에서 참가한 37 명이 전략을 세우고 함께 협력 하기위해 모였습니다. 지역 대표들이 상황 보고를 하는 중에 하나님의 종들을 돌볼 필요가 분명하게 드러났습니다. 참석자들은 교회와 동역하여 자기네들의 일꾼들을 파송하고 돌보는 일을 계속하기로 다짐했습니다. 목회적 필요를 위한 전문 훈련을 제공하는 센터 건립 계획을 위해 기도해주세요.

“Awakening Millenials - Impacting Nations”: Jamaica

Fifty-one young adults from the Caribbean area at­tended a youth lead­ers’ work­shop on mis­sions in Kingston, Ja­maica, on No­vem­ber 3. Wycliffe Caribbean re­ports that the young peo­ple showed keen in­ter­est as they re­ceived teach­ing on eight Bib­li­cal prin­ci­ples re­gard­ing in­ter­cul­tural min­istry. They re­quested a sec­ond work­shop to ex­pand on the same theme. Praise God for their en­thu­si­asm. Pray that God will raise from among them fu­ture lin­guists, Bible trans­la­tors, lit­er­acy spe­cial­ists, con­sul­tants, and oth­ers to speed Bible trans­la­tion through­out the world.

밀레니엄 세대의 각성으로 민족들을 움직임: 자메이카

11월 3일 자메이카 킹스톤에서 카리브 제도 지역에서51 명의 청년들이 “청소년 선교 지도자 워크샵”으로 모였습니다. 위클리프 캐리비안의 보고에 의하면 이 청년들은 타문화 사역을 위한 8 가지 성경적 원리라는 강좌에 최대의 관심을 보이며 같은 주제로 두 번째 워크샵을 열어달라고 요청했습니다. 이들의 열정을 인해 하나님을 찬양하며 이들을 장래의 언어학자, 성경 번역가, 문해 사역자, 자문위원과 기타 사역자로 부르셔서 전 세계 성경 번역 사역에 박차를 가 할 수 있도록 손모아주세요.
