이규준 / 한진숙 선교사: 디아스포라 협력 디렉터, 캐나다

이 선교사 부부가 지난 주간에 워신턴 DC 근교에 있는 열린문교회에서 캐나다와 미국의 카이로스 코스 책임 조력자들과 훈련생들을 대상으로 책임 조력자 훈련, 동원학 개론 (Mobi 101), 청소년부터 장년까지 아우를 수 있는 '완수할 이야기 (The Unfinished Story for Youth) 등을 잘 섬길 수 있었음에 감사드립니다! 이 선교사는 이번 주 화요일 (1월 22일) 저녁에 캐나다 모자이크 칼리지의 도시선교사 양성 프로그램 오픈 강좌에서 카이로스 코스와 같은 SM 프로그램들을 통한 선교적 교회 성장에 대한 강의를 합니다. 모든 사역을 통해 교회와 성도들이 하나님의 선교에 동참하고 특히 성경 번역 선교에 함께 협력하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada

Praise God that Gyoojun and Jinsook served well last week at Open Door Church in the Washington DC neighborhood, teaching Kairos Course Head facilitators and trainees from Canada and the U.S. on Head Facilitators Training Course, Mobi 101, and The Unfinished Story for Youth, which covers youths through elders! On Tuesday evening, January 22, Gyoojun delivers an opening lecture at the Urban Missionary Training Program at Canada Mosaic College at Tyndale Intercultural Ministry Center on growing missional churches through SM programs like the Kairos Course. Pray for the church and its members to partner in God's mission, especially for Bible translation ministries for the Bibleless people groups through all the ministries of the Lees.

에드먼턴 지역 한국어 카이로스 코스

오는 2월 6일부터 3월 26일까지 매주 화요일 저녁과 3/16일 하루 종일, 알버타주 에드먼턴 지역 교회들을 위한 카이로스 한국어 코스가 하이브리드방식으로 열립니다. 팬데믹 이후 다시 열리는 이 코스를 통해 여러 성도들이 선교적 삶의 도전을 받을 뿐만 아니라, 지역 내에 하나님의 선교 운동이 재개되고 활성화 되도록 기도해 주세요. 섬기는 이 선교사 부부와 여러 조력자들을 위해서도 기도해 주세요.

Kairos Korean Course for churches in the Edmonton area

A hybrid (online and in-person) Kairos Korean course for churches in the Edmonton area is held every Tuesday evening from February 6 to March 26 (and one day on March 16). Pray that this post-pandemic course will challenge several believers in their missional lives and that God's missionary movement in the region will be renewed and revitalized. Pray also for the missionary couple and several helpers who are serving.

알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자

마르다와 알버트 선교사 가정의 사역에 동역해 주시는 캐나다의 여러 교회와 성도님들께 감사드리고, 계속해서 더 깊은 동역이 이뤄지길 기도합니다! 마르다 선교사는 창의적 접근지역에서 사역하는 선교사들을 위한 지원과 돌봄사역을 계속하고 있습니다. 최근에 이 지역에 새롭게 배치된 가정과 잘 의사소통이 이뤄지고 이분들의 사역지 정착과 사역이 본 궤도에 오르도록 잘 지원할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 작년 여름에 녹음을 마친 대만 남부 루카이(魯凱族) 민족 오디오 성경에 대해, 현지 교회들의 주도로 은혜롭게 봉헌식을 거행하였음에 감사드립니다! 루카이 오디오 성경 앱이 잘 배포되고 사용되어 그분들의 삶이 변혁되도록, 그리고 대만 위클리프가 다음 오디오 성경 녹음이 필요한 소수 민족을 잘 결정할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 알버트 선교사는 대만 남부 시라야(西拉雅) 부족 언어를 AI를 통해 초벌번역하는 가능성을 알아보고 있는데, 하나님께서 선하게 인도하시도록 기도해 주세요. (이 언어는 유네스코에서 소멸될 언어로 정한 인구 약 만여 명 정도의 소수 민족어로, 과거 네덜란드의 선교사가 로만 알파벳을 개발하고 마태복음과 요한복음 등 신약 일부를 번역했습니다.)

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager of a sensitive area, respectively

We are thankful for churches and individual Christians in Canada who have partnered with the Fung family, and we pray for continued and deeper partnerships! Martha continues providing support and care for missionaries in the creative approach area. Pray for good communication with a new family recently assigned to the area and for Martha to support them in settling in and getting their ministry on the right track. The Fungs are also thankful for the dedication service of the Rukai Audio Bible, the recording of which finished last summer. It was more meaningful as the churches of the Rukai people of southern Taiwan graciously organized and carried out this service for themselves. Please pray that this audio Bible is well distributed and used to transform the lives of the Rukai people and that Wycliffe Taiwan will be able to identify the next minority group that needs the audio Bible. Please pray for God's wisdom and guidance as Albert is exploring the possibility of using AI to translate the Bible into the Shiraya language of southern Taiwan. (Shiraya is an ethnic minority language with a population of about 10,000 that UNESCO lists as an endangered language. In the past, Dutch missionaries developed the Roman alphabet and translated parts of the New Testament, including the Gospels of Matthew and John.)

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 블랙풋

작년 11월 초에 열린 원주민 번역가 훈련 워크숍에 참석한 한 블랙풋 부족팀 참가자의 다음과 같은 간증을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다."번역 과정은 힘든 작업입니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 웃음과 교제가 있는 즐거운 작업이었습니다. 우리 팀은 계속 사역할 수 있어 기쁩니다! 토착어를 살리기 위한 노력은 역류에서 노를 젓는 것과 같습니다. 차세대를 위해 꼭 필요한 일은 우리 원주민 언어인 블랙풋어로 성경을 사용할 수 있게 하는 것입니다." 작년 12월 앨버타주 레스브리지에서 열린 두 번째 블랙풋 원주민어 번역 세션을 가진 것 감사를 드립니다. 번역팀은 주기도문, 사도신경, 축도문 등 성공회 전통의 기도문과 예식서를 번역하기를 소망하고 있습니다. 하나님의 은혜가 팀원들과 그들의 사역에 힘을 더해 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Cree initiative: Blackfoot

Praise God for this response from one Blackfoot participant at the First Nations Translation Workshop in early November: "The translation process is hard work. Even so, it was a joyful work with laughter and fellowship. Our team is excited to continue! The effort to keep indigenous languages alive is like paddling upstream. An essential work for future generations is for the Bible to be available in Blackfoot." Praise God for a second Blackfoot translation session on December 13-14 in Lethbridge, Alberta. The team hoped to translate prayers and liturgy from the Anglican tradition, including the Lord's Prayer, Creed, and Benediction. Pray that God's grace strengthens the team members and their ministries.

최근 지진으로 피해를 입은 공동체들: 필리핀

작년 12월 초 민다나오 섬에 규모 7.6의 지진이 발생해 3 명의 사망자가 났습니다. 위클리프 필리핀과 동역하여 프로젝트를 진행하고 있는 여러 공동체들이 이 재앙으로 인해 피해를 입었습니다. 이 언어 공동체들 (다바웨뇨 카틸, 마나이 중부, 마나이 북부, 카라가, 콜테사논, 카디, 태곤온, 탄다가논, 바안 풍골. 발루트 섬과 산호세 글란지역)을 지켜주신 하나님께 감사드립니다. 지역의 복구와 재건을 위해, 또한 사랑하는 이들과 재산을 잃고 고통받고 있는 사람들에게 하나님의 위로가 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Communities affected by the recent earthquake: Philippines

On 2 December, the island of Mindanao was hit by a 7.6 magnitude earthquake. Three deaths were recorded. Several communities that have projects in partnership with Wycliffe Philippines were affected by this catastrophe. Thank God for his protection of these language communities (Dabawenyo Cateel, Manay Central, Manay Upper, Caraga, Cortesanon, Kadi, Tagon-on, Tandaganon, B'laan Fungol: Balut Island and San Jose Glan area). Please pray for cleanup and reconstruction. May God comfort those who are suffering from the loss of a loved one and assets.

선교사 부모님들을 돌봄: 홍콩

위클리프 홍콩과 파울루스 문화 센터 (PCC) 간의 협력관계를 인해 주님을 찬양합니다. PCC는 훈련, 돌봄, 상담을 통해 타문화권 사역자들과 그 가족들을 지원하는 홍콩의 기독교 단체입니다. 작년 11월, PCC는 특히 위클리프 홍콩 사역자들의 노부모들을 위한 일일 투어를 섬겼습니다. 이 투어에는 위클리프 홍콩의 자원봉사자들, 사역자들을 포함해 60명의 참가자가 관광과 점심 식사를 하며 교외 지역을 방문했습니다. 노인들은 새로운 친구를 사귀는 것뿐 아니라 건강에 도움이 되는 간단한 운동 방법에 대한 교육도 받았고 이 행복한 하루로 인하여 감사드렸습니다! 하나님께서 PCC의 섬김을 통해 더 많은 사역자들과 그 가족들에게 복을 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Caring for the parents of mission workers: Hong Kong

Praise the Lord for the friendship between Wycliffe Hong Kong and Paulus Cultural Centre (PCC). PCC is a Christian organization in Hong Kong that supports cross-cultural workers and their families through training, caring, and counseling. On 20 November, PCC held a day tour, especially for the aged parents of Wycliffe Hong Kong’s staff. The tour took 60 participants, including several volunteers and staff of Wycliffe Hong Kong, to visit a suburban area for sightseeing and lunch. On top of having the chance to make new friends, these seniors also received training from an occupational therapist on how to do simple exercises to benefit their physical health. Give thanks for this happy day! May God continue to bless many more ministry workers and their families through the efforts of PCC.

Pray for opportunities for Africa IT Services to improve internet service in several locations by implementing Starlink satellite internet service.

Ask God to provide the staffing and coordination of mentorship processes needed by JAARS Aviation to conduct an effective mentorship program for young aviators.

Pray for our Cohort India Fellows as they undergo their initial orientation and training before entering their departments.
