L & C: Bible translation in a country in Asia / Remote assignment
While L and C are still waiting in Korea due to the pandemic, they continue working remotely on their assignments. They are thankful for the collaboration with the translation team of their neighboring language, and humbly ask for God's wisdom as L gives exegetical checks and back translation for the consultant checks of the neighboring language. (So far it is conceived that there is about 70% of affinity with L & C's target language and this neighboring language.) Please pray with L & C that God will give them deeper insights for the analysis of the Z language and exegetical helps they give for the neighboring language. Please pray for their visa acquisition soon so that they can freely travel to the field and work regularly with their language resource person. Pray also for the spiritual and physical robustness of their elderly parents.
L and C 선교사: 성경번역, 아시아 보안지역 / 원격 사역
L and C 선교사 부부는 코로나로 인해 임지로 복귀하지 못하는 상황임에도, 한국에서 원격으로 사역하고 있습니다. 특히 그들이 섬기는 언어에 이웃한 언어 번역팀과 동역할 수 있음에 감사드립니다! 현재까지 Z 언어와 이웃 언어 사이의 유사성이 70% 정도 되는 것으로 파악되고 있으며, 이 선교사는 이 이웃언어 성경번역의 주해 부분과 번역 자문위원 점검을 위한 역번역 부분을 돕고 있습니다. 이 일을 위해 겸손히 하나님이 주시는 지혜를 구하고 있습니다. 하나님께서 L 선교사 부부에게 통찰력을 주셔서 Z 언어 분석과 이웃 언어를 위한 주해 사역 등을 잘 감당하도록, 속히 비자를 받을 수 있게 되어 자유롭게 왕래하며 현지인 언어 조력자와 잘 동역할 수 있도록, 또한 연로하신 양가 부모님들이 영적, 육적으로 강건하시도록 기도해 주세요.

Bible Translation Collaborative: Southern Africa
Praise God for new Bible translation partnerships in Southern Africa, and preparations for several more pipeline projects to be launched in the coming year. Seven Bible translation agencies and resource partners have come together to form the Bible Translation Collaborative, with the goal of starting translation over the next three years in the remaining 50 languages of Southern Africa that are still without Scripture. Pray for unity and trust. Ask God for people to do the work, and for institutions that can continue to train women and men for Bible translation, ministry and mission.
성경번역 협력: 남아프리카
남아프리카에서 새로운 성경 번역 파트너십을 맺고, 내년에 더 많은 프로젝트들을 준비하게 하신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 아직 자기네 모어로 번역된 성경이 없는 남아프리카 50개 소수 민족 언어들에서 향후 3년간 번역을 시작한다는 목표로 성경번역협력체를 결성했습니다. 협력체의 화합과 신뢰를 위해, 사역자들이 그 일을 잘 감당 할 수 있도록, 그리고 성경 번역과 사역을 위해 형제 자매들을 계속 훈련시킬 수 있는 단체들을 위해 기도해 주세요.
Tawala Old Testament books and song book launched: Papua New Guinea
The Tawala people can now read portions of the Old Testament (OT) in their language. Monday, 13 September was a historical day for them when the books of Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Judges, 1 Samuel, Ecclesiastes, Hosea and Micah and the Tawala hymn book were launched. The OT books were bound into one volume. Pray for the church in Tawala to grow strong in faith and worship of God as they engage with the Scriptures. Ask the Lord to strengthen the translators to continue with the translation of the rest of the OT books. Praise the Lord for all the support and encouragement by the Papua New Guinea Bible Translation Association and international partners that collaborated, together with the church and community leaders, to reach this milestone.
타왈라어 구약성경 책들과 찬송가 출간: 파푸아뉴기니
타왈라 사람들은 이제 자기네 말로 구약성경의 일부를 읽을 수 있습니다. 지난 9월 13일은 레위기, 민수기, 신명기, 사사기, 사무엘상, 전도서, 호세아, 미가서와 타왈라 찬송가를 책으로 출간한 역사적인 날이었습니다. 이 책들을 한 권으로 모아 만들었습니다. 타왈라에 있는 교회가 성경 말씀을 통해 하나님을 향한 믿음과 예배가 더욱 굳건해 지도록, 나머지 구약 책들의 번역을 계속할 수 있도록 번역가들에게 힘을 주시도록 기도해 주세요. 파푸아뉴기니 성경번역협회와 교회및 지역사회 지도자들과 함께 협력하는 국제 동역팀들의 모든 지원과 격려를 인하여 주님을 찬송합니다.
