라나어 문해사역 팀에 두 명의 인턴이 새롭게 합류했습니다. 사역에 대한 그들의 반응입니다.
쿡(Kook)의 이야기: “이 팀과 함께 일하기 시작하면서, 제 자신이 아이들과 함께 유익한 활동들을 다양하게 할 수 있다는 것을 알게 되었어요. 그림 그리기, 이야기 들려주기, 다양한 언어로 소통하기 같은 것들이요. 저는 학교와 란나 키즈 클럽에서 일주일에 두번 가르치고 있고, 교수 자료 개발 수업에도 참여하면서 배운 내용도 실습하고 있어요. 제가 공동체가 더 나아지는 일에 기여하며 유익을 끼칠 수 있어 정말 뿌듯해요. 이곳에서 일하면서 제 안에 어떤 열정이 생겼어요. 앞으로 선교 사역에 헌신하게 되기를 기대하고 있어요.”
타르(Tar)의 이야기: “이번이 처음으로 기독교 단체에서 일하게 된 기회였어요. 함께 일하는 형제자매들을 통해 사랑과 따뜻함을 느꼈고, 모두가 정말 친절했어요. 이 일은 정말 가치 있는 일이에요. 란나 관련 행사로 여러 학교를 방문하면서 학생들과 교사들을 만났고, 그 과정이 매우 흥미로웠어요. 란나어를 배우는 것도 재미있어요. 마치 읽고 쓰는 것을 새롭게 배우는 느낌이에요. 매일 아침, 일을 시작하기 전에 태국 북부 지역 언어로 된 성경을 함께 묵상하는 시간이 있는데, 그 시간이 참 귀하게 느껴져요. 성경을 이해하고 나누는 훈련도 하고 있어요.
처음으로 학생들에게 가르칠 기회를 얻었을 때, 아이들이 정말 열심히 배우려는 모습에 감동받았어요. 하나님의 이야기를 전할 때 그들은 정말 진지하게 귀 기울여 들었고,
하나님의 이야기는 너무나도 귀한 것이기 때문에, 더 많은 사람들에게 꼭 전해야 한다고 느꼈어요. 그들이 하나님의 이야기를 알 수 있다는 것이 최고라 생각합니다.

There are two new interns for the Northern Thai Lanna team! Let’s read a bit about them…
Kook shares: “Since I started working with this team I find myself capable of doing many activities that are useful with children - like drawing, telling stories and communicating with different languages... I teach twice per week in the school and at Lanna Kids Club. I also joined a teaching materials development class and am practicing what I’m learning… It feels very good that I can make progress and add value in the community… Working here has triggered something inside me... I look forward to serving in missions in the future.”
Tar shares: “I have the opportunity to work with a Christian organization for the first time. I feel the love and warmth through the brothers and sisters who work together. Everyone is so lovely. It is a very valuable job. I went to various schools for Lanna events and met students and teachers. I felt excited. As for learning the Lanna language, it is fun. It is like reviving reading and writing again. Every morning before starting work we have the opportunity to meditate on the Northern Thai Bible together. It is a very good thing. I practice understanding the Bible and sharing. The first time I had the opportunity to teach the students, I was impressed by their determination to study. While sharing the stories of God, they listened very attentively. I considered it the best thing because the stories of God are valuable things that we must announce to many people so that they will know the stories of God.”

- 쿡과 타르가 팀에 합류하게 되어 하나님께 감사드립니다. 기존 인턴 자자(Jaja)와 란나어 교사로 일하고 있는 전 인턴 빔(Beam), 그리고 프로젝트 감독 오이(Oi)가 함께 일하게 되었습니다. 팀원들이 서로 잘 협력하며 격려하는 모습에 감사드립니다.
- 팀은 매달 다양한 태국 교회들과 연락하고 행사들을 계획하는데 이를 위해 기도해 주셔서 감사합니다. 교회들이 이 사역에 큰 열정을 보여주고 있음에 감사드리고. 프로젝트나 팀원들 후원을 위해 교회들과 연락을 이어가는데 이를 위해 지속적으로 기도해 주세요.
- 감사하게도, 오이(Oi)와 팀이 빠야오(Payao)의 공립학교 교사들에게 란나어 읽기와 쓰기를 성공적으로 훈련시키고, 프라오(Prao) 지역 교사들이 학생들을 위한 새 자료를 만들 수 있도록 도울 수 있었습니다.
- 팀이 문해 교육 예술 워크숍(Arts in Literacy Workshop)’에 참여할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
- Thank you for praying for God to lead more Thai people to apply for the internship. Praise God that Kook and Tar have joined the team and now serve with fellow intern Jaja, Beam (a former intern who is now the Lanna teacher) and project supervisor Oi. Praise God the team is working very well together, helping and encouraging each other.
- Thank you for praying for the team as they make contact with and plan for monthly events at different Thai churches. Praise God the churches have been very enthusiastic. Continue to pray as the team follows up with them about supporting the project or specific team members.
- Praise God that Oi and the team successfully trained the Payao public school teachers to read and write Lanna and helped the Prao teachers learn to create new materials for their students.
- Pray for the goal of having the team participate in an Arts in Literacy workshop.
