Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea

Joseph and Joyce are serving with the Kaninuwa people in the Sibesibe village, where there is no electricity, no telephone, and no propane gas canisters. Of course, there is no word for the internet or home-office. We are grateful that Papua New Guinea has low outbreaks of the pandemic. Please pray for the necessary food for Kaninuwa people, their protection from the pandemic, and pray that above all, God's Word will comfort and encourage them. Following the drafts of John 1, 2, 3, local translators are translating the draft of the Gospel of John. Please pray for God’s strength and wisdom for Kaninuwa translators; pray also that re-scheduling for the consultant check on the Old Testament Panorama, which has been delayed since May.

박 선교사 부부가 섬기는 시베시베 마을에는 전기나 전화도 없고 가스통도 없습니다. 인터넷이나 재택근무라는 말도 당연히 없는 마을입니다. 다행히도 파푸어뉴기니에서는 대유행병의 확산이 낮아 감사드립니다. 카니누와 사람들에게 필요한 양식을 공급해 주시고 안전하게 보호해 주시며, 무엇보다 하나님의 말씀으로 위로와 격려를 받도록 기도해 주세요. 마을에서 요한 1, 2, 3서에 이어 요한복음 초벌번역을 하고있는 현지인 번역자들에게 힘과 지혜를 주시도록,

5월로 계획했다 연기된 구약 파노라마 말씀에 대한 자문위원 점검 일정이 다시 잘 결정되도록 손모아 주세요.

Decisions on projects: Philippines
The Republic of the Philippines is under a State of Calamity due to COVID-19, and the government is strictly implementing rules on staying home and social distancing. The leaders of the Translators Association of the Philippines led by Executive Director James Daguman are faced with key issues on some translation projects. These projects were interrupted because the translators and project facilitators are locked down in places outside their assigned areas. Pray for wisdom and discernment as leaders and teams make decisions on the next steps. Ask God for creativity as they explore available options, especially in areas with no internet access.

프로젝트에 관한 결정: 필리핀

필리핀은 코로나 전염병으로 인해 국가 재난 상태에 처해 있고 정부는 이동 금지와 사회적 거리 두기를 엄격하게 시행하고 있습니다. 제임스 대표선교사가 이끄는 필리핀 번역가 협회의 지도자들은 일부 번역 프로젝트에서 핵심 쟁점에 직면해 있습니다. 번역가들과 프로젝트 조력자들이 사역 지역 밖에서 발이 묶여있기 때문에 프로젝트가 중단된 상태입니다. 책임자들과 팀원들이 다음 단계에 대한 결정을 내릴 때 하나님이 지혜와 분별력을 주시도록, 특히 인터넷 접속이 불가능한 지역에서 가능한 선택이 무엇인지를 가려낼 수 있는 창의력을 주시도록 기도해주세요.

Moving forward: Europe
The leaders of the Alliance organisations in Europe are wondering how best to move forward as corona-virus restrictions are being gradually lifted. Challenges before them: Should staff who have been temporarily reassigned to the home office continue long term? How and when should staff re-engage in partnership development? When should staff members return to the countries where they serve? How should the Alliance organisations handle the decrease in funding from the economic downturn? These are some of the issues the leadership faces in Europe. Ask God to show them the way forward as they meet together in the near future and discuss these matters using video conferencing. 

앞으로 나아갈 길 : 유럽

유럽의 국제​​ 연대 지도자들은 코로나 바이러스로 인한 제한들이 점차 완화되어감에 따라 앞으로 나아가는 최선의 방법을 모색하고 있습니다. 당면한 도전들은 다음과 같습니다: 임시 본국으로 귀임한 선교사들의 본부 사역을 계속할 것인가? 언제 어떤 방법으로 동역자 개발 사역을 다시 감당토록 할 것인가? 선교사들이 언제쯤 임지로 복귀할 것인가? 국제 연대 소속단체들이 경제 침체로 인한 재정 감소를 어떻게 처리할 것인가? 이러한 도전들은 유럽 리더십이 직면한 문제들 중 일부입니다. 가까운 장래에 함께 모여서 앞으로의 나아갈 길을 보여 주시고 또한 화상 회의를 통해서도 이러한 문제들에 대해 함께 나누도록 기도해주세요.

May JAARS staff be a light in the Waxhaw community as they serve with a Fixing It for Christ project, helping to make repairs, clean, and paint.

잘스 사역자들이 수리, 청소, 페인트칠등 이웃 돕기 프로젝트 (Fix it for Christ) 를 통하여 왝쏘 지역 공동체에서 작은 등불을 발하게 되었습니다.  
 

The Missions at the Airport team will participate in the Shelby-Cleveland County Airport Open House in Shelby, NC. The team will offer airplane and helicopter rides while they engage visitors on behalf of JAARS.
