Korean Kairos Course in Edmonton

We are thankful that the Korean Kairos course in Edmonton went well the first week. The participants have made their resolutions to become a blessing to all nations as they got to know God's love for all nations. We hope to see them draw out more detailed and specific action plans during the course so that they can live transformed missional lives as a result. Please pray for a missionary couple who serve this course as facilitators as a part of their return assignment. Pray for Gyoojun so that he can serve the facilitators well with a passion. 

에드먼턴 한국어 카이로스 코스

지난 주말부터 시작된 에드먼턴 카이로스 코스 첫 주말 일정을 통해 참가자들이 모든 민족들을 향한 하나님의 마음을 알고 복된 삶을 살기로 다짐했음을 감사드립니다. 더욱 구체적인 삶의 적용과 실천을 통해 하나님의 선교로 변혁된 삶을 살도록, 그리고 조력자 팀원으로 함께 섬기고 있는 L and C 선교사 부부와 이규준 선교사가 건강하게 열정으로 잘 섬기도록 기도해주세요.

L and C: Bible translation, sensitive area / on return assignment in Canada

The L and C are thankful for their opportunity to serve Korean Canadian churches in Edmonton through the Kairos course as a part of their return assignment. They are also having a partnership development coaching session with Robyn, Wycliffe Canada's PD coach, on Tuesday when they visit the head office in Calgary. Please pray that they can share the vision for the Z people with individuals and churches here in Canada and that God will bring more partners in Bible translation for the Z people through this PD ministry.

L and C 선교사 부부가 이번에 본국 사역(안식년)의 일환으로 카이로스 코스를 통해 한인디아스포라 팀을 도와 에드먼톤지역 교회 연합 카이로스 코스에서 섬길 수 있게되어 감사드립니다. 화요일에는 동역자 개발 (PD)코칭 세션이 캘거리 본부에서 있습니다. 위클리프 캐나다 PD 코치인 로빈과 함께 하는 이번 세션을 통해 잘 훈련받아서 본국 사역중 Z 부족을 위한 성경번역 선교의 비전을 나눌 때마다 더 많은 개인과 교회의 동역자들이 기도와 물질로 이 귀한 사역에 동참하게 되도록 기도해주세요.

Listening to and reading the Bible: Papua New Guinea

The translation team for the Enga language of Papua New Guinea creates audio recordings of each book of the New Testament as they complete them. When people start listening to the Bible, those with basic literacy skills often want to read along with a printed copy as they listen. In this way they teach themselves how to read their

own language. Because of this, the team will release audio recording of the Bible as an Android phone app that highlights the text sentence-by-sentence as the audio recording plays. Pray that the Scripture impacts lives as people read and listen to it.

성경을 듣고 읽기: 파푸아뉴기니      

파푸아뉴기니 엔가 부족어 번역팀이 번역을 마침에 따라 신약 성경의 각 책을 녹음하고 있습니다. 글을 읽기에 익숙

않은 기초 문해 능력을 가진 사람들은 성경을 처음 읽을 때, 오디오로 들으면서 성경책을 같이 따라 읽기가 쉽습니다. 이렇게 하다 보면 자기네 모어 읽는 법을 스스로 터득하게 됩니다. 이를 위해 사역팀은 안드로이드 폰용 앱으로 오디오 성경을 출시할 계획입니다. 엔가 부족 사람들이 성경을 듣고 읽으므로 말미암아 그들의 삶이 변화되도록 기도해주세요.

Distributing vernacular Scriptures: Southeast Asia

Pray for the Korean partners planning the distribution of vernacular Scriptures to refugees in a Southeast Asian country. They will obtain the Scriptures from the local Bible Society. Pray that they distribute the Bibles effectively. Ask for a good relationship between the Bible society and the association. Pray that the Scriptures are read and shared as a result of this partnership.

토속어 성경 배포: 동남아시아

동남 아시아의 한 국가에서 난민들에게 토속어 성경을 배포할 계획을 세우고 있는 한국 동역팀을 위해 기도해 주세요. 성경은 현지 성서공회를 통하여 제공받을 것입니다. 효과적으로 배포할 수 있도록, 성서공회와 동역단체간의 좋은 관계를 세워지도록, 이 동역의 결과로 난민들이 성경을 읽고 나누게 되도록 손모아주세요.

A project to dub a video of John’s Gospel into a language spoken by 260,000 people in Southeast Asia is underway. Pray for wisdom as Julie and Jon Limmer oversee this project.

As students study Bible storying, pray they will soon share stories that will lead thousands around the world to become followers of Jesus.
