첫걸음 선교이야기
이민자의 삶을 하나님의 선교로 이해하고 선교적인 삶을 살도록 돕는 프로그램인 '첫걸음 선교이야기'가 본한인교회에서 시작되었습니다 (4/138-5/16, 매 주 토요일).
- 이 프로그램을 통해 모두가 다 보내심 받은 자리에서 천국의 증인이 되는 삶을 살게 되도록 기도해 주세요.
- 섬기는 이규준/한진숙 선교사에게 지혜를 주시도록, 교회들과의 더 풍성한 동역이 이어지도록 함께 기도해 주세요.
- 다른 교회에서도 6월에 첫걸음선교이야기를 계획하고 있는데, 동일한 은혜가 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Mission 101
Mission 101 (lit. The “First Steps Mission Story”) program has begun at Vaughan Community Church, every Saturdays between Apr 18 and May 16. This program helps participants understand the life of an immigrant through the lens of God’s mission and live a missional life.
- Please pray that, through this program, every participant may live as witnesses of God's Kingdom in the places where they have been sent.
- Please join us in praying for Gyoojun & Jinsook who serve this program, and for a continued, fruitful partnership with other Korean Diaspora churches.
- Another church is also planning to launch Mission 101 in June; please pray that they may experience the same grace.

5월 비전 여행 / 7월 기금 모금 자전거 일주
지난 3월말 위클리프 캘거리 본부에서 "모두가 다 말씀을 듣기까지" 라는 성경번역 홍보 및 두 가지 사역에 대한 동참을 권하는 행사가 있었습니다. 하나는 오는 5월 초에 출발하는 카메룬 성경번역 비전여행 팀을 위한 기도와 기금 모금을 위한 것이었고, 다른 하나는 7월에 열릴 성경번역 선교를 위한 모금 자전거 일주 행사 '모두를 위한 성경'을 위한 기도와 모금 행사였습니다.
• 비전여행과 자전거일주 참가자들과 친지들과 위클리프 스탭들 등 많은 이들이 모여 성경번역 선교와 말씀을 통한 변혁의 역사를 나누며, 하나님께 영광을 돌리는 시간이 되었음에 감사드립니다!
• 카메룬으로 향하는 비전여행 팀이 한 달 채 남지 않은 기간 동안 필요한 재원이 다 채워지고 준비가 잘 이뤄지도록 기도해 주시고
• 자전거 일주 행사에 더 많은 참여자들과 숙소와 편의제공해줄 교회와 개인들이 많이 협력하게 되도록 기도해 주세요

Vision Trip in May / Bike Ride Fundraising
Last end of March, an event titled “Until Everyone Hears the Word” was held at the Calgary head office to promote Bible translation and encourage participation in two specific ministries. One was a prayer and fundraising event for the “Transformation: Cameroon” Bible translation vision trip team, which will depart in early May, and the other was a prayer and fundraising event for “Bible for All,” a fundraising bike tour for Bible translation missions to be held in July.
• We are thankful that many people gathered—including participants in the vision trip and bike tour, their relatives and friends, and Wycliffe staff—to share the Bible translation movement and the transformation brought by the translated Word, and to give glory to God!
• Please pray that the Vision Trip team heading to Cameroon will have all necessary funds raised and preparations completed within the next 1 month.
• and that many more participants will join the cycling tour, and that churches and individuals will cooperate to provide lodging and support.

실크 로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역 (수신자 이외에 배포하거나 온라인에 게시하지 말아주세요)
북부 와미* 프로젝트
여성들은 재봉 기술을 익히는 것 외에도, 성경 이야기 나눔 시간을 통해 자신이 소중하고 하나님께 사랑받는 존재임을 깨닫게 되었다고 간증합니다. 이러한 영적 배움과 실용적인 훈련이 결합되어, 그녀들은 더욱 자신감을 갖게 되었고 희망을 품게 되었습니다. 한 여성은 수년간의 경제적 어려움 끝에 이 재봉 프로젝트에 참여했는데, 센터에서 재봉 기술을 배우면서, 그녀는 수입을 얻어 가족을 경제적으로 부양할 수 있다는 새로운 희망을 얻었고, 재봉 센터는 그녀의 자신감을 되찾아 주었을 뿐만아니라고, 삶에 새로운 목적 의식을 심어주었습니다. 두 개의 새로운 여성 그룹이 훈련을 시작했습니다. 이들은 자기네 모어인 북부 와미 알파벳을 읽을 수 있게 되었고, 20까지의 숫자도 익혔으며, 기본적인 건강과 위생에 대해 배웠습니다. 새로 구성된 그룹들은 지역 전통 의상과 지역 사회에서 널리 입는 정장을 만들기 위한 다양한 바느질 및 원단 재단 기술도 익혔습니다. 예수님의 탄생 이야기를 담은 이야기 성경도 만들었습니다.
이러한 전인적 발전과 사람들의 삶이 변화하고 영적으로 성장하는 데 도움이 되는 물질적인 풍성함을 위해서도 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
Northern Warmi* Project
Women said that, in addition to gaining sewing skills, the Bible storytelling sessions encourage them to see themselves as valuable and loved by God. This spiritual learning, combined with practical training, has helped them become more confident and hopeful. One woman joined the sewing project after years of financial struggle, feeling hopeful. By learning sewing skills at the Centre, she gained new hope that she could earn an income and financially support her family. The sewing Centre has restored her confidence and given her a renewed sense of purpose. Two new groups of women started training. So far, they can read the Northern Warmi alphabet, have learned numbers up to 20, and have learned about basic health and hygiene. The new groups have also learned various stitching and cloth-cutting techniques for local dress and suits worn by the wider community. Stories of Jesus’ birth have also been crafted.
Please pray for these holistic developments and for practical prosperity that may help people's lives change, even spiritually grow.

Expertise in Action: UK, Ireland, Global
Wycliffe UK and Ireland are mobilizing professionals to help with Bible translation.
Praise: Praise God for the development of the Specialist Bench within Wycliffe UK and Ireland—an initiative that connects skilled professionals with strategic ministry needs. Give thanks for the ‘tapestry of skills’ already represented and for volunteers willing to deploy their expertise to strengthen global partner organizations
Prayer: Pray for the Lord to bring the right specialists onto the ‘bench’ at exactly the right time—particularly those with expertise in Strategic Leadership, Project Management, Finance, IT and HR. Ask for wisdom, humility and clarity for these professionals as they begin their assignments. Pray that strong, trusting relationships form between the specialists and the partners they serve, ensuring that this collaborative service effectively supports Bible translation projects worldwide

Jewelspeak* project: Southeast Asia, Norway
Wycliffe Norway requests prayer for a sensitive project, in the Southeast Asia area, in which they partner:
- Pray that the project support for this project will be approved for the next three years
- Give thanks for the recent days when the project leaders, Ruth and Jacob, met with members of the Jewelspeak community to finalize a written system for the language, making it possible to write Jewelspeak for the first time
- Pray for the work ahead as Ruth and Jacob continue to learn the language, analyze the sounds of Jewelspeak, and prepare a report on its sound system for translation

Continue to pray for strength and peace for the Kwadima II crew and office staff as they served more than 10 translation teams in Micronesia while navigating health and family challenges
Please pray for our development staff as they faithfully engage with current and prospective JAARS donors to support JAARS operations, both ongoing and planned
Pray for two staff members planning an early-May trip to Ticuna, Peru. Ask for wisdom as they assess training needs and determine the best way to support the work there
