크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 나스카피 프로젝트
빌과 노르마 진 선교사 부부의 장거리 여행 중 은혜로 지켜주신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 여러분의 중보 기도가 놀랍도록 응답되었습니다. 빌 선교사는 카와와치까맠 원주민 마을에서 나스카피 언어 교실을 성공적으로 섬겼습니다. 13명의 참가자가 등록했으며, 읽기와 쓰기 능력뿐만 아니라 나스카피어 언어 패턴과 문법 이해에서도 진전을 이뤘습니다. 수업의 일환으로 학생들은 새로운 나스카피어 번역본인 사사기 서를 함께 통독하는 것에 동의했고, 번역팀의 실라스와 수잔이 함께 이 시간에 참여해 읽기를 도와주었습니다. 사사기, 룻기, 요나서의 최종 번역 단계와 에스더서의 자문위원 점검이 잘 이루어지도록 기도해 주세요. 9월 말에 알버타주 캘거리에서 모일 원주민 번역가 워크숍을 잘 준비하도록, 그리고 나스카피 공동체에 하나님의 말씀을 향한 열린 마음과 지속적인 갈망이 계속 이어지도록 기도해 주세요.
Cree initiative: Naskapi Project
Praise God for His travel mercy for both Bill and Norma Jean’s trips. Your prayers were answered in wonderful ways. Bill has successfully led the Naskapi course at Kawawachikamach. Thirteen participants were registered and advanced in their abilities in Naskapi reading and writing, as well as in understanding Naskapi language patterns and grammar.
As part of the class, the students agreed to do a complete read-through of the new Naskapi translation of the book of Judges. Members of the translation team, Silas and Susan, joined the class to help with the reading. Please pray for the final stages of the books of Judges, Ruth, and Jonah, as well as consultant-checking the book of Esther. Making the plans for the First Nations Translator Workshop in Calgary, Alberta, at the end of September. Open hearts and a continued hunger for the Word of God in Naskapi.
