Daniel (/Helen) Yoon: Engagement / Applications Adviser for Korean Diaspora
Daniel is serving in the external communications for the Korean Diaspora (KD) team. We are very thankful for his coordination ministries with the team, including a good number of committed volunteers. With his lead, the KD team was able to share the vision of Bible translation ministries and God’s transformational works through weekly prayer bulletins, monthly prayer meetings (aka Encounter, Praying Together), and the new Wycliffe newsletter, In Other Words (renamed in Korean version, "Bible in All Languages"). Many partners responded to these, saying that they have come to know the various Bible translation ministries and the power of God’s transforming Word. Some of them replied with their words of encouragement via SNS messaging. Please pray that, through Daniel’s ongoing ministries even under this pandemic, more partners come alongside Wycliffe Canada in serving the Bibleless peoples around the world with God-given passion for them.

잘 감당하여 자원봉사자들을 포함한 한인 디아스포라 팀이 함께 협력하여 주간기도제목 나눔과 선교현지의 생생한 소식을 듣고 함께 기도하는 온라인 월례기도회 그리고 새로이 온라인 기반으로 제작된 위클리프 소식지 In Other Words (모든 언어로 성경을) 등을 통해 성경번역 선교의 비전과 하나님이 행하신 놀라운 변혁의 역사를 나눌 수 있었음에 감사드립니다! 이를 통해 많은 분들이 성경번역이 얼마나 많은 지역에서 다양한 사역으로 이뤄지는 것을 알고 더 많은 관심을 가져주시면서 기도사역에 동참해 주셨고, 어떤 분들은 이메일과 SNS 메시지를 통해 감사와 격려의 메시지를 전해 주기도 했습니다. 팬데믹 중에도 계속되는 윤선교사의 사역을 통해 더 많은 분들이 성경없는 민족들을 향한 하나님의 열정을 갖고 성경번역 선교에 동참하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.
Kingdom Friendship 킹덤 프렌드십
Cree initiative: Matthew and Caitlin Windsor
Thank God for the birth of their son Joel Simeon Windsor, born in Dryden, Ontario on June 4th! Pray for God's continued care for mother Caitlin and the rest of the family, Matthew and the two other children, Hazel (age 5) and Eli (age 3). Thanks to God for all His blessings during their stay in Dryden, where they were awaiting the birth of Joel. They are blessed with help from Northern Youth Programs (NYP), a ministry to indigenous communities, where they have been staying. They are returning to their home in the Oji-Cree village of Kingfisher Lake, Ontario, to continue their work with the Bible translation team. Thank God for the service of Bethany and Tom Scott, who have served at Kingfisher Lake during the Windsor’s absence. Pray for a good transition for them as the Scotts leave Kingfisher Lake for home in the next few days, and as the Windsors settle into their Bible translation ministry with the Oji-Cree language. The team has been working on the letters of John (1, 2 & 3 John) and preparing for a consultant check. Pray that this progress will continue and that the interaction with the translation consultant can be scheduled soon.
크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 매튜/케이틀린 윈저 선교사
지난 6월 4일 원저 선교사 가정에 아들 요엘 시므온이 온타리오 드라이덴에서 건강하게 출산함에 감사드립니다! 산모인 케이틀린 선교사와 함께 다른 두 아이들 헤이즐(5살)과 엘리(3살)를 위해서도 기도해 주세요. 요엘의 출산을 위해 임시 처소에서 머무는 동안 원주민 공동체를 섬기는 북부 청소년 프로그램(사역단체)을 통하여 받은 여러가지 도움과 축복에 감사드립니다. 원저 선교사 가정은 다시 사역지인 킹피셔 레이크 오지-크리 마을로 귀임합니다. 윈저 선교사 가정이 마을에 없는 동안 대신 사역을 맡아준 베다니와 톰 선교사의 섬김에 감사 드리며, 윈저 가정이 귀임 하는대로 킹피셔 레이크를 떠나게 될텐데 인수 인계가 순조롭게 잘 되도록 기도해 주세요. 사역팀은 그 간에 요한 일서, 이서및 삼서 작업을 마치고 자문 위원 점검을 준비 중입니다. 이러한 사역의 진보가 계속되어 번역 자문 위원과의 원활한 소통으로 이어지도록 기도해 주세요.

Practical provision: Philippines
Praise God for the support of local government units (LGUs) to the translations being done in their respective communities by Wycliffe Philippines. One LGU generously donated a solar panel set to the Ata Manobo language community. Praise God for this provision of much needed power. Please continue to keep this translation team in your prayers as they prepare to broadcast the audio Bible through radio shows during the pandemic. Ask the Lord for protection, provision, strength and wisdom for the team.

위클리프 필리핀이 각 지역 공동체별로 진행중인 번역 사역에 지방 정부로 부터의 지원을 허락하신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 한 지방 정부는 아타마노보 언어 공동체에 태양 전지판 세트를 아낌없이 기부했는데 절실히 필요했던 전력 공급에 하나님을 찬송합니다. 대유행병 중에도 라디오 프로그램을 통해 오디오 성경 방송 준비를 하고 있는 이 번역팀을 위해, 또한 하나님의 보호와 공급, 능력과 지혜 주시도록 기도해 주세요.
Keeping going despite disruptions and isolation: Pacific, Papua New Guinea
Many language communities are located in the rugged and remote areas of the nations of the Pacific. The lack of reliable transport and stable phone and internet connectivity can disrupt the work of translation teams, consultants and trainers. Travel and telecommunications are very expensive too. COVID-19 restrictions have added to these challenges. For example, in Papua New Guinea travel restrictions put in place during the recent spike of COVID has resulted in training courses and workshops being deferred or cancelled. Many language workers are impacted by isolation that leaves them with little or no assistance or ability to work as a team. They are vulnerable to getting discouraged. Pray that in spite of these challenges, God will help them to hold on and continue in their translation projects. Pray the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 over them.
중단과 고립에도 불구하고 지켜 나아가기: 태평양, 파푸아뉴기니
태평양 지역의 많은 언어 공동체들은 험준하고 외딴 지역에 위치해 있습니다. 믿을만한 운송수단이나 안정적인 전화와 인터넷 연결이 취약하면 번역팀, 자문 위원들과 훈련가들의 사역에 막대한 지장을 줍니다. 여행이나 통신 비용이 워낙 비싼데 코로나로 인하여 이러한 어려움들을 오히려 가중시켰습니다. 최근 코로나가 급증하는 동안 시행된 이동 제한으로 훈련 코스들과 워크숍들이 연기되거나 취소되었습니다. 많은 언어 사역자들이 고립으로 인해 팀으로 일할 수 있는 도움이나 자생력이 거의 또는 전혀 없기 때문에 낙담하기가 쉽습니다. 이러한 어려움 중에도 불구하고 번역 프로젝트들을 잘 붙들고 지켜 나아갈 수 있도록, 마태복음 6: 9-13절, 주기도문으로 기도해 주세요.
