WBTC-GBT English tutoring program completed
We are very thankful to God for the successful completion of the English tutoring pilot program for GBT staff in collaboration between Wycliffe Canada and Global Bible Translators (GBT), January to May, by His grace. Through this opportunity, GBT participants have had a good practical opportunity to improve their English communication skills, especially in the multinational ministry team environment. The Canadian tutors have enjoyed the privilege of learning from each other by sharing life and cultural diversity as our Lord originally intended. We deeply appreciate the commitments made not only by all related parties, Canadian tutors and GBT participants, but also by the coordination team and the leadership of both Wycliffe organizations. We hope to reopen the program in the coming fall. Please pray that God will help us continue this mutually beneficial program.
캐나다와 한국 영어 튜터링 프로그램 성료
지난 1월부터 5월 사이에 진행된 한국성경번역선교회 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 튜터링 파일럿 프로그램이 하나님의 은혜로 잘 마치게 됨을 감사드립니다. 이번 기회를 통해서 GBT 선교사들은 사역 현장에서의 영어 소통, 특히 다민족 사역 팀 환경에서의 영어 의사소통 능력을 향상시키는 좋은 기회를 얻었고, 캐나다 교사들 역시, 하나님이 본래 의도하신 바대로, 서로의 헌신된 삶과 문화적 다양성을 나누며 함께 배우는 특권을 누렸습니다. 참가자들과 교사들의 헌신과, 동시에 GBT와 위클리프 캐나다의 코디네이션 팀과 두 단체 리더십의 지원에 감사 드립니다. 이번 가을에 다시 프로그램을 열 예정인데, 하나님께서 두 단체 간의 협력을 통해 상호 유익이 되는 이 프로그램이 지속되도록 기도해 주세요.
Explore Nigeria
A virtual tour to Nigeria with four sessions, 10:00 am to noon, on Saturdays, started on May 7. Participants will experience how Bible translation ministry brings God's Word to language communities diverse in their language and cultures. We already dealt with two themes in the last two sessions: May 7-Culture and language, May 14-Worldview and communicating the Gospel. We are thankful for those participants for the last two Saturdays, and ask your prayer that many people will take part in the following two sessions as well. We will cover the following two topics: May 21-The Work of Bible Translation in Nigeria, May 28-The Work of the Holy Spirit in People's Hearts. 나이지리아 가상 여행
지난 5월 7일부터 매주 토요일 동부 시간으로 오전 10-정오 12시에 나이지리아 가상 투어가 시작되었습니다. 다양한 언어와 문화가 상존하는 나이지리아에서 어떻게 하나님의 말씀을 번역해야 할지, 성경번역 선교의 현장을 다녀보는 시간입니다. 지난 두 세션에서 언어와 문화에 대해, 다른세계관을 가진 분들에게 어떻게 복음을 나누는지에 대해 다뤘습니다. 참여해주신 분들께 감사드리고, 계속해서 많은 분들 특히 선교에 관심 있는 청년들이 참여하고 원활한 인터넷 연결로 전체 행사가 잘 진행되도록 기도해 주세요. Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
K Project: The project’s MLE School Coordinator visited three other schools in the area and gave an overview of “K” language development and MLE efforts. These presentations were well received. The hope is that such efforts will increase awareness of the benefits of early education in the mother tongue and will increase the use of the written language through materials available in print and through interaction on social media. The MLE School Coordinator made a presentation at a government middle school in a nearby village. Both teachers and students participated. The School Coordinator made a presentation at a high school teacher training session in his home village, which was well received also. The Project Coordinator had at least three opportunities to meet with university students from the K area who are studying in different cities in the province. Please ask for God’s wisdom and grace on the K project.

K 프로젝트: 다중 언어 교육(MLE) 학교 코디네이터가 이 지역 다른 3개 학교를 방문하여 K 언어 개발과 MLE 노력에 대한 개요를 홍보했는데 좋은 반응을 얻었습니다. 이러한 노력이 모어로 가르치는 조기교육의 이점에 대한 인식을 높이고 인쇄물로 제공되는 자료들과 소셜미디어에서의 상호작용을 통해 번역된 글의 활용도를 높일 수 있기를 소망합니다. MLE 학교 코디네이터는 인근 마을 공립 중학교에서 교사들과 학생 모두 참여한 가운데 발표회를 가졌습니다. 그리고 그 학교 코디네이터는 자기 고향마을 한 고등학교 교사 연수회에서 같은 내용으로 발표했는데 역시 좋은 반응을 얻었습니다. 아울러 프로젝트 코디네이터는 도내 다른 도시에서 공부하고 있는 K지역 대학생들을 만날 수 있는 기회가 최소 3차례나 있었습니다. 이 사역에 하나님의 지혜와 은혜가 넘치도록 기도해 주세요.

Joint partnership event: Asia-Pacific
The success of a joint
funding event in 2021 encouraged 18 Alliance organizations to collaboratively organize
a similar event on 21 May called ‘God’s Word for All’. The organizations are in
Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Bangladesh, India,
Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand and
the SIL Asia Area. Ask God for wisdom and guidance for those co-hosting the
event. Pray for meaningful collaboration and a sense of unity as they prepare
and plan together. Pray that this event will guide the church and followers of
Jesus to a greater awareness of and more opportunities for partnership and
resourcing Bible translation and related ministries.
동역단체들의 연합 행사: 아시아-태평양 지역
지난 2021년 18개 국제연대 단체들이 함께했던 성공적인 연합 모금 행사에 힘입어 이와 유사한 “모두를 위한 하나님의 말씀' 이라는 주제의 행사로 5월 21일 다시 모입니다. 참가 단체들은 한국, 일본, 홍콩, 대만, 태국, 필리핀, 방글라데시, 인도, 말레이시아, 싱가포르, 인도네시아, 파푸아뉴기니, 호주, 뉴질랜드와 SIL 아시아 지역에서 모입니다. 이번 행사를 공동으로 주최하는 모든 이들에게 하나님의 지혜와 인도하심이 있도록, 또한 함께 행사를 준비하고 계획하는 동안 의미있는 협력과 하나됨의 역사가 일어나도록, 이 행사가 교회와 성도들을 잘 이끌어 성경 번역과 관련 사역들에 대한 많은 인식과 협력, 자원을 모으는 좋은 기회가 되도록 기도해 주세요.
Serving the most needy communities: Perú
AIDIA (Asociación
Interdenominacional para el Desarrollo Integral de Apurímac, Perú) facilitators constantly visit communities in the
Apurímac region of Perú and bring baskets of basic food products for the most
needy and extremely poor people. Church leaders and pastors from other
communities also come to the AIDIA office to request products for their church
members. Priority is given to the elderly, single mothers, widows, orphaned
children and families in great need. Along with the distribution of these
baskets, AIDIA facilitators share the Word of God with the people in the
communities who are willing to hear and to open their homes to the
facilitators. Give thanks for AIDIA's generosity in delivering approximately
1,500 food baskets among families in the different communities that they serve.
Pray that many of these families will experience spiritual transformation by
the Word of God.
가장 도움이 필요한 공동체를 섬김: 페루
아이디아 (페루 아푸리맥 종합 개발을 위한 초교파 파트너십) 조력자들은 페루의 아푸리맥 지역을 지속적으로 방문하여 가장 궁핍한 극빈자를 위한 기초 식량 바구니(구호품)를 배급합니다. 타 지역의 교회 지도자들과 목회자 들도 자기네 교인들을 위한 구호품을 신청하기 위해 아이디아 사무실에 옵니다. 노인, 미혼모, 과부, 고아 및 도움이 절실히 필요한 가정에 우선권이 주어집니다. 이 바구니의 배포와 더불어 조력자들에게 마음을 열어 듣고 자기네 집을 오픈하는 마을 사람들에게 조력자들은 하나님의 말씀을 나눕니다. 섬기고 있는 여러 다른 공동체 가정들에게 약 1,500개의 음식 바구니를 전달하는 아이디아팀의 넉넉한 나눔을 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다. 이 들 중 많은 가정들이 하나님의 말씀으로 영적 변화를 경험하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Praise God for the videos recently completed by VM Productions, an SIL team based at JAARS: TsuReshe-Cirami (Eastern) ACTS (Nigeria), and the LUMO LUKE video in a sensitive language of the Middle East. Pray for creative and effective distribution of these videos and that God will use them to change lives for his glory.

Praise God for the Service Desk operated by our Technology and Business Services department. Pray for continued growth and use of the Service Desk, helping staff get the help and services they need to do their jobs, which ultimately helps make Bible translation possible.
