Daniel (Helen) Yoon: Engagement / Applications Adviser for Korean Diaspora

Daniel (and Helen) has been doing domestic ministries as a church engagement and applications adviser, but due to the recent pandemic, he can only work online these days. Daniel is very thankful for serving this prayer ministry; it is more critical than ever to pray for minority language groups as they are most vulnerable in this pandemic situation. He is also thankful for the continuous willing sacrifices of volunteers, churches and individual partners who have been serving together with him with their talents, time, prayer and finances. Please ask for God's continuous anointing on his prayer ministry and other ministries with his Diaspora team members, as he presses on with God-given wisdom and a humble heart.

Online Prayer Meeting

We are thankful for those prayer partners who have not only committed themselves in an extraordinary online prayer meeting, but also have generously given for those national translators who are in need. Please pray that more committed intercessory prayer warriors will rise up for the Bibleless people groups, and that the ministries of the prayer department will yield abundant fruits by God's grace.

지난 주간에 있었던 특별한 온라인 기도 모임에 동참해 주시고 기도에 헌신하실 뿐 아니라, 성경없는 부족들의 필요를 위해 헌금해 주신 기도 동역자들을 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다. 더 많은 중보기도 용사들이 일어나도록, 또한 기도 전담 부서의 사역이 하나님의 은혜로 풍성하게 열매 맺도록 기도해주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

In March we asked prayer especially for the “K" team. Praise God, in April the team was able to withdraw one month of funds! Pray that this temporary solution will remain open throughout the virus crisis. The SRA project leaders are currently making plans and drafting their budgets for Fiscal Year 2021, which begins in the fall. Wycliffe Canada is deciding which projects to support and how much funding to commit to them. Please pray that project managers will have the insight they need to plan wisely, especially in this current uncertain global climate. Praise God for the Canadian donors who support SRA generously with both funds and prayer. May God give wisdom to Wycliffe Canada leaders as they make their 2021 commitments.

실크 로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역 (수신자 이외에 배포하거나 온라인상에 게시하지 말아주세요)

지난 3월에 "K” 프로젝트팀의 자금 수령에 관한 기도를 요청했었습니다. 기도의 응답으로 4월중에 한 달분의 제정을 인출할 수 있었을 인하여 감사를 드립니다. 일시적인 해결책이 아니라 전염벙 기간 내내 인출이 가능하도록 계속 기도해주세요. 프로젝트 리더들은 가을부터 시작되는 2021 회계연도 사역 계획을 수립하고 예산을 편성중입니다. 위클리프 캐나다는 어떤 프로젝트를 지원할 것인지, 그리고 얼마의 재정을 후원할 것인지를 결정하게 됩니다. 특히 지금과 같은 불확실한 상황속에서 각 프로젝트 관리자들이 현명하게 계획하는데 필요한 통찰력을 갖게 되도록 기도해 주시고, 기도와 헌금으로 실크로드 프로젝트를 아낌없이 섬겨주시는 캐나다 후원자들로 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 위클리프 캐나다 리더들이 2021년도 예산을 약정할 때 하나님의 지혜주시길 손모아주세요.

Scripture videos on social media: Eurasia

The COVID-19 crisis has created special opportunities to create and share minority language Scripture videos on social media. Many people spend more time than usual on social media while sheltering in place. Pray for wisdom for translation and media teams to choose and prepare material that will fill the spiritual needs of the moment. Pray for effective distribution that will draw many closer to God.

코로나바이러스 위기는 소셜 미디어을 통해 소수 부족 언어로 된 성경 비디오를 만들고 공유 할 수있는 특별한 기회가 되었습니다. 많은 사람들이 자가 격리를 하는 동안 평소보다 더 많은 시간을 소셜 미디어를 하면서 보냅니다. 번역과 미디어팀에게 이 시국에 영적 필요를 충족시킬 수 있는 적절한 소재를 선택하고 준비할 수 있는 지혜 주시기를, 많은 사람들이 하나님께로 더 가까이 이끌 수 있는 효과적인 공유가 되도록 기도해주세요.

Changing times, changing needs: Taiwan
The Bible translation situation in Taiwan has changed with the evolving nature of language and culture. It is an encouragement for Wycliffe Taiwan to begin programs in language development, Scripture engagement, EthnoArts, dictionary-making and Oral Bible Storying among the indigenous language groups. Pray for the Wycliffe Taiwan leadership team headed by Executive Director Albert Fung, as they reorganize their structure to incorporate staff with the expertise for these new programs. Ask God for wisdom and discernment as the leaders make decisions to meet the changing needs of Bible translation in the country.

대만의 성경 번역 상황은 언어와 문화의 진화하는 특성과 함께 변화되었습니다. 위클리프 대만은 원주민 언어 부족들이 언어 개발, 성경 활용, 토속 예술, 사전 제작 및 구전 이야기 성경 프로그램을 시작하도록 돕습니다. 알버트 대표 선교사가 이끄는 위클리프 대만 리더십팀이 새로운 프로그램에 대한 전문성을 겸비한 사역자들을 잘 통합할 수 있는 구조로 재편성할 수 있도록, 지도자들이 변화하는 성경 번역 요구를 충족시키기 위해 여러가지를 결단 할 때 하나님의 지혜와 분별력을 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

As the world strives to return to “normal” and we want to just get on with it, God wants us to stop, remember who he is and remember whose we are, before we proceed to action. Let us be like Joshua and ask “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”

세상이 “정상” 으로 돌아가기를 애쓰고 있고 우리는 그저 그 일상을 계속하기를 원할 때, 하나님은 우리가 어떤 행동을 실행하기 전에 잠시 멈춰서, 그가 누구이며, 우리가 누구인가를 기억하기를 원하십니다. 여호수아 처럼 (여호수아 5:14), “내 주여 종에게 무슨 말씀을 하려 하시나이까?” 라고 물어보십시다.
