Korean Diaspora Engagement  한인 디아스포라 협력

어린이 RBBB

에드먼턴한인안디옥장로교회(한흥렬 담임목사)에서는 올해 초부터 부모와 자녀가 함께 하는 어린이 성경읽기 및 성경 없는 부족 축복하기(RBBB) 운동에 참여하고 있습니다. 온라인에 준비되어 있는 성경읽기 진도표와 삽화가 곁들여진 성경번역 선교 이야기를 매주 읽으며 함께 성경없는 부족들을 위해 기도하고 헌금하는 운동입니다. 주일학교 담당 전도사님과 선생님이 학부모들과 연계하여 벌이고 있는 이 운동을 통해, 자녀들에게 어려서부터 주의 말씀을 사모하게 되고, 영원한 양식이 없어 영원히 목마르고 주리고 있는, 같은 성경없는 부족의 어린이들을 위해 함께 기도하며 축복하는 사역이 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Children's RBBB

Sunday school students of Edmonton Korean Antioch Presbyterian Church(Rev. Hanry Han, senior pastor) have participated in the Children's RBBB (Read the Bible Bless the Bibleless), a Scripture engagement movement, since the beginning of this year. The idea is to read the Bible three times a week, 10-15 verses, with an illustrated Bible translation mission story each week and an online Bible reading progress chart, and pray and give to the Bible-less tribes together. Pray that the Sunday school pastors and teachers, in partnership with parents, will lead their children to desire the Lord's Word from an early age and that they will pray and bless the children of the same Bible-less tribes who are forever thirsting and hungering for eternal food.

성경 번역 지원을 위한 라틴계 선교사들의 파송 협력: 과테말라

과테말라선교협회 대표들이 위클리프 국제연대와의 동역을 통해 콜롬비아에서 SIL팀원들과 만나 이들로 부터 세계 여러 지역에서 성경 번역을 이끌고 있는 라틴계 사역자들을 돌볼 라틴계 지원 선교사의 필요에 대해 들었습니다. 협회는 르네와 글로리아 아브레고 부부의 프로파일을 통해 두사람이 모두 심리학자임을 찾아보고 하나님의 준비하심을 볼 수 있었습니다. 르네는 중독에 관련해, 글로리아는 특수 아동 분야에서 석사 학위를 각 각 보유하고 있습니다. 선교협회는 미주 SIL와 함께 이들과의 인터뷰를 시작했고 이를 통해 이들이 성경 번역 동참할 다른 라틴계 사역자들과 합류하기를 기도하고 있는 위클리프 미국팀과 합류하게 되었습니다. 현재 르네와 글로리아는 위클리프 미국에서 6개월간 훈련 프로그램에 참여하며 다른 사역자들을 돕고 있습니다. 성경 번역 활동을 지원하기 위해 과테말라 출신의 일꾼들과 함께 할 수 있는 기회를 주신 하나님께 찬양을 올려 드립니다!

Partnering to send Latinos to support Bible translation efforts: Guatemala

Representatives from FAM Guatemala, through their partnership with the Alliance, met SIL members in Colombia. They heard from SIL that Latino staff need to help care for Latino workers who lead Bible translations in different parts of the world. FAM staff saw the hand of God in this since the profile described their workers, Rene and Gloria Abrego, both psychologists. Rene has a master's degree in addiction, and Gloria has a master's degree in caring for special-needs children. FAM Guatemala started interviews for the Abregos with SIL Americas. This led them to join Wycliffe USA, which was praying for a team of Latinos to join other Latinos serving in translation. René and Gloria are now in a six-month training program with Wycliffe USA, assisting some workers. Praise God for these opportunities to include workers from Guatemala to support Bible translation efforts.

해외 선교를 준비하는 위클리프 네덜란드의 신임 현지 사역자들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 하나님께서 충분한 재정과 기도 후원으로 채워주시고, 특별히 현지로 떠나는 시기에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 연로하신 부모님들의 건강을 위해 염려하고 있는 팀원들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 또한 여러 현지 사역자들이 곧 네덜란드로 귀국할 예정입니다. 쉽지 않은 재입국 절차를 위해 하나님께서 은혜를 베풀어 주시고 적절한 거처를 마련할 수 있도록, 현지와 파송 단체인 위클리프 네덜란드와 함께 끊임없이 변화하는 상황에 대처하고 있는 많은 현지 사역자들을 위해 계속 기도해 주세요.

Field staff: Netherlands

Pray for new field staff from Wycliffe Netherlands preparing to go overseas. Ask God to provide sufficient funding and prayer support. Please Pray for those who are concerned with the health of aging parents, which can affect when they can leave for the field. Various field staff are returning to the Netherlands soon. Pray also for grace, as re-entry isn’t easy. Pray that they can also find appropriate housing. Pray for the many field staff dealing with what seems like constant change, both on the field and with Wycliffe Netherlands as the sending organization.

JAARS Prayerline

Please pray for our Global Operations team as they interact with political leaders and nongovernment organizations to open new fields within the dense rainforests of South America, Africa, and Melanesia. Strategically placed transportation hubs would supply vital personnel, equipment, and resources to begin mission work in currently unreached areas of the world. Pray, too, that God would raise many gospel patrons who will give generously out of their abundance to advance God’s kingdom.
