박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 파푸아뉴기니 카니누와족 성경번역

아직도 카니누와 성경 번역 사역은 가야 할 길이 멀고, 할 일이 많지만 이제까지의 삶과 사역이, 오로지 하나님의 은혜임을 고백하며 감사드립니다! 특별히 박 선교사 부부와 카니누와 사람들을 위해 기도와 물질로 그리고 여러가지 후원으로 함께 동역하는 믿음의 식구들에게 감사를 올려드립니다. 요한계시록 마을 점검을 다 마쳤고, 디모데전후서, 디도서, 빌레몬서, 유다서 및 야고보서를 번역하고 있는데 팀원들이 성령의 도우심으로 말씀을 깊이 공부하고 잘 번역할 수 있도록, 12월에 있을 마을 행사들이 많은데, 초등학교 중학교 졸업식과 성탄절 축하 운동 경기 (남자 축구, 여자 배구), 밤샘 노래 부르기 등이 잘 준비되고 안전하게 진행되도록 기도해 주세요

Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible translation, Papua New Guinea (PNG)

Still, Kaninuwa and the Bible translation ministry have a long way to go and a lot of work to do, and it is only by God's grace that we have come this far. We are especially grateful to our friends of faith who partner with us in prayer, resources, and many other support for Kaninuwa People. The Kaninuwa translation team has finished the village checking of the book of Revelation and are translating 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Jude, and James, so please pray that the team will study the Word deeply to translate those books well with the help of the Holy Spirit. Pray also for the upcoming village events in December; primary school and junior high school graduations, athletic events to celebrate Christmas (men's soccer, women's volleyball), and all-night sing-a-longs to be well organized and carried out safe.

킹덤 프렌드십
크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 킹피셔 레이크, 오지-크리

오지-크리 번역팀과 킹피셔 레이크 공동체를 위해 특별히 중보 부탁드립니다. 11월 초에 있었던 11세 소녀의 비극적인 자살 사건으로 인해 킹피셔 레이크 팀에서 등록한 참가예정자 5명 중 한 명도 지난 워크숍에 참석하지 못했습니다. 킹피셔 레이크 마을에 살고 있는 성경 번역 조력자인 매튜와 케이틀린 선교사는 주의 인도하심에 따라 공동체에 남아 현지의 필요를 채우도록 격려받았습니다. 프로젝트 책임자인 빌 선교사는, “젊은이가 스스로 목숨을 끊으면 공동체의 많은 가정들에 영향을 미치며, 이번과 같은 사태로 인해 공동체의 다른 여러 문제들과 과제들이 수면 아래로 가려진다."라고 말합니다. 마을 사람들이 암흑같은 이 상황에서 빛이신 예수님께로 돌아올 수 있도록, 남겨진 모든 사람들이 주의 위로함 받도록 기도해 주세요. 단기적, 또는 장기적인 건강한 대처 방법을 위해, 지역사회 전체가 영적으로 보호받을 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 매튜와 케이틀린 선교사 가정이 지역사회를 섬기는 데 잘 쓰임받도록, 그리고 하나님께서 이 비극을 번역 사역을 통해 사람들을 주께로 인도하는 데 사용하시도록 기도해 주세요.

Kingdom Friendship
Cree initiative: Kingfisher Lake, Oji-Cree (Oh-jeh-Kree)

Please lift up special prayers for the Oji-Cree translation team and the Kingfisher Lake community. They are all deeply affected by the tragic suicide of an 11-year-old girl at their community in early November, and because of this, none of the five Oji-Cree participants that we were expecting from Kingfisher Lake were able to attend the workshop. Matthew and Caitlin Windsor, the Bible translation facilitators who live in the Kingfisher Lake community, were encouraged to stay in the community and meet the local needs as the Lord led them. Bill Jancewicz writes, “When a young person takes their own life it affects many families all across the community, and there are also several other problems and challenges in the community that get overshadowed by an event like this.” Please pray that everyone would turn to Jesus as the Light in this darkness, pray for comfort for all those left behind. Pray for healthy coping mechanisms - both short and long term. Pray for community-wide spiritual protection. Pray that Matt and Caitlin will be used by God to minister to the family and community and that God will use this tragedy to draw people to Himself through the translation work

Streams of Prayer 위클리프 국제 연대 격주 기도제목

'마음 훈련하기’ 과정: 바누아투, 호주

위클리프 호주팀의 웹 선교사부부가 지난 9월 바누아투에서 진행한 '트레넴 팅팅'(마음 훈련하기) 과정이 성공적으로 잘 마쳤음을 인하여 감사드립니다. 이전 세션에 참석하지 못한 이들이 있었지만, 이번에는 모든 참가자들이 참석할 수 있도록 하나님께서 기도에 응답해 주셨습니다. 이 마음 훈련하기 과정의 참가자들은 사람들에게 성경을 읽고 믿음이 자랄 수 있도록 가르치는 방법을 배웠습니다. 하나님께서 이들에게 가르침을 위한 문을 열어주시고 모든 기회를 최대한 활용하여 명확하고 지혜롭게 가르치도록 기도해 주세요. (골로새서 4:3-5) 바누아투는 남태평양에서 가장 열악한 국가 중 하나로 44 개 언어종족이 자기네 말로 된 성경을 필요로 하고 있습니다. 이들을 위해 데살로니가후서 3장 1절로 기도합니다. 모든 바누아투 사람들이 말씀을 듣고 주님을 친밀하게 알게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

‘Train your mind’ training: Vanuatu, Australia

Give thanks for the success of the ‘Trenem Tingting’ (Train your Mind) module run in Vanuatu in September by Wycliffe Australia personnel Ross and Lyndal Webb. Some people had been unable to attend previous training sessions, but God answered prayers to enable every participant to come this time. ‘Trenem Tingting’ participants learned to teach others how to read the Bible and grow in their faith. Pray that God opens a door for their teaching and that they teach clearly and with wisdom, making the most of every opportunity. (Colossians 4:3-5) Vanuatu is one of the most disadvantaged nations of the South Pacific. There are 44 groups that need Scripture in their language. Pray 2 Thessalonians 3:1 for them. Pray for each ni-Vanuatu to know the Lord intimately by hearing his Word.

에스아이엘의 글로벌 수화 팀에 따르면 전 세계 수화 중 약 20%는 어떤 형태로든 성경을 가지고 있습니다. 지난 9월 위클리프 말레이시아는 수화 번역 프로젝트를 위한 특별기도회를 가졌습니다. 초청 연사 사라와 시우를 통해 참석한 이들이 수화에 대해 더 많이 배울 수 있도록 해주신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 이들과 또 다른 수화 사역자들을 보호해 주시고 이들의 필요를 채워주시도록, 수화 번역의 필요성에 대한 인식이 높아져 많은 교회와 개인들이 이 프로젝트에 동참할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Focused prayer meeting: Malaysia

According to SIL's Global Sign Languages Team, around 20% of sign languages around the world have some form of Scripture. In September, Wycliffe Malaysia conducted a prayer meeting focused on sign language translation projects. Praise God for guest speakers Sarah and Siew who helped attendees to learn more about sign languages. Pray for the Lord’s protection and provision for them and other sign language workers. Ask God to raise awareness for sign language translation needs so that many churches and individuals will become involved in and pray for the projects.

JAARS Prayerline

Pray for our Aviation staff as they conduct technical evaluations for pilots, mechanics, and an aviation maintenance technician. Pray that these candidates will see their time at JAARS as a confirmation of God’s will in their missionary aviation journey.

Pray for our recruiting efforts for expanding the JAARS staff. Ask that we will be adaptable in reaching out to the next generation and grow in our ability to mentor them.

As we conduct the commissioning ceremony for our Cohort Golf Fellows, join their families, friends, and coaches in praying for the plans God has for them.
