Gyoojun and Jinsook Lee: Director of the Diaspora Engagement team

We are thankful to God that the Kairos course in GTA is going well by His grace. Please pray that Jinsook will serve well both facilitators and participants, and share the rich stories of Bible translation through the course. Pray for good health and leadership for Gyoojun, as he visits the Dominican Republic with the short-term team to serve Haitian refugees there, from May 26-June. Pray also for the team's unity and preparation with fervent prayer, so that they can win over the possible spiritual encounters there with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Camp Wycliffe: Hong Kong, Thailand
Since 2006, Wycliffe Thai Foundation has been hosting Camp Wycliffe annually for young people who have a heart for missions. In recent years, they generously started to share this opportunity with other Alliance organizations. Wycliffe Hong Kong is one of these. The camp this year will take place from 20-27 May. On top of basic training in linguistics and Bible translation, participants will have the opportunity to taste cross-cultural living, listen to God’s Word as they reflect on their vocations, and serve through community projects. Please pray with Wycliffe Hong Kong that the right candidates will be led to join the camp. Pray also for continued blessing on their partnership with Wycliffe Thai Foundation.

캠프 위클리프: 홍콩, 태국

2006년부터 위클리프 태국은 선교에 뜻을 가진 젊은이들을 위해 매년 캠프 위클리프를 주최하고 있습니다. 최근 몇 년 동안 이 기회를 다른 국제연대 단체들과 함께 나누기 시작했으며 위클리프 홍콩이 이들 중 하나로 올해 캠프는 5월 20일부터 27일까지 진행됩니다. 언어학과 성경 번역에 대한 기본 훈련과정 외에도 참가자들은 타문화 생활을 체험하고, 자신의 소명을 돌아보며 하나님의 말씀을 듣고, 지역 사회 프로젝트를 통해 봉사할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 됩니다. 이 캠프에 적합한 지원자들이 동참할 수 있도록 위클리프 홍콩과 함께 기도해 주시고, 또한 위클리프 태국과 함께 파트너십 관계를 맺고있는 동역자들에도 지속적인 축복이 임하도록 기도해 주세요. 

Artificial Intelligence project: South Korea
Pray for a working group of the Global Bible Translators in South Korea. The group explores the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for Bible translation projects. Their pilot project seeks to render a draft of the Old Testament in the Dawn* language by using language data from the Dawn New Testament. Mr. Lee, an IT specialist, is leading this working group. Pray that he will receive support from other IT professionals as he balances his full-time job with facilitating the AI group. Mr Lee also desires to develop a method for producing International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) transcription from local voice data collections. Ask for the Lord’s favor as Mr. Lee prepares and submits an abstract of the research paper to be considered for an upcoming Bible translation conference in the United States. 인공 지능 프로젝트: 한국

한국성경번역선교회의 한 연구팀을 위해 기도해 주세요. 이 팀은 성경 번역 프로젝트에 인공 지능(AI) 기술 사용의 가능성을 연구하고 있습니다. 이 시범 프로젝트는 새벽(Dawn) 언어* 신약성경 자료를 사용하여 새벽*어로 구약의 초안을 만드는 일입니다. 정보통신(IT) 전문가인 이 선교사가 이 팀을 이끌고 있는데 맡은 사역과 인공지능 연구 사역을 원활하게 병행하는 동안 다른 IT 전문가들의 지원을 받을 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 이 선교사는 또한 현지 음성 자료들의 수집을 통해 국제 음성 알파벳 표기를 생성하는 방법을 개발하고자 합니다. 이 선교사가 곧 미국에서 있을 성경 번역 컨퍼런스에 제출할 연구 논문의 초록을 준비하고 제출하는 과정위에 은혜 주시기를, 그리고 연구팀에게 지혜와 단합, 지원이 잘 이루어 지도록 기도해 주세요. *보안명
