L and C 선교사 부부가 수년만에 귀국하여 여러 가지 정부 관계 갱신할 일들 잘 마칠 수 있음에 감사합니다. 모국이라도 새로 적응하고 조정해야 하는 일들을 위하여 이모 저모로 도와주신 분들이 계셔서 큰 힘이 됩니다. 3월부터 온라인으로 진행되는 선교 훈련 세미나에 참여 중인데 배우고 도전받아 앞으로의 든든한 믿음과 사역의 발판이 되도록 기도해 주세요

L and C: Bible translation in a sensitive area of Asia / home assignment

We are thankful that L and C have returned home after many years and can complete various governmental renewals. It's very helpful to have brothers and sisters who help L and C adjust to various things, even in their home country. L is participating in an online missions training seminar starting in March; please pray that he will learn, be challenged, and have a solid faith and ministry foundation going forward..

열린문장로교회(버지니아주, 헌던) 청소년팀이 잘스 센터에서 3월 24-26일, 2박 3일 동안 지내면서 성경번역 선교를 위한 다양한 종류의 사역, 삶과 직업, 기술로 섬기는 일들에 대해 배우게 됩니다. 하나님이 주시는 삶과 선교의 비전을 잘 갖도록, 인도하는 이규준 / 한진숙 선교사 부부의 안전한 여행과 열매 맺는 사역을 위해 기도해 주세요.

JAARS Missions Vision Trip

Open Door Presbyterian Church (Herndon, Virginia) youth group will spend two days and three nights, Mar 24-26, at the JAARS Center to learn about different types of ministry and life and vocational skills for Bible translation ministries. Pray for the safe travels and fruitful ministry of Gyoojun and Jinsook, as they will be led to have a God-given vision for their life and mission with God.

Loving Muslims Together 단체에서 만든 30일간 무슬림을 위한 기도 제목(시리즈)을 공유합니다. 라마다 기간 중에 주변의 무슬림 이웃들과의 사랑과 복음 나눔을 위해, 현재 중앙아시아, 아프리카, 동남아시아 등 세계 여러 지역에서 무슬림 권 언어 민족들을 위한 성경 번역 프로젝트를 위해 특별히 기도하는 기간이 되시길 바랍니다.

30 Days of Prayer for Muslims in Canada

We thankfully share the prayer request items developed by Loving Muslims Together for Muslims in Canada during Ramadan. We hope you will join the prayer movement for Muslims, praying for Bible translation projects carried out for language groups with Islamic beliefs worldwide, especially in some parts of Africa, Middle Asia, South East Asia, and the Muslim diaspora scattered around the world.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 나스카피

"노던 윈드(북풍)"라고 불리는 나스카피 라디오 방송국은 지난 20년 동안 나스카피 부족어 성경 낭독 프로그램을 방송해 왔습니다. 2004년에 창세기 낭독으로 시작하여 2008년에는 신약성경 전체가 송출되었고 작년에는 출애굽기 라디오 프로그램이 송출되었습니다. 이제 시편이 완성되어 30분 분량으로 15개의 에피소드로 편성되어 있습니다! 나스카피 성경 읽기 에피소드는 방송 외에도 휴대폰, 태블릿, 컴퓨터에서 팟캐스트로도 들을 수 있습니다. 빌 선교사 (크리 성경 번역 프로젝트 책임 사역자)는 "시편이 신약성경, 창세기, 출애굽기와 함께 접근 가능한 성경으로 합류하게 된 것은 여러분의 기도에 대한 응답이라고 확신하면서 계속 기도해 주심에 감사합니다."라고 간증합니다. 사사기, 열왕기상 초안, 나스카피 사전의 개정판 등 현재 진행 중인 나스카피 성경 번역 사역들을 위해, 지속적인 역량 강화, 커리큘럼 개발, 나스카피 문해 및 교사 훈련을 위해 기도해 주세요.

Cree initiative: Naskapi

For 20 years, the “Northern Wind” Naskapi language radio station broadcasted a Naskapi Bible reading program. It began with readings from Genesis in 2004, and included the entire New Testament by 2008. Last year, the Exodus radio programs were released. Now Psalms is finished and includes fifteen 30-minute episodes! Besides being played on-air, the Naskapi Bible reading episodes are available as podcasts on phones, tablets, and computers. Bill says, “Thank you for praying for us, as we note this answer to your prayers, with the book of Psalms joining the accessible, along with the New Testament, Genesis, and Exodus.” Please continue to pray for us and the ongoing Naskapi work: consultant-checking the Book of Judges, the First Draft of the Book of 1 Kings, and a second-edition revision of the Naskapi Dictionary. Pray for ongoing capacity-building, curriculum development, and Naskapi literacy and teacher training.

오늘날 미주와 서구의 여러 지역에서 성경 지식이 쇠퇴하고 있다는 사실은 더이상 비밀이 아닙니다. 멕시코시티에 있는 국제 연대 단체인 마나 성경 박물관은 성경과 그 기원에 대한 지식을 장려하고, 성경을 읽고 번역하려는 열망을 키우고자 합니다. 마나 박물관의 리더들은 사람들이 성경과 역사, 신학을 탐구하도록 영감을 주고자 열정을 쏟고 있는데 강좌나 컨퍼런스, 전시 및 정보 도서관을 통해 학문적 탐구와 개인적인 발견의 허브이자 유물과 문헌의 보물 창고입니다. 박물관 사역팀은 국제 연대의 교육 참여 스트림의 일환으로, 다른 훈련 기관들의 역량을 강화하기 위해 '하나님의 형상과 언어'라는 과정에 협력하고 있습니다. 또한 박물관은 다양한 행사를 위해 국제 연대와 동역 기관들에게 자료를 제공합니다. 이 마나 박물관의 사역을 위해, 그리고 하나님의 영광을 위해 성경을 탐구하고 다양한 방법으로 자료를 제공할 수 있도록 많은 협력 단체들이 함께 동참하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

Telling the Bible's Story

Today, in many parts of the Americas and the Western world, it’s no secret that biblical knowledge is waning. Maná Museum of the Bible, an Alliance organization in Mexico City, wants to encourage knowledge of the Bible and its origins and nurture a desire to read and translate it. The Maná Museum’s leaders are passionate about inspiring people to explore the Bible, its history, and theology. Through classes, conferences, exhibits, and a resource library, Maná Museum is a hub for academic exploration, personal discovery and a treasure trove of artifacts and texts. As part of their involvement in the Alliance training participation stream, Maná Museum staff collaborate with the course' The Image of God and Languages’ to strengthen other training centers. The museum also provides material to Alliance and partner organizations for various events. Please pray for the ministry of the Maná Museum and the participation of many partner organizations in exploring the Bible stories and providing materials in many ways for His glory.

JAARS Prayerline

Skill, knowledge, experience: These are key elements that can make all the difference when approaching missions in a challenging new setting. Especially when your role is to solve critical logistical problems for workers who are already there. For those preparing for work in Bible translation, JAARS provides the focused, specialized training that is vital in many different areas. Please pray that God will mightily use our instructors to provide effective, useful training for those preparing for missions work.
