Gyoojun and Jinsook Lee: Director of the Diaspora Engagement team

We are very thankful for the Kairos course which began on April 25 with 16 participants at Young Nak Church of Toronto (Rev. Minho Song, senior pastor), in the GTA. Please pray for Jinsook to serve the participants well, with other facilitators, so that all of them will be able to live a missional life as a fruit of this course. Pray also for Gyoojun as he is going to deliver a sermon at Journey with Christ Church in Toronto (Rev. Jin Won Hahm, senior pastor), as they celebrate with thanks to God for their anniversary on May 7. Pray that all congregants will work together to become a missional church walking together with God on His Mission, as Apostle Paul lived a devoted life with his firm conviction that God gave us His promise to bless all nations through His saved people.

지난 4월 25일부터 16명의 참가자들과 함께 토론토지역 카이로스 코스를 토론토영락교회(송민호 담임목사)에서 시작하게 되었음에 감사드립니다. 한진숙 선교사가 책임조력자로서 다른 조력자들과 함께 잘 섬김으로, 참가자들 모두 선교적 삶으로 변화되는 열매가 있도록 기도해 주세요. 이규준 선교사는 5월 7일(주일)에 순례길교회(함진원 담임목사) 창립 기념 선교주간에 말씀을 전하게 됩니다. 모든 민족에게 복을 주시는 하나님의 약속에 대한 확실한 소망을 갖고 헌신의 삶을 살았던 바울처럼, 하나님과 동행하는 교회가 되도록, 복된 은혜의 말씀이 잘 나눠지게 기도해 주세요. 

WBTC-GBT the 4th English tutoring program

The 4^th season of the English tutoring program, which started in early March, to improve the English proficiency of some Global Bible Translators (GBT, aka Wycliffe Korea), will end on May 10. During these 10 sessions, the tutors from Wycliffe Canada and the students from GBT had mutual learning with various discussion topics related to the life and ministry of field workers, based on 1 John. GBT members were equipped for better communication on the mission field, and Canadian tutors were also encouraged by the diligence and dedicated life of the students. Please pray for the continuous collaboration between these two Wycliffe organizations, and for the coordination team as they follow up with the students and tutors. 

캐나다와 한국 4기 영어 튜터링 프로그램

지난 3월초부터 시작했던 한국성경번역선교회(GBT, 위클리프한국) 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 튜터링 프로그램 4기가  5월 10일 하나님의 은혜로 수료하게 됩니다. 10번의 세션 동안 요한일서를 읽으며, 선교사의 삶과 사역에 대한 여러가지 주제들에 대해 나눔과 상호 배움의 시간을 가졌습니다. 이번 기회를 통해서 GBT 선교사들은 사역 현장에서의 언어 소통을 위해 잘 준비하게 되었고, 캐나다 교사들도 GBT 선교사들의 헌신된 삶과 열성에서 큰 도전을 받았습니다. 두 단체 간에 지속적인 협력과, 참가자들과 교사들을 위한 후속 모임을 준비하고 있는 양국 코디네이터팀을 위해 기도해 주세요.

People conversation: Asia, Pacific
Pray for the Global People Conversation for the Asia-Pacific Area. This event is scheduled to take place 10-14 July in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Invitations will be sent to all 29 Alliance organizations in the Area, and each will be asked to send at least two representatives. Pray for guidance for leaders of each organization in selecting attendees. Pray for the Area leadership team as they prepare to facilitate the sessions as well as organize logistics for the gathering. 

대화의 장: 아시아, 태평양

아시아 태평양 지역에서 모이는 글로벌 대화의 장을 위해 기도해 주세요. 이 행사는 7월 10일부터 14일까지 말레이시아 쿠알라룸푸르에서 열릴 예정입니다. 이 지역 29개 위클리프 국제 연대 단체들에 초대장을 보내 각 단체에서 최소 2명의 대표를 보내도록 요청할 것입니다. 참가자를 결정하는 각 선교 단체 지도자들을 위해, 그리고 지역 리더십 팀이 모임을 준비하고 세부 사항들을 기획하는 모든 일꾼들을 위해 함께 기도해 주세요.  

Connecting with people: France
Wycliffe France has two clear mandates. First, the administrative team hopes to motivate people and churches to pray for revival through the work of Bible translation. This is multifaceted – linguistic, personal, church-based and societal. The second mandate is to support churches as they pray and seek God’s guidance for mission involvement that goes beyond the walls of their church and out to the ends of the earth. Please pray that Wycliffe France connects well with a diverse cross-section of people: leaders in churches and those interested in participating in God's mission; young and old; donors; intercessors; and those interested in becoming volunteer representatives for Wycliffe France throughout the country. Pray also for God’s direction for the ongoing Director search process. 

사람들과 소통: 프랑스

위클리프프랑스는 두 가지 분명한 사명을 가지고 있습니다. 첫째, 행정팀은 성경 번역 사역을 통해 사람들과 교회가 부흥되기를 위해 기도하도록 동기를 부여하고자 합니다. 이는 언어학적, 개인적, 교회 중심 및 사회적으로 다각적인 측면에서 이루어 집니다. 두 번째 책무는 교회들이 교회 담장을 넘어 땅 끝까지 선교에 참여하도록 기도하고 하나님의 인도하심을 구하도록 교회를 지원하는 사역입니다. 위클리프프랑스가 교회 지도자들과 하나님의 선교에 관심이 있는 다양한 년령대의 사람들; 재정으로 후원하는 이들, 중보 기도자들, 자원 봉사자로 섬기기를 원하는 이들과 같이 하나님의 선교에 관심이 있는 여러 다양한 분야의 헌신자들과 잘 연결될 수 있도록, 또한 계속 진행중인 대표 선교사 청빙 과정에 하나님의 인도하심이 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Pray that all oral people groups will soon have the blessing of God’s Word in a form that enables them to listen to it and see it. 

모든 구전 민족 그룹이 하나님의 말씀을 귀로 듣고 눈으로 읽을 수 있는 형태로 속히 가지게 되는 복을 누리도록 기도해 주세요. 

Pray that as young people come for a Vision Flight to learn about mission aviation, they will explore opportunities to serve as missionary pilots and mechanics! 

젊은이들이 항공 선교를 배우고 도전받는 비전 플라이트(12-21세 대상, 선교 훈련 프로그램)에 동참하므로 조종 선교사와 정비 선교사로 섬길 기회를 찾도록 기도해 주세요! 

Pray for recent and soon-to-be college grads who are applying to serve as JAARS Fellows. The application deadline for Cohort India is August 31.
