Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Regional Manager of a sensitive area, respectively
February 21st is UNESCO's International Mother Language Day. Albert will lead a fundraising event for Bible translation projects--12 minority people groups in Taiwan, one audio Bible recording project, and four overseas Bible translation projects, February 21 to 28. The event features 16 cyclists as a team representing one project, and visit indigenous churches by bicycle for seven days from the southern end of eastern Taiwan all through to the capital, Taipei. Please pray that everyone who participates will be strengthened spiritually and physically. Pray that all schedules will proceed safely and smoothly along the route. Pray that the power and the grace of salvation of the Lord will be testified all through the route the bicycle team goes. Pray also that God will provide the necessary funds for the designated projects.

매년 2월 21일은 유네스코가 정한 국제 모국어의 날입니다. 알버트 선교사는 2월 21일부터 28일까지 12개 타이완 소수민족 성경번역 프로젝트들, 오디오 성경 녹음 프로젝트, 그리고 4개의 해외 성경번역 프로젝트들을 위한 모금활동을 인도하게 됩니다. 한 사람이 한 개의 프로젝트를 대표해서 16명이 한 팀이 되어, 대만의 동부를 남쪽 끝에서부터, 수도 대북까지 7일 동안 자전거를 타고 이동하면서 소수민족 교회들을 방문하는 것이 이번 행사의 특징입니다. 참여하는 모든 이들이 영육간에 강건하도록, 모든 일정이 주의 보호하심으로 안전하고, 순조롭게 진행되도록, 자전거 팀들이 지나가는 곳곳에 주의 은혜로 구원의 역사가 임하기를, 목표로 하는 번역 프로젝트들에 필요한 재정도 잘 채워 주시기를 기도해 주세요.

Cree initiative: Naskapi
Last month, the health authority responded to an omicron variant outbreak in the Naskapi community, once again calling for a lockdown. However, God continues to bring His Word to the Naskapi people in their own language. A dozen years ago, Bill had the privilege of teaching four units of a Naskapi reading and writing course in the McGill University Teacher Training program. This fall, the Naskapi School once again began a new program collaborating with McGill University to provide quality, University-level education resources to another cohort of candidates, and Bill was invited to teach Naskapi grammar, reading, writing, and history. The Naskapi course was all "online" this time, and we had sixteen young Naskapi students. During the class, besides learning about Naskapi verbs and nouns, Naskapi history and culture, the participants also practice Naskapi reading and writing: the textbook? Bible. They read to each other aloud in Naskapi using the Bible in their own language. They also practice typing in Naskapi, once again using the Naskapi Bible as their model for "good spelling and structure". Thanks for your prayers for the Naskapi community, their vulnerability to pandemic, and the young people learning to read their own language and reading the Bible.
크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 나스카피
지난달 지역 보건당국이 나스카피 마을에 오미크론 발생으로 인한 이동중지 명령을 내렸습니다. 그러나 하나님은 여전히 나스카피 사람들 중에서 그들의 언어로 말씀을 계속 전하십니다. 약 12년전, 빌 선교사는 맥길 대학교 교사 양성 프로그램에서 나스카피 읽기 쓰기등 4과정을 가르치는 특권을 누렸었는데, 이번 가을, 그 학교에서 또 다른 지원자들에게 양질의 대학 수준의 교육 자원을 제공을 위한 맥길 대학과의 협업으로 새로운 프로그램을 재개했고, 빌 선교사는 이번에도 나스카피 문법, 읽기, 쓰기, 역사 강좌의 강사로 초대되었습니다. 이번 나스카피 강좌는 모두 "온라인"과정이며16명의 젊은 나스카피 학생들이 등록했습니다. 강의 시간에 나스카피 동사, 명사와 함께 역사및 문화, 그리고 읽기와 쓰기 연습 시간도 있습니다. 그럼 교과서는? 네 성경이 교과서로 채택되었습니다. 학생들은 자기네 말로 된 성경으로 서로에게 큰 소리로 읽어주게 됩니다. 그들은 또한 나스카피어로 타이핑을 연습하게 되는데, 역시 성경책을 교본으로 삼아 "좋은 철자법과 문장 구조"를 실습하게 됩니다. 나스카피 원주민 공동체를 위해 계속 기도해주시고, 대유행병에 매우 취약한 원주민 젊은이들의 건강을 지켜주시도록, 자기네 모어를 배우고 자기네 말로 된 성경을 읽는 이 귀한 학생들을 위하여 기도로 동참해 주세요.

More than consultant checking: Papua New Guinea
When translation consultant, Duncan Kasokason began checking Romans with the Onobasulu translation team, he could see that they were eager to hear the Scriptures in their language. From Romans 6 onward, people started asking for prayer as they were convicted by the Word. When this happened, Duncan would stop the checking and they prayed together. Duncan said, ‘We thought we were here just to do consultant checking but we found out that it was much more than that. People repented and gave their lives to the Lord’. Praise the Lord for the power of his Word. Pray for God’s presence and guidance during the checking session for Hebrews and Galatians.
번역 점검보다 더 귀한 말씀의 능력: 파푸아뉴기니

Waterproof cover material needed for New Testament printing: Spain
The Fa d'Ambu New Testament (translated in Spain) is now in print after a long supply-chain delay for waterproof paper. This special paper is needed for speakers living on the tropical island of Annobon in Equatorial Guinea. Continue praying for this translation. The print shop cannot bind the New Testaments until the plastic waterproof cover material becomes available in Spain. Pray that it will arrive soon. Pray for a possible New Testament launching celebration in 2022.
