Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan, Member Care

Martha’s family are grateful to have more of a sense of how God is working with their tasks and ministries. Albert will be attending the Asia-Pacific leadership conference the last week of March. Please pray that this will be a fruitful time for him in understanding more about the region, and networking with others at the conference. Please continue to pray for God’s wisdom and grace on the management of their time and for physical strength to do many tasks as they serve in their leadership and member care roles.

마르다 선교사 부부는 본부 사역을 감당하면서 자신의 기쁘신 뜻을 두고 행하시는 하나님의 일 하심을 더 많이 느끼며 감사하고 있습니다. 알버트 선교사는 이번 주간에 아시아 태평양 지역 리더십 모임에 참석합니다. 이번 모임을 통하여 이 지역을 좀 더 이해하고 좋은 협력의 네트워크를 잘 구축하는 결실이 있도록, 또한 지혜와 은혜주셔서 시간 관리와 다중 사역, 그리고 잘 감당할 건강도 주시길 기도해주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA) project: Bible translation, sensitive area

Please pray that there will be no difficulties to hinder the national colleagues and friends from travelling to the capital city to meet with the Ms*. Pray also for their health and stamina during this intensive time of preparation, travel and meetings. The “U” multi-lingual education school is just completing its third year of operation. Please pray for an affordable solution so this school can become a model for other schools in the “U” language area. *Pseudonym

실크로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역

현지 동역자들이 이 나라의 수도 지역에 있는 사역자들을 만나러 이동중인데 순조로운 여행길되도록, 그리고 이 집중 모임을 준비하는 일, 여행과 회의등에 필요한 건강과 끈기를 위하여 기도해주세요. “U” 다중언어 교육을 위한 학교가 이제 막 3년차 과정를 마치게되는데, 이 언어 지역내 교육 기관들중 경제적인 대안 학교로서의 좋은 시범이 되도록 손모아주세요.

Ambo Pasco Quechua New Testament: Peru

Praise God that the  Ambo Pasco Quechua  New Testament files are on their way to the printers in Korea. Pray for God to protect His Word in the printing process and the shipping of the books to  Peru . A celebration for this translation is scheduled for July 2018. Pray for the celebration planning, which should begin this summer. Ask God to prepare the hearts of the people in this language community to receive His Word in printed form. Pray that many respond to the message of salvation in Jesus.

여름부터 행사준비에 착수합니다. 책으로 출판된 하나님의 말씀을 받게되는 부족 사람들의 마음을 하나님께서 미리 예비하셔서 예수의 구원의 복음에 반응하도록 기도해주세요.

Korean church engagement: United States

A pair of workers (Rev. & Mrs. Chung) recently returned to the  United States  from an assignment in  Asia . God is leading them to share the challenges and needs of Bible translation in Korean churches in the United States. Pray that God will open many doors and opportunities for them. Pray that many churches and individuals will respond enthusiastically, resulting in widespread engagement with the Bible translation movement.

아시아 지역에서 사역하다 최근 미국으로 귀국한 두 한인 사역자(정봉수 선교사 부부)가 미국의 한인교회들에게 성경번역의 필요와 도전을 함께 나누도록 하나님의 인도하심을 받았습니다. 하나님께서 문을 열어 주셔서 많은 교회들과 성도들이 적극적으로 반응하고 성경번역 운동에 폭 넓게 협력하도록 기도해주세요.

Praise God for the wonderful results of using the “storying” method—teaching the gospel message through stories from Scripture. Stories are easy to remember, and they are a powerful way to get people’s attention.

성경 이야기를 통해 복음을 가르치는—“이야기” 방식을 사용하여 엄청난 결과들을 얻게되어 감사드립니다. 이야기는 기억하기가 쉽고 사람들의 관심을 유발하는 강력한 방법중 하나입니다.

Please pray for the plans to dub three JESUS films in the languages of a sensitive region. Funding, personnel coordination, and other vital preparation issues need prayer to come together.

보안지역의 언어들로 3개의 “예수” 영화를 더빙할 예정인데 기도해 주세요. 필요한 재정, 인력자원의 협력, 그리고 다른 필수적 준비 사안들을 위하여 우선적으로 필요한 것은 중보기도입니다. 

Praise God. The Wycliffe Hong Kong staff commits each workday to the Lord through a one-hour devotion and prayer time. Pray that the team will depend on Him as they transition to the leadership of Rence Law, the new executive director.
