Prayer & Potluck: Toronto

The Toronto Office is having a potluck once a month to provide an informal gathering for prayer and fellowship. Please pray for all of the participants who come together. Pray that these meetings will grow, not just for eating and praying, but also for increasing our capacity building and spiritual balance for each other’s ministries and beyond. Pray also for Brandie Green and Susanna Muntz who make this happen.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward this item or post it anywhere online)

K project: Praise God that the local staff are making progress in preparing more “K” written materials for the community. The project leader has collected a book of local proverbs, and a publisher has been found for it. Pray that the book can be finalized, published, and distributed so the people can read this book in their own language. Pray that visas will be granted and that the necessary funds will be in hand for D and C to make a spring trip to visit the “K” project. There are still no believers in the K community. Please pray for the mountain people that the Lord will make a way for His Word to be given to them in the language they know best. Pray that their hearts will be prepared to hear, so they can walk on the straight path. (John 14:6).

실크 로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역 (수신자 이외에 배포하거나 온라인상에 게시하지 말아주세요)

K 프로젝트: 현지인 사역자들의 헌신으로 더 많은 K 부족어로 쓰여진 자료들의 개발에 진전이 있음을 감사드립니다. 현지의 속담집과 관련된 문서들을 수집했습니다. 이 자료들을 활용하여 자기네 모어로 만든 문해 책자가 발간, 배포되어 이 부족들이 읽게되도록 기도해주세요. 이 프로젝트를 섬기는 D 와 C 선교사의 입국 비자와 필요한 재정이 봄 여행 일정에 맞추어 마련되도록 손모아주세요. 이 부족에는 아직 믿는 신자가 없습니다. 이 산악 부족들에게 자기네가 가장 이해하기 쉬운 모어로 된 하나님의 말씀이 주어지도록, 그 말씀을 들을 준비가 되도록, 그래서 길이요 진리요 생명이신 주께로 바로 갈 수 있는 K 부족되도록 기도해주세요.

Linguistics and literacy studies: Peru

CLAVE, a ver­nac­u­lar lin­guis­tics and lit­er­acy course is sched­uled to take place in Huanuco, Peru, from Feb­ru­ary 11 to De­cem­ber 2. Pray for Celia Nel­son, Wes Collins and Jacquie Britto as they launch the course and as­sist par­tic­i­pants with their needs. Pray that God will guide those cho­sen to help fa­cil­i­tate teach­ing and learn­ing. Pray for the par­tic­i­pants from the fol­low­ing lan­guage com­mu­ni­ties: Kakataibo, Achuar, Wanca Quechua, and Hual­laga Quechua. Pray that God will pro­vide funds to cover their travel ex­penses, and that they will be ea­ger learners.

페루 후아누코에서 2월 11일부터 12월 2일까지 토속 언어학과 문해 사역 과정인 클레이브 코스가 열립니다. 이 과정을 개설하고 참가자들을 도울 셀리아, 웨스, 재키 선교사를 위해 기도해 주시고 함께 가르치고 배울 자들을 위해 손 모아 주시고 특별히 카카타이보, 아추알, 완카 퀘추아, 후알라가 퀘추아 부족들에서 참여하게 될 참가자들을 위해, 이들의 여행 경비도 채워지고 열심히 배울 열정도 갖게되도록 손모아주세요.

The mis­sion of Faith Comes by Hear­ing (FCBH) is to pro­vide peo­ple every­where with free ac­cess to God’s Word through Au­dio Bibles in every trans­lated lan­guage. In or­der to pub­lish au­dio forms, FCBH of­ten needs to se­cure per­mis­sions from other or­ga­ni­za­tions that have dig­i­tal forms of God’s Word. Pray for unity in the body of Christ as or­ga­ni­za­tions share tools, copy­rights, and ver­sions of Scrip­ture. Pray for smoothly-flow­ing de­vel­op­ment and ac­cel­er­a­tion of li­cense agree­ments to speed the process of mak­ing au­dio Scrip­ture available.
