Online Kairos Course

Praise the Lord! By God’s grace, the first online Korean Kairos course during this Covid-19 was well done. Twenty- one participants graduated with their worldview changed, making resolutions to be with God on His mission. Please pray for all participants to live their life in more missional ways, and that the two participating churches, Grace Community Church (Rev. Shinil Park, senior pastor) and Graceway Church (Rev. Kyungwoong Jang, senior pastor) in Vancouver, will continue to mobilize their congregants through the Kairos course and become more engaged in God’s mission.

온라인 카이로스 코스

코로나 기간중 치러진 첫 온라인 코스가 은혜 중에 잘 마침을 감사드립니다. 21명이 수료했고, 모두 새롭게 바뀐 세계관으로 하나님과 함께 그분의 선교에 동참키로 다짐했습니다. 이분들 모두 더욱 선교적인 삶을 살아가고, 이번에 수료한 참가자들 모두 보다 선교적인 삶으로 변화되도록, 함께 협력해 주신 벤쿠버 지역의 두 교회 (그레이스한인교회 (박신일 담임목사)와 은혜의교회 (장경웅 담임목사)가 보다 선교적인 교회로 하나님의 선교에 더욱 동참하게 되도록 기도해주세요.

Annual General Meeting

The Bible is the most inspiring book in all of human history. Though the Scriptures were written thousands of years ago, they are living and active today. Through them, Jesus continues to bring His transforming presence and power to communities around the world. Wycliffe Canada invites you to join us on November 26th from 1-2 p.m. MT (3-4 p.m. ET) to celebrate The Year of The Bible. We will share stories of the Bible having an impact among the Cree in Canada and communities in Peru, and we’ll worship together. Immediately following the celebration, we will be hosting our Annual General Meeting (AGM) which includes financial reporting as well as Board directed business and voting. Cree Initiative: dedication of the Naskapi Lectionary

Praise the Lord! God answered to your recent prayers. Our friends in the Naskapi community of Kawawachikamach told us that the new Sunday Lectionary readings have arrived in the community, ready for the First Sunday in Advent, November 29. Silas, the local church deacon says that they are planning a dedication service, and that they will be able to use the new books on that Sunday, as they turn to "page 1" and hear the readings from Isaiah 64, Psalm 80, the Epistle from 1 Corinthians 1 and the Gospel from Mark 13. Thank you again for your prayers for this project, which makes the Scriptures in Naskapi available to the congregation in Kawawachikamach every Sunday. We thank God that the books made it "to the church on time."

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 나스카피 주일 예독서 봉헌

할렐루야! 하나님은 여러분의 기도에 응답하셨습니다. 카와와치까맠의 나스카피 마을 동역자들이 11월 29일 첫번째 대강림 주일에 맞추어 사용할 주일 예독서가 제 시간에 배송이 되었다고 알려 왔습니다. 원주민교회 실라 집사가 예독서 봉헌 예배를 준비하고 있으며, 봉독할 첫 페이지들로, 이사야 64 장, 시편 80편, 고린도 전서 1장, 마가복음 13장의 말씀을 자기네 모어로 듣게 될 것이라고 했습니다. 매 주일 카와와치까맠 원주민 교회 성도들이 나스카피 모어 성경을 사용할 수 있도록 하는 이 프로젝트를 위해 손모아 주심을 거듭 감사드립니다. 기도한 대로 주일 예독서가 "제시간에 교회로" 배송받을 수 있게 된 것을 인하여 하나님께 감사드립니다.

Building capacity through friendship: Indonesia 
The Kartidaya leadership team is supporting two Alliance organizations in Indonesia namely, YMP3 in Papua and PPA in Manado, by helping build their organizational capacity. Pray for a smooth mentoring process as these organizations work together. The Kartidaya leadership team partners closely with local churches and mission organizations to strengthen the body of Christ in Indonesia. Ask the Lord to bless these relationships and open new doors as Kartidaya seeks to spread the Word of God through their goal of starting 20 new translation projects in 2021.

우정을 통한 역량 구축: 인도네시아

칼티다야 (위클리프 자매단체) 리더십 팀은 현지의 두 자매 단체인, 파푸아의 YMP3와 마나도의 PPA 의 역량 구축을 도와주면서 이들을 지원하고 있습니다. 이 단체들이 함께 섬기면서 원활한 멘토링 과정이 이루어지도록 기도해 주세요. 칼티다야 리더십 팀은 인도네시아에서 그리스도의 몸된 교회를 강화하기 위해 현지 교회들, 선교 단체들과 함께 긴밀히 협력합니다. 2021년도에 20 개의 새로운 번역 프로젝트를 시작한다는 목표로 하나님의 말씀을 확장하고자 애쓰는 칼티다야팀에게 이러한 관계들을 축복해 주시고 새로운 문들을 열어주시도록 기도해주세요. 

Friendship in action: Brazil   
The COVID-19 virus heavily impacted indigenous communities in Brazil. However, the National Council of Indigenous Pastors and Evangelical Leaders (CONPLEI) realized people were hurting, and decided to act. Working together with service organizations, an airline company, and a medical entity, they reached indigenous villages in the northeast of the country to deliver food and medicines. Through another initiative called “Acts of Love,” CONPLEI staff joined with various organizations and individuals to provide 500 baskets of food supplies and 500 Bibles for local language communities. One of the participants commented: “Understanding that God calls us to show His love through actions, we want to collaborate with physical and spiritual help.” Praise God for this cooperative effort to provide tangible help and spiritual encouragement to various communities. Pray for ongoing needs in Brazil as the virus continues to spread.

실천하는 우정: 브라질

코로나 바이러스는 브라질 원주민 공동체에 큰 영향을 미쳤습니다. 그러나 전국 원주민 목회자및 복음주의 지도자 협의회는 사람들이 아픔을 겪고 있다는 사실을 깨닫고 행동에 나서기로 했습니다. 봉사 단체들, 항공사와 의료 기관 과 협력하여 식품과 의약품을 북동부의 원주민 마을에 전했습니다. “사랑의 실천” 이라는 또 다른 운동을 통해 여러 단체들, 개인들과 연합하여 현지 언어 공동체에 500 개의 식료품 바구니와 500 권의 성경을 제공했습니다. 참가자 중 한 명은 “실천을 통해 하나님의 사랑을 보이라는 우리의 부르심을 이해하고 육체적, 영적 도움으로 협력합니다.” 라고 간증했습니다. 여러 공동체에 실질적인 도움을 주고 영적인 격려를 제공하기 위한 이러한 협력적 노력을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다. 대유행병이 계속됨에 따라 지속적인 사역의 필요를 위해 손모아주세요.

On this day of thanksgiving, let’s count our many bless­ings and say to our merciful God: “Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name” (I Chronicles 29:13).
