Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): director of Wycliffe Taiwan and a regional manager of a sensitive area, respectively

We are required to wear masks in all public places even in the summer in Taiwan. It is hot but this becomes a new normal with which everyone gets familiar. Albert is preparing to celebrate the 25th anniversary event of Wycliffe Taiwan in August. We're going to have a small event but with virtual format as well. Please pray that it will be an event to give thanks and praises to the Lord. After serving one term for the past two years, Martha will continue to serve as regional manager for a sensitive area for another two years from July. Please pray for God to give His grace and wisdom to Martha so she will improve her communication skills to handle all the entrusted ministries. Isaac and Moses took two weeks off in early spring due to Covid-19 but have been doing regular classes, and now summer break has begun. Pray for the whole family to have a healthy and fruitful summer of recharging by God’s grace.

대만은 여름철에도 모든 공공장소에서는 의무적으로 마스크를 착용해야 하는데 좀 덥긴 하지만 이젠 모두에게 익숙한 새로운 일상이 되었습니다. 알버트선교사는 8월에 있을 위클리프 대만 25주년 행사를 준비하고 있습니다. 조촐하게 온라인도 겸하여 행사를 진행할 예정인데 주님께 감사와 영광을 드리는 시간이 되도록, 마르다는 지난 2년 간 한 보안지역의 책임자로서 사역을 잘 마쳤고, 또 다시 2년 동안 동일한 사역을 계속 수행하게 되었습니다. 맡겨진 사역을 잘 감당하도록 하나님의 지혜와 소통의 은혜가 더해지도록 손모아주세요. 아이들은 지난 이른 봄에 잠시 휴교하고는 계속 등교 수업을 받았고 이제는 여름 방학입니다. 하나님의 은혜로 온 가족이 건강하고 유익한 재충전의 여름을 잘 지낼 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)

“Q” project: Translation is continuing, in spite of the pandemic. Praise God for steady progress on the “Q” New Testament. Drafting is now complete for everything except Revelation! A “Q” translation committee has been set up and held its first meeting. Please pray that each person on the committee will understand the process of translation and grow in their ability to give constructive feedback to the team. Continue praying for the impact of the Luke & Acts books, the first published Scripture in this language, on the “Q” believers and their community. God says, “My word that goes out from my mouth . . . will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11.

“Q” 프로젝트: 대유행병중에도 성경 번역은 진행중이며 “Q” 부족어 신약 번역에 꾸준히 진보를 보여 이제 계시록을 제외한 모든 초벌이 완성되어 하나님을 찬송합니다! 'Q'번역위원회가 구성되어 첫 모임을 가졌습니다. 위원들 모두가 번역 과정을 잘 이해하고 사역팀에 건설적인 피드백을 줄 수 있는 능력이 커지도록, 이 부족어로 처음 출판된 누가복음과 사도행전이 "Q" 신자들과 그들의 공동체에 좋은 영향을 끼치도록 계속 손모아주세요. 하나님이 말씀하시길, "내 입에서 나가는 말도...헛되이 내게로 되돌아오지 아니하고 나의 기뻐하는 뜻을 이루며 내가 보낸 일에 형통함이니라.” 이사야 55장 11절

Celebration postponed: Benin 
The celebration of the completed New Testament in the Idaasha language was planned for 4 April 2020. It has been indefinitely postponed because of COVID-19 restrictions. Praise God, the New Testaments arrived and are being distributed. As the community waits for the new date for the celebration, pray that the New Testaments will reach those who are eager to read them. Ask God to transform the Idaasha community by his love, as people read his Word. Pray also for funding for the translation of the Old Testament.

연기된 성경봉헌식: 베냉

아이다샤 부족어 신약성경 완역을 축하하는 봉헌예식이 2020년 4월 4일로 예정되어 있었는데 코로나바이러스로 무기한 연기되었습니다. 번역된 신약 성경이 도착하여 배포되고 있음을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 이 공동체가 새로운 예식 날짜를 기다리는 동안 자기네 말로 된 말씀 읽기를 열망하는 이들에게 다가 갈 수 있도록, 말씀을 읽는 만큼 하나님의 사랑이 이 공동체를 변화시키도록, 또한 구약성경 번역을 위한 기금 마련을 위해서도 기도해주세요. 

Unity in God’s Word: Philippines 
Praise God for his Word that is transforming many lives in the Teduray (Tirurai) community. The Teduray New Testament launched in 1983 and is widely used in churches and Bible study groups. As Teduray people studied the Scriptures in their own language, they formed a team to translate the Old Testament. The community supports the needs of the mother-tongue translators and the rest of the team. Recent college graduates in the community dedicated their lives to the translation. Funds for printing translated books are raised by the churches. Pray for the Teduray believers as they continue to follow God’s example of unity and love. Pray that they will soon have the complete Teduray Bible as they continue to proclaim the gospel to all the Teduray people.

하나님 말씀안에서의 연합: 필리핀

티루라이 공동체에서 말씀으로 많은 이들의 삶이 변화되고 있음을 인해 하나님을 찬양합니다. 티루라이 신약은 1983년에 출간되어 교회와 성경공부 그룹에서 널리 사용되고 있습니다. 티루라이 부족은 자기네 모어로 된 신약을 연구하면서 구약을 번역할 팀을 구성하였고 지역사회는 모어 번역가들과 나머지 사역팀의 필요를 지원하고 있습니다. 최근 이 지역 출신 대학 졸업생들이 성경 번역에 헌신하기로 했고 인쇄에 필요한 자금은 지역 교회들에 의해 조성됩니다. 하나님의 연합과 사랑의 본을 티루라이 성도들이 계속 잘 따르도록, 모든 티루라이 사람들에게 계속해서 복음을 선포하는 동안 곧 티루라이 성경 전서를 갖게 되도록 기도해주세요.

Join JAARS Aviation in giving thanks for the successful sale of an older Cessna 206 in Tanzania. The funds were used to purchase a newer 206 aircraft for translation work in Camer­oon.

잘스 항공부가 탄자니아에서 오래된 세스나 206의 항공기를 성공적으로 매각한 것에 감사드립니다. 이 자금은 카메룬 에서의 번역 사역을 위해 같은 기종의 신형 항공기를 구입하는데 사용되었습니다.
