Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Regional Manager of a sensitive area, respectively (home assignment)

The recording project of the Rukai audio Bible, one of Taiwan's indigenous tribes, was completed on June 2. We are grateful to God for the smooth completion of the recording despite the fact that some of the people participating in the recording project were infected with COVID-19. A short-term medical mission team is leaving for PNG on June 21. Albert is helping to organize the medical mission team, so please pray that all the preparations will go smoothly. Pray also for travel safety, health, and God’s grace during the medical team’s trip.

대만의 원주민 부족중 하나인, 루카이족 오디오성경 녹음 작업이 지난 6월 2일 완료되었습니다. 작업중 녹음에 참여하는 팀원들중에 코로나 확진자가 나왔지만 순조롭게 잘 마치게 하심을 인하여 하나님께 감사드립니다. 파푸아뉴기니로 단기 의료 선교팀이 6월 21일 출발합니다. 알버트 선교사는 의료 선교팀의 사역을 돕고있는데 모든 준비가 순조롭게 잘 이루어 지도록, 또한 의료 단기 선교팀의 여행중 안전과 건강 그리고 하나님의 은혜로 인도해 주시길 기도해 주세요. 

Collaboration for church mobilization

We are very thankful that the Korean Diaspora teams of Simply Mobilizing Canada & US have been successfully working on church mobilization through serving diaspora churches with SM products like the Kairos Course, Interface, and other programs. At the strategic meeting held in Toronto for 3 days last week, the two Korean diaspora coordinators and national coordinators of SM US and Canada gathered together and made some important decisions to continue the successful mobilization movement for Korean diaspora churches in North America. They are at a tipping point for the coming year or two, so pray that this success will result in positive effects on the development of mobilization movements for other diaspora groups, including Hispanic diaspora (especially for English speaking churches in the US as well). Please pray that this collaboration between SM and Wycliffe Canada will help more of God's churches in North America join His Mission with gladness and passion. 

북미 교회 동원을 위한 협력

지난 한 주간 미국과 캐나다의 디아스포라 교회 동원을 위한 전략회의가 토론토에서 있었습니다. 이 모임을 통해 한인 디아스포라 교회를 통해 카이로스 코스와 인터페이스 등 심플리 모빌라이징 프로그램으로 성공적인 교회 동원이 이뤄지고 있음에 감사드리고, 앞으로 1~2년간 기존의 동원 운동이 전략적 기점을 맞아 하나님의 은혜로 더욱 잘 성장하도록, 또한 이것을 바탕으로 한인 뿐 아니라 (특히 미국의 영어 사용교회들과) 히스패닉과 다른 디아스포라 그룹을 위한 동원운동에 파급효과가 있기를 위해 기도했습니다. 위클리프와 심플리모빌라이징의 협력을 통해, 더 많은 하나님의 교회들이 기쁨과 열정으로 하나님의 선교에 동참하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Church engagement: Cameroon
The Cameroon Association for Bible Translation and Literacy (CABTAL) is joyful to be part of what God is doing in Cameroon through churches and communities in the Bible translation movement. Thank God that denominations, churches and church leaders in both rural and urban areas of Cameroon are investing significantly in Bible translation and language-based community development. These efforts keep growing. The prayer movement is enhanced as the number of churches and communities that engage in prayer support increases. Praise God that more and more people from the churches are getting involved in providing emotional support, funding and leadership. Churches host Bible Translation Sundays, literacy efforts, various Scripture engagement strategies, and other events and activities in order to expose church members to the mission of Bible Translation. 

교회들의 참여: 카메룬

카메룬 성경 번역 및 문해 협회는 성경 번역 운동에 참여하는 함께 교회들과 공동체들을 통해 하나님께서 카메룬에서 행하시는 일들을 인해 기쁨을 나누고 있습니다. 카메룬의 농촌과 도시 지역의 교단, 교회, 교회 지도자들이 성경 번역과 언어 공동체 개발에 많은 개발에 큰 기여를 하고 있다는 사실에 감사드립니다. 이들의 노력과 참여가 계속 늘어나고 있으며 기도로 지원하는 교회와 공동체들이 늘어나 기도 운동이 더욱 강화되고 있습니다. 점점 더 많은 교인들이 정서적인 지원과 재정 후원 및 리더들을 통한 협력을 통해 이 운동에 참여하고 있음을 인해 하나님을 찬양합니다. 교회들은 또한 교인들이 성경 번역 선교에 대해 경험할 수 있도록 성경 번역 주일, 문해 활동, 다양한 성경 활용 전략, 행사들과 선교 활동들을 주최하여 교인들이 성경 번역 선교에 동참하도록 협력하고 있습니다.

Seminaries key for the participation of the Church in Bible Translation: Brazil
One of the ways to engage the church in Brazil is through events held at seminaries. On May 12, Marcos Agripino, Executive Director of the Brazil Presbyterian Cross-Cultural Missions Agency (APMT), presented the theme: “The Mission of God and Bible Translation” at the Presbyterian Seminary in Belo Horizontes. Those present at the gathering included students, professors and the directorate at the seminary. The objective was to communicate the importance of Bible translation and to attract new missionaries to work in this area. APMT is an Alliance organization that believes that seminaries are key to seeing the church becoming engaged in Bible translation. Pray that the biblical and theological seminaries will be instruments of God to involve the church in Bible translation and that many will be led to serve in this area. 

교회의 성경 번역 참여를 위해 중요한 역할을 감당하는 신학교들: 브라질

브라질에서 교회와 협력하는 방법 중 하나는 신학교에서 열리는 행사들을 통해서입니다. 지난 5월, 벨로 호리본테스 장로교 신학교에서는 브라질 장로교 다문화 선교회의 마르코스 대표가 신학생들과 교수 및 이사진들이 함께 참석한 행사를 통해 “하나님의 선교와 성경 번역"이라는 주제로 발표했습니다. 이 행사의 목적은 성경 번역의 중요성을 알리고 사역에 함께할 후보 선교사들을 동원하기 위함이었습니다. 브라질 장로교 다문화 선교회는 신학교들이 교회들의 성경 번역 참여에 중요한 역할을 해야 한다고 믿는 국제 연대 단체입니다. 신학교들이 많은 교회들을 성경 번역에 참여시키는 하나님의 도구로 사용되고 많은 사람들이 이 선교 사역에 헌신하게 되도록 함께 기도해 주세요.

Pray for funding needed to send boats to support national Bible translation teams traveling in remote areas in a sensitive South American country.
