Kairos Course

Beginning next week, there will be three Kairos courses. Wycliffe mobilizers Gyoojun and Jinsook will serve in Vancouver and Toronto. L and C will serve two courses, one at Grace Community Church (GCC) in Surrey, B.C. and the other at One Hope Community Church (OHCC) in Langley, B.C.  Daniel and Helen will serve at Young Nak Korean Presbyterian Church of Toronto (YKPC). Please pray that Wycliffe member facilitators will serve the courses well by the power and grace of the Holy Spirit and that the hosting churches and individuals will recognize their calling from God to live a missional life and respond sincerely. (The courses will be held Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays between Sept. 16 – Oct. 5 at GCC, Tuesday nights between Sept. 17 – Nov. 5 and one Saturday on Oct. 26 at OHCC and YKPC.)

카이로스 코스

위클리프에서는 심플리 모빌라이징 (SM) 과 협력하여 교회와 성도의 기초 동원에 동역하고 있습니다. 다음 주부터 밴쿠버와 토론토 지역에서 카이로스 코스가 열립니다. 써리 그레이스한인교회에서 9/16-10/5일까지 매 주 월/목/토요일에, 랭리 한소망교회와 토론토영락교회에서는 9/17-11/5일까지 매 주 화요일과 10/26일 토요일 하루 일정입니다. 밴쿠버에서는 위클리프에서 이규준/한진숙 선교사 부부와 L / C 선교사 부부가 조력자로 섬기고, 토론토 코스에서는 윤기태/양희숙 선교사 부부가 조력자로 섬기게 됩니다. 동원 사역에 임하는 조력자들이 성령의 은혜와 능력으로 코스를 잘 섬기고, 참가하는 모든 교회와 성도가 선교적 삶의 소명과 기회를 자각하고 헌신으로 반응하도록 기도해 주세요. Ride for Refuge for Kinsha Project

Ride for Refuge is an event that Blue Sea Foundation hosts to help non-profit organizations promote their causes with fundraising activities, bike-riding and walking. Wycliffe Canada also participates in this event every year. This year, Wycliffe is raising funds for a project called Kinsha* (a pseudonym). Please pray that many people will participate in this event on Oct. 6 in various regions so there will be ample support for the Kinsha Bible translation project. 

성경번역 기금 마련을 위한 자전거 타기/걷기

위클리프에서는 매년 Ride for Refuge 행사에 참여하여 성경없는 부족들을 위한 모금 행사를 하고 있습니다. 올해에도 밴쿠버, 캘거리, 토론토 외 여러 지역에서 자전거 타기와 걷기 행사를 통해 여러 단체들이 사역 기금을 모금하고 있습니다. 위클리프 캐나다는 올 해 아시아 보안지역에서 진행중인 킨샤(가명) 성경번역 프로젝트를 위해 모금을 합니다. 10월 6일에 지역별로 많은 분들이 동참하여 성경번역선교를 위한 기도와 재정이 확충되도록 기도해 주세요. Guéré translation prepared for typesetting: Côte d'Ivoire

Praise God for the work session of the Guéré translation team who have cleaned up the electronic files of the New Testament to prepare them for typesetting. They hope to begin the actual typesetting in October. Pray for the team as they plan to read through the entire New Testament in the village in September. Ask for God’s protection over the final phases of the translation project.

조판작업 준비중인 구에레 성경 번역 : 코트디부아르

신약 성경 조판 준비를 위해 완료된 전자 파일들을 정리 한 구에레  번역 팀의 진척 과정을 통해 하나님께 찬양을 드립니다. 팀은 10 월 중 실제의 조판 과정이 시작되기를 소망하고 있는데, 9월중에 마을에서 신약 전권을 읽을 계획에 있는데 이를 위해 함께 기도해 주세요. 하나님께서 이 프로젝트의 마무리 단계까지 보호해 주시기를 손모아 주세요. 

Good health despite stress: Asia

Many translators experience multiple stressors while engaged in their ministry. Some have issues with maintaining a visa for work. This may mean a half-time or more engaged in work that is not related to translation. A few have roles in leadership and need to balance translation and administration with family and personal time. Others have concern for co-workers who may be under threat of persecution in various forms. Ask God to give these co-workers peace and freedom from persecution. Pray that the translators have adequate time to rest, and good health despite the heavy responsibilities.

많은 번역자들이 사역을 감당하며 복합적인 스트레스를 경험합니다. 어떤 이는 체류 비자 문제로 어려움을 겪게 되는데 전임이 아니거나 성경 번역 사역과는 직접 관련이 없는 경우 일 수가 있습니다. 몇몇 책임자들은 번역 사역과 행정뿐 아니라 가족들과 개인 시간의 균형도 유지해야 하고 다른 이들은 여러가지 종류의 박해와 위협적인 상황 중에 있는 팀원들을 염려하기도 합니다. 이 동역자들이 박해로 부터 평화와 자유함을 얻도록, 번역가들이 이 무거운 책무들 중에서도 적절한 휴식을 취하고 건강을 잘 지킬 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
