Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): director of Wycliffe Taiwan and a regional manager of a sensitive area, respectively

Since December 1, Wycliffe Taiwan has collaborated with FCHB (Faith Comes By Hearing)'s "21 Days Listen to and Read the Bible” ministry, in many languages in Taiwan in addition to Mandarin and Hakka. Please pray that many will read and listen to the Lord in their own heart-language. We are thankful that the Tsou audio Bible recording project, which began last September, is nearing its end in spite of various unexpected obstacles. Please pray that the last 10 percent of the recording will be completed well in December. Christmas is not a holiday in Taiwan. However, thankfully churches are preparing various events for Christmas. Please pray that people can hear the gospel through these events at Christmas. Martha continues to serve online, sharing and encouraging those people who are unable to return to work in their field in the sensitive area due to the Corona pandemic. Ask God to give Martha and Albert wisdom and the ability to serve well.

위클리프 대만은 12월 1일부터 “믿음은 들음에서 나며 (FCHB)”의 "21일 성경듣고 읽기(Bible.is 21-Days Christmas Challenge - Promo 1 - YouTube)" 사역에 협력하여 중국어외에 대만어와 하카등의 언어로 " 21일 성경읽고 듣기"사역을 전개하고 있습니다. https://www.wycliffe.org.tw/content/21-d-xmas-challenge 많은 이들이 각자의 심령의 언어로 주의 말씀을 읽고 듣고 되기를 기도해주세요. 지난 9월에 시작된 추족(Tsou,鄒)의 신약 오디오 성경 녹음이 막바지로 향하고 있습니다. 여러가지 에상치 못한 어려움중에서도 12월중에 약 10%정도 남은 녹음과 프로젝트가 순조롭게 완성되도록 손모아주세요. 대만에서는 성탄절이 휴일이 아닙니다 그러나, 성탄을 맞아 교회에서 여러 행사들을 준비할 수 있음에 감사를 드립니다. 성탄 즈음에 교회의 행사들로 사람들에게 복음을 전할 수 있도록 손모아주세요. 마르다는 코로나 사태로 아직 임지로 귀임하지 못하는 사역자들을 온라인에서 만나고 격려하는 사역을 계속할 수 있어 감사드립니다. 마르다와 알버트에게 부여된 사역들을 잘 감당할 지혜와 능력주시도록 기도해주세요.

Cree Initiative: Oji-Cree project

Please pray for the team members as they seek to keep work moving in spite of the Covid-19 lockdown and restrictions. Thank the Lord for Dominick, an Oji-Cree translator who has finished a gospel songbook for the people! Thank the Lord that they are able to meet in person three days/week to review the book of Mark. There is one chapter left to translate. Pray that they will be able to finish the book by Christmas, Lord willing.

 

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 오지-크리 프로젝트

모든 팀원들이 코로나로 인한 봉쇄와 제한에도 불구하고 계속 일을 하려고 애씁니다. 성도들을 위한 복음송집을 완성한 오지-크리 원주민 번역가 도미닉을 인하여 주님을 찬송합니다. 이제부터는 마가복음 개정을 위하여 일주일에 3일 동안은 팀원들이 직접 만날 수 있게 되어 정말 감사드립니다. 이제 한 장만 더 번역하면 되는데 성탄 전에 마무리 할 수 있도록 기도해주세요.

Reciprocal friendships: Papua New Guinea and Australia 
Every year during the school holidays, Redeemer Baptist Church in Sydney, Australia sends a team of young people and their leaders to visit the Barai people in Papua New Guinea. The team conducts spiritual enrichment programs and serves the people practically. During their visit in January, they provided basic health care to people in five villages. In turn, the Barai community provides the opportunity for these young people to experience life in another culture. The church supports the Barai translation project and sponsors Barai children to attend school in Australia and nurture them in Christian discipleship. Praise the Lord for the gift of friendship across cultures and nationalities.

 

상호간의 우정: 파푸아뉴기니와 호주

호주 시드니의 리디머침례교회는 파푸아뉴기니의 바라이 부족을 방문하기 위해 매년 방학중 청소년들과 그들의

지도자들로 구성된 단기 선교팀을 파송합니다. 선교팀은 영적 성장 프로그램들을 통하여 부족 사람들을 실질적으로

섬깁니다. 지난 1 월 방문 기간에는 5 개의 마을 사람들에게 기본적인 의료 봉사로 섬겼습니다. 반대로 바라이

공동체에서는 청소년들이 타문화를 체험할 수 있는 기회를 제공했습니다. 이 교회는 바라이 성경번역 프로젝트를

지원하고 이 마을 아이들이 호주에 유학하여 기독교 제자훈련을 받을 수 있도록 후원합니다. 문화와 국적을 초월한

우정의 선물로 인해 하나님을 찬양합니다.

 

Team friendship fosters creativity and care: South Asia 
Praise God for the friendship and community among teams in an Alliance organization in South Asia. They are working together to complete key tasks during the pandemic. The work of the Audio-Visual and Communication Department helped the Scripture Engagement, Language Survey and Administration teams to successfully conduct online meetings, workshops, activities and promotions. Pray for God’s protection and wisdom as the teams work during this critical period. Ask for God’s discernment and creativity as they organize future virtual programs for Bible translation work in South Asia. Seek the Lord’s favor for unity, clear communication, understanding and strength as the teams continue their virtual work.

하나님께서 분별력과 창의력을 주시도록, 각 팀이 온라인 사역을 게속하면서 서로 연합하고 명확한 의사 소통과

Recently, the aviation staff in Papua New Guinea attended a virtual course in turbine engine maintenance, conducted by the maintenance training staff at JAARS. Praise the Lord for the technology that makes this possible.

Praise God for two new Communications team members: a volunteer part-time videographer and a full-time photog­rapher. Pray their skills will enhance communication of the JAARS vision and mission.
