여러분들의 기도와 하나님의 은혜로, 요한복음과 요한 1, 2, 3서의 자문위원 점검을 잘 마칠 수 있었음에 감사를 드립니다. 촘촘한 일정 가운데 진행된 점검중에도 각자 맡은 역할에 최선을 다했고, 매일 점검후의 애찬과 친교 시간, 그리고 모든 필요를 공급해 주신 하나님을 인하여 찬송합니다. 카니누와 팀원들이 안전하고 건강하게 섬으로 귀가할 수 있도록 기도해 주시고, 마을이 홍수의 피해로 어려움을 겪지 않도록, 그리고 디도서, 야고보서, 빌레몬서, 유다서 초벌 번역을 잘 마무리 할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

With your prayers and God's grace, we are grateful to have completed the consultant checking of the Gospel of John and the books of John 1, 2, and 3. We praise God for each team member's hard work and dedication during the sessions, the fellowship time after each day, and the provision of every need. Please pray for Kaninuwa team members to return to Goodenough Island safe and healthy, for the village to not suffer from the effects of the flooding, and for the team to finish the draft translations of Titus, James, Philemon, and Jude.

2024 아프리카 성경 활용 컨퍼런스: 아프리카, 케냐

아프리카에서 온 많은 성경 활용 전문가들과 성경 번역 자문 위원들이 2월 22일부터 3월 1일까지 나이로비에서 모여 다양한 성경 활용 전략에 대한 훈련과 경험들을 공유할 수 있는 틀을 제공하고자 합니다. 에스아이엘과 아프리카 지역 위클리프 국제 연대의 지도자들이 공동으로 주최하고 미디어 및 토착 예술 전문 사역자들을 포함하여 아프리카의 약 24개 국제 연대 및 에스아이엘 단체들로부터 100명 이상의 사람들이 참석하여 아프리카 언어들로 성경 활용을 장려하기 위한 자료, 아이디어와 전략을 공유할 것입니다. 이 모든 단체들이 각각 자기네 고유 언어로 번역된 성경을 접하고 변화를 경험할 수 있도록 하기 위한 일에 열정이 커지고 있음을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다.

Africa Scripture Engagement Conference 2024: Africa, Kenya

Numerous African Scripture engagement specialists and consultants met from 22 February to 1 March in Nairobi. This conference will provide a framework for training and sharing experiences on the various Scripture engagement strategies. The conference is organized jointly by leaders from SIL and Wycliffe Global Alliance in Africa. Over 100 people from about 24 Alliance and SIL organizations in Africa will attend, including media and EthnoArts staff. They will share resources, ideas, and strategies for encouraging engagement with the Bible in the languages of Africa. Praise God for the growing interest of all these organizations in engaging communities with the translated Scriptures in their languages so they can experience transformation.

성경이 어떻게 기록되었는지에 관한 어린이 강좌: 멕시코

멕시코시티에 있는 마나 성경 박물관은 어린이들을 위해 성경이 어떻게 기록되었는지에 대한 무료 강좌를 개발하고 있습니다. 이 과정의 목표는 7~13세 어린이들에게 성경이 기록된 방식을 익히고 하나님께서 인류에게 보여 주신 사랑에 감사하도록 돕는 것으로 첫 번째 과정이 2월 3일에 열렸습니다. 많은 학부모들이 이 특별한 프로그램에 자녀들을 등록할 수 있도록, 또한 이 마나 박물관 강좌를 통해 어린이들이 하나님의 말씀을 이해하고 자신의 삶을 우리 주 예수 그리스도께 내어드릴 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Children’s course on how the Bible was written: Mexico

Maná Museum of the Bible in Mexico City is developing a free course for children on how the Bible was written. This course aims to familiarize children ages 7 to 13 with how the Scriptures were written and to help them appreciate the love God has shown mankind. The first module was held on 3 February. Pray that many parents will enroll their children in this unique course. Pray that this Maná Museum initiative will lead children to understand the Word of God and surrender their lives to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Please pray for our Global Operations team as they interact with political leaders and nongovernment organizations to open new fields within the dense rainforests of South America, Africa, and Melanesia. Strategically placed transportation hubs would supply vital personnel, equipment, and resources to begin mission work in currently unreached areas of the world. Pray, too, that God would raise many gospel patrons who will give generously out of their abundance to advance God’s kingdom.
