캐나다와 한국 제 8기 영어 튜터링 프로그램
8월 27부터 10 주 동안 한국성경번역선교회(GBT, 위클리프한국) 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 제 8기 영어 튜터링 프로그램이 시작됩니다. 섬겨주시는 전, 현직 위클리프 캐나다 사역자들과 자원 봉사자들에게 감사드립니다.
양국의 코디네이터 팀으로 섬기는 김뵈뵈/이규준/윤기태/폴 마즈너 선교사에게 잘 섬길 수 있는 헌신의 마음과 지혜주시고,
열정적으로 참가하는 지비티(GBT) 사역자들이 이 프로그램의 영어 능력 향상을 통해 다문화 팀과 국제적 사역 상황에서 더욱 의미있게 잘 기여하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

GBT-WBTC, the 8th English tutoring program
Starting August 27, we will begin our eighth English tutoring program for Global Bible Translators (GBT: Wycliffe Korea), which will run for ten weeks. We thank God for the English tutors, including current and former Wycliffe Canada members, and the volunteers serving in this effort.
Please pray for God's wisdom for the coordination team—Phoebe Kim, Gyoojun Lee, Daniel Yoon, and Paul Meisner.
Also, pray for the participating GBT workers to improve their English skills so they can contribute more meaningfully in cross-cultural teams and international partnerships.

하반기 사역 안내 및 기도
한인사무국에서는 이번 9월부터 다음과 같은 사역들을 계획하고 참가자들과 교회를 초대하고 있습니다.
캐나다 원주민 성경번역 사역자들을 위한 웍샵이 캘거리에서 9/22~26일에 열리는데, 목요일 점심부터 오후 시간에 세션을 공개하고, 협력 교회와 성도님들의 동참을 기대합니다.
10/3~11/27일 매 주 목요일과, 10/7~11/25일 매 주 화요일에 우리는교회와 영락교회에서 각각 카이로스 코스가 열립니다. 토론토지역 모든 성도들께 열려 있습니다. 많은 분들이 참가하여 선교적 삶의 여정을 시작하도록 기도해 주세요.
10/28~11/1일에 성경번역 기술지원 센터인 잘스센터에서 선교훈련을 엽니다. 많은 분들이 동참하여 성경번역 선교의 요긴한 사역들과 인생 후반전 사역 및 팀 사역에 대해 잘 훈련받도록 기도해 주세요.

Events planned in the Fall season
The Korean Diaspora Engagement team is planning the following ministries, starting this September, and invites believers and churches to join.
The First Nations Mother Tongue Translators Workshop will be held in Calgary from September 22 to 26, and partners are invited to attend the opening sessions from lunchtime on Thursday, September 25. Please pray that many partners and churches from the AB area will join us.
Two Kairos courses in the GTA will be held, every Tuesday from October 7 to November 25 and every Thursday from October 3 to November 27, at Young Nak Presbyterian Church and We Are Church, respectively. These courses are open to all believers in the Toronto area. Please pray that many will participate and begin their missional life journey.
JAARS Vision Trip: From Oct. 28 to Nov. 1, a mission training and vision trip to JAARS, a Bible translation technical support center, will be held there. Please pray that many will participate and be well-trained about the essential ministries of Bible translation, finishing well with the second half of their life, fulfilling God's purposes for them.

북부 태국어(라나) 문해 및 성경 활용: 동남아시아
사역팀이 다양한 학교에서 문해 교육을 진행한 결과 어린이들 사이에서 큰 열정이 생겼다는 것을 발견했습니다! 그들은 이제 자신의 모어로 읽고 쓸 수 있게 되어 기쁘게 생각합니다. 교사들도 가르치고 배우는 데 열의를 보이고 있습니다. 어린이들이 두세 번의 수업을 참석하면 더 편안해지고 호기심을 보이기 시작하는 것으로 나타났습니다.
최근 몇 달간 북부 태국어(라나) 성경이 사용된 라나 행사에 200명 이상의 학생들이 참가했습니다. 라나 행사에서 요한복음 책을 자발적으로 받아간 학생이 100명을 훨씬 넘은것을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다
사역팀원들이 영어 구사 능력을 강화할 수 있도록 더 많은 영어 사용자들이 함께해 주시도록 기도해 주세요

Northern Thai (Lanna) Literacy and Scripture Use: Southeast Asia
The Lanna team has noticed that teaching Lanna literacy in different schools has created excitement among the children! They are happy because they can now read and write in their native script. Teachers are also eager to teach and learn. It appears that after children attend two to three classes, they become more comfortable and curious.
Praise God that in recent months, over 200 students participated in Lanna events where the Northern Thai Bible is used. Well over 100 students have voluntarily taken copies of the book of John at Lanna events.
Pray for more English speakers to come alongside the team members to help them strengthen their English skills.

항공 사역자 및 이사회 훈련: 인도네시아
야자시(잘스 항공사역 현지단체)의 다음과 같은 사역들을 위해 기도해 주세요:
- 사역 운영을 위한 인사 능력 개발 및 강화 차원에서 4 명의 항공정비 기술자에 대한 내부 훈련 위해
- 또한 8 월에 예정된 야자시 이사회 훈련에 참여하는 지도부 스탭들을 위해
- 항공기 수입을 위해 인도네시아 정부 사회사업부서로부터 추천서를 잘 받을 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Training for aviation staff and the board: Indonesia
Please pray for Yajasi (Aviation ministry of JAARS in Indonesia) for the following ministries:
- The internal training of four mechanics to develop and strengthen human resources in Yajasi operations
- The scheduled Yajasi board training in August will include participation from senior staff
- A letter of recommendation from the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs is needed for aircraft import purposes.

성경으로 소통하는 새로운 방법 배우기: 체코공화국
Simply the Story는 성경 이야기를 정확하고 상호작용적으로 전달하고, 하나님과 그분의 말씀에 대한 대화에 타인을 참여시키기 위해 탐구적인 질문을 던지는 방법입니다. 이는 자연스럽고 대화식으로 진행되는 성경 공부입니다. 위클리프 체코공화국은 이전에 프라하에서 Simply the Story 교육을 진행했으며, 7월에 또 다른 교육을 개최했습니다.
이바나 시모바 강사와 모든 참가자들을 인하여 하나님께 감사드립니다. 일부 참가자는 기본 교육을 완료했으며, 다른 이들은 이 방법을 타인에게 가르치기 위해 강사로 훈련을 받았습니다. 한 이전 참가자는 “교육 후, 믿지 않는 친구들이 제가 무엇을 배웠는지 물었습니다”라고 말했습니다. “저는 그들에게 이야기를 들려주었고, 결국 두 시간 동안 성경에 대해 대화하게 되었습니다!”
하나님께서 이 새로운 방법을 통해 성경의 대화식 제시 방식에 더 쉽게 반응하는 사람들에게 복음을 전하는 것을 찬양합니다.
각 참가자가 친구, 가족, 동료, 심지어 낯선 사람들과 하나님의 말씀을 나누기 위해 이 상호작용적인 접근 방식을 사용하기 위해 지혜와 안내를 위해 기도해 주세요.

Learning a new way to engage others with Scripture: Czech Republic
Simply the Story is a method for learning Bible stories, telling them accurately and interactively, and then asking probing questions to involve others in conversations about God and His Word. It is Bible study done naturally and conversationally. Wycliffe Czech Republic has previously hosted Simply the Story trainings in Prague and held another one in July.
Thank God for Ivana Šímová, who teaches the course, and for all the participants. Some completed the basic training, and others were trained as instructors to teach this method to others. ‘After the course, my non-believing friends asked me what I had learned,’ said one previous participant. ‘I told them a story and we ended up spending two hours discussing the Bible!’
Praise God for how He is using this oral method to reach people who respond more readily to conversational presentations of Scripture.
Pray for wisdom and guidance as each participant seeks to use this highly interactive approach to engage friends, family, co-workers, and even strangers with God’s Word.

아프리카, 남미, 태평양 일부 지역에서는 배를 타고 외딴 마을로 가는 것이 가장 좋은 방법이며 때로는 유일한 방법이기도 합니다. 하지만 안전 장비를 잘 갖추지 못한 낡은 배에 사람들이 많이 타게 되고, 혹 문제가 발생하여도 도움을 받을 수 없는 험난한 물 위에서의 운항 길이 될 수 있습니다. 잘스는 해안 지역 소수민족 공동체들을 위하여 장비, 배송 및 수리를 포함한 특수 선박, 해양 프로그램을 위한 물류 및 재정지원, 안전 장비, 신호장치, 비상 인공위성 항해표지 설치 및 수상 안전 교육 등 다양한 사역으로 섬기고 있습니다.

Sea Operations
In parts of Africa, South America, and the Pacific, boats are often the best—or sometimes the only—means of reaching remote areas. However, the journey can be harrowing: boarding rundown ships that frequently lack safety equipment and navigating rough waters far from any hope of help if something goes wrong. JAARS provides coastal communities with specialized vessels, including outfitting, delivery, and repair, along with logistical and financial support for boat programs, safety equipment, signaling devices, emergency satellite beacons, and water safety training.
Please pray that JAARS’s sea operation team may serve as the best support teamwork.
