Bible Sunday at Calgary Korean Presbyterian Church
We are very thankful to God for Calgary Presbyterian Church (Rev. Sung-Duck Nam, senior pastor) who has partnered with Wycliffe Canada since 2005 when we began developing a friendship, and officially since 2009 when we had an MoU between the two. CKPC has eagerly worked with the Korean Diaspora Engagement team in developing mission education programs, has generously given financial support, and released prayer teams to serve the Bibleless people groups and Canadian churches. We thank CKPC for inviting Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee to keep the Bible Sunday as a part of commemorating their 50th anniversary, which also refreshed our partnership with each other. We bless the coming half century of CKPC, asking for your prayers, that they will partner with God on His Mission and with His Church to bless the lost as a missional church.
성서 주일 행사: 캘거리한인장로교회
지난 2005년부터 위클리프 캐나다와 성경번역 선교를 위해 관계를 맺고, 2009년부터 공식 협력교회로 다양한 선교훈련 프로그램 개발과 섬김, 기도팀 파송, 킹덤 프렌드십 , 풍성한 헌금 등으로, 위클리프 캐나다의 디아스포라 동원사역과 성경번역 사역을 위해 동역해 주신 캘거리한인장로교회(남성덕 담임목사)에 감사드립니다! 성서주일을 맞아 이규준/한진숙 선교사 부부를 초청하여 간담회 및 말씀 나눔 시간을 통해 성경번역 선교를 위한 동역의 마음을 새롭게 하는 계기로 삼아주심에 감사드립니다. 50주년을 맞아 또 다가오는 50년을 더욱 하나님의 선교를 위해 주님과 동역하고 위클리프를 비롯하여 모든 하나님의 교회와 동역하는 더 복 된 선교적 교회가 되도록 축원하며, 여러분의 기도를 부탁드립니다.
WBTC-GBT English tutoring program completed
We are very thankful to God for the successful completion of the English tutoring program for GBT staff in collaboration between Wycliffe Canada and Global Bible Translators (GBT), October to December, by His grace. Through this opportunity, GBT participants have had a good practical opportunity to improve their English communication skills, especially in the multinational ministry team environment. The Canadian tutors have enjoyed the privilege of learning from each other by sharing life and cultural diversity as our Lord originally intended. We deeply appreciate the commitments made not only by all related parties, Canadian tutors and GBT participants, but also by the coordination team and the leadership of both Wycliffe organizations. We hope to resume the program in the next spring. Please pray that God will help us continue this mutually beneficial program.
캐나다와 한국 영어 튜터링 프로그램 성료
지난 10월부터 12월 사이에 진행된 한국성경번역선교회(GBT) 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 튜터링 프로그램이 하나님의 은혜로 잘 마치게 됨을 감사드립니다. 이번 기회를 통해서 GBT 선교사들은 사역 현장에서의 영어 소통, 특히 다민족 사역 팀 환경에서의 영어 의사소통 능력을 향상시키는 좋은 기회를 얻었고, 캐나다 교사들 역시, 하나님이 본래 의도하신 바대로, 서로의 헌신된 삶과 문화적 다양성을 나누며 함께 배우는 특권을 누렸습니다. 참가자들과 교사들의 헌신과, 동시에 GBT와 위클리프 캐나다의 코디네이션 팀과 두 단체 리더십의 지원에 감사 드립니다. 내년 봄에 다시 시도할 예정인데, 하나님께서 두 단체 간의 협력을 통해 상호 유익이 되는 이 프로그램이 지속되도록 기도해 주세요.

Exegesis seminar partnership: Philippines
Racquel Mijares, a translation consultant of the Translators Association of the Philippines (TAP) helped teach the Basic Exegesis Seminar to translation teams of TAP and Wycliffe Philippines for five consecutive Saturdays to help project managers, facilitators and others to better understand the significance of rightly done exegesis, and the profitability of going through the correct process in Bible translation. Praise the Lord for his wisdom and guidance to Racquel as she prepared and shared her expertise. Pray for the participants to continue to improve their skills as they practice their learnings from the seminar. Ask the Lord for good teamwork for those working together in partnerships.
성경 주해 세미나 동역: 필리핀
필리핀 번역가 협회의 번역 자문 위원인 라헬 선교사는 협회와 위클리프필리핀 팀의 프로젝트 관리자, 조력자들 및 함께 사역하는 다른 이들에게 5주 동안 매주 토요일마다 제대로 된 주해의 중요성과 올바른 성경 번역 과정을 통해 얻어지는 유익함을 이들이 더 잘 이해할 수 있도록 기초 주해 세미나를 인도했습니다. 라헬 선교사가 이 과정을 준비하고 나누는 동안 지혜와 인도하심을 허락하신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 참가자들이 세미나에서 배운 내용들을 연습하며 계속해서 주해 능력이 향상되도록, 또한 함께 섬기는 이들과의 좋은 팀사역이 되도록 기도해 주세요.
Strategic prayer needs for the whole Alliance: Global
During Global Connect the Executive Director of the Wycliffe Global Alliance, Stephen Coertze, reminded us to thank God for the foundations to our work that those who went before us have contributed to the Bible translation movement. Ask God to use our contributions to bring fruit all around the world in the coming years. We praise God for churches in many countries giving leadership in Bible translation programs. Please pray for three areas highlighted by Stephen. 1-A discussion on People Serving in Mission will be launched in January. Pray for robust and fruitful discussions with solid outcomes. 2-A new funding model was launched this fiscal year. The Alliance is now funded through both fees and projects that Alliance organizations can contribute to. Pray that many will give generously. 3-Thank God that we are growing in understanding and practicing collaboration. Pray that we will continue to grow in collaborating well both within the Alliance and with outside partners.

글로벌 커넥트 기간동안 위클리프 국제연대 대표인 스티븐 선교사는 선배 선교사님들이 기여한 성경 번역 사역의 기초들을 인해 하나님께 감사하자고 상기시켰습니다. 다가올 수년 동안에도 이 사역의 열매를 맺기 위해 우리의 헌신을 사용해 주시도록, 성경 번역 프로그램에서 리더십을 발휘하는 여러 나라의 교회를 인해 하나님을 찬양합니다. 스티븐 선교사가 강조한 이 세 가지를 위해서 함께 기도해 주세요. 1-“선교를 섬기는 이들”에 대한 토론이 1월에 시작됩니다. 확실한 결과물을 내는 건강하고 유익한 토론이 되도록, 2-이번 회계 연도에 새로운 재정 지원 모델이 시행됩니다. 국제 연대는 각 연대 단체들이 기여할 수 있는 분담금과 프로젝트들을 통해 재정을 마련합니다. 후한 재정이 모금되도록, 3-서로간에 협력하고 실천하는 가운데 함께 성장하고 있음을 알게 하신 하나님께 감사드리며, 국제 연대 안에서 뿐만 아니라 대외동역자들과의 협력을 통해 지속적으로 성장할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Praise God for new software that enables our Communications team to catalog and share thousands of images belonging to JAARS and its partners. Pray for team members who are learning and implementing this software.
