L and C 선교사: 성경번역, 아시아 보안지역 / 본국 사역(안식년) / 동역관계 개발

L and C 선교사가 지난 3개월간 참여하였던 온라인 선교 세미나를 잘 마쳤고 이번 기회를 통해서 이미 받은 소명을 재 점검하며 다짐하는 귀한 은혜에 감사드립니다. 4월에는 캘거리 지역을 방문하여 위클리프 한인기도팀 팀원들과의 감동적인 만남들이 있었고 큰 격려가 되었습니다. 캘거리의 한 교회가 협력교회로 선교후원을 하기로 약정해 주심에 특별한 감사를 드립니다. 기도로 연결된 귀한 만남들을 통하여 계속적으로 사역에 큰 힘이 되기를 소원합니다. C선교사의 캐나다 영주권 갱신 절차가 진행중인데, 하나님의 은혜로 순조롭게 승인되도록 기도해 주세요.

L and C: Bible translation in a sensitive area of Asia / home assignment / Partnership Development

We are grateful that L and C have completed the online mission seminar they have been participating in for the past three months and that they have used this opportunity to review and reaffirm the call they have already received. In April, L and C traveled to the Calgary area and had some inspiring and encouraging meetings with Wycliffe Korean Prayer Team members. A special thanks to a church in Calgary for committing to financial support as a partner church. Continue to pray that these prayerfully connected encounters will strengthen L and C’s ministry. Please pray that C's Canadian permanent residency renewal process will be approved smoothly by God's grace.

지난 4월부터 밀알교회에서 개최된 광역 토론토 지역 카이로스 코스가 성공적으로 잘 마쳐지고 12명 이상의 수료자들이 지난 주간에 열린 조력자 훈련에 잘 참가하였고, 지속적으로 밀알교회의 훈련 프로그램으로 채택되었음에 감사드립니다! 무엇보다 기도와 재정과 섬김으로 하나님의 선교에 더 동참하며 선교적 삶을 살기로 다짐한 모든 참가자들에게 성령께서 계속 충만하게 역사하셔서 열방을 축복하는 복된 삶을 누리도록 기도해 주세요. 이 선교사는 6월 1일부터 8일까지, 토론토참소망교회 단기 사역 팀과 함께 도미니카의 아이티 난민을 섬기는 사역을 은혜롭게 잘 마쳤습니다. 함께 기도로 중보해 주심에 진심으로 감사드립니다.

Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada

We are thankful that the Toronto area Kairos course held at Milal Church since the beginning of April has been a great success, with over a dozen people participating in last week's facilitator training, and that it has been adopted as an ongoing training program at Milal Church! Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to work in the fullness of all the participants who have committed to live missional lives by becoming more involved in God's mission through prayer, finances, and service. They will be truly blessed through blessing the nations. From June 1 through 8, Gyoojun served with the Toronto True Hope Church short-term team of Haitian refugees in the Dominican Republic. Thank you for your prayer support for the team and the amazing things God has done.

Kingdom Friendship 킹덤 프렌드십

실크 로드 프로젝트: 성경번역, 보안지역 (수신자 이외에 배포하거나 온라인에 게시하지 말아주세요) 실크로드 프로젝트의 기도 요청은 보안 지역에서의 척박한 땅을 일구는 사역들을 중보하는 기도입니다. 사역팀이 지속 가능한 문해 사역과 교육 개발로 섬기며 매우 실질적인 방법으로 공동체를 사랑하는데, 이로써 이 지역 공동체 사람들의 삶이 변화되고, 결국에는 주께 영광 돌리게 되리라 믿습니다.

K 프로젝트: 이주자들
K어의 문자화에 대한 좋은 소식이 퍼지고 있습니다. K어는 여전히 해당 언어권 내 사용자들 사이에서 활발하게 사용되고 있습니다. 지난 봄, 프로젝트 리더들은 세 곳의 K 이주민 커뮤니티에서 대화형 세션들을 진행했고, 커뮤니티의 반응이 좋았습니다. 참가자들에게 배포된 자료에는 K어 알파벳 책, 어린이를 위한 블룸북 스토리, 유네스코 다국어 교육 책자의 K어 번역본들이 포함되어 있었습니다. 행사는 이 작업에 기여한 모든 분들과 보이지 않는 곳에서 수고하는 분들을 위해 합심으로 중보 기도하는 것으로 마무리되었습니다. 드디어 번역 작업이 착수되었습니다. 현재 잠언 몇 개와 성경 비유중 6개의 초벌 번역을 마쳤습니다. 이 언어 사역이 진척중인 놀라운 이정표를 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 좋은 소문이 퍼져나가고 있으며, 사람들은 자기네 언어로 글로 읽을 수 있다는 사실에 자랑스러워하며 흥분하고 있습니다. K사람들이 자기네 모어의 문해력이 널리 퍼지는 것이 자민족의 미래에 어떤 의미가 있을지 상상하기 시작하면서 이 프로젝트에 추진력이 생기고 있음을 인하여 하나님을 찬송합니다.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online) The following prayer requests are for the soil tilling efforts in this sensitive area. By serving the community in sustainable literacy and education development, the team is loving the community efficiently. This paves the way for sustainable Bible translation work, which we believe the Lord will use to transform lives for His glory.

K Project: K Migrants
Good news is spreading about the written form of the K language, although the language remains vibrant among speakers within the language area. Last spring, the project leaders led interactive sessions in three K migrant communities, and there has been a good response from the communities. Materials distributed among the participants included the K alphabet book, Bloom book stories for kids, and the K translation of the UNESCO Multilingual Education (MLE) booklet. The event ended with a collective prayer for those who contributed to this work and those behind the scenes. Translation work has finally begun—several select proverbs and six parables have now been drafted. Praise God for this milestone in the language. God’s Words are spreading, and people are proud and excited to see their language in writing. Praise God momentum is building as people begin to envision what widespread literacy in their mother tongue might mean for their people’s future.

관대함과 재정 관리에 관한 계획: 인도네시아

인도네시아의 두 국제 연대 단체가 최근 관대함과 재정 관리에 관련된 계획들을 세우게 하신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 미나하사 복음주의 교회에서 3월 17일과 24일 ‘관대함의 여정’ 이라는 수련회를 갖고 이 계획을 통해 참가자들이 성경 번역 사역을 이해하도록 격려하고 동참하고자 하는 소망을 품게 하심에 주님을 찬양합니다. 다른 많은 사람들과 이 계획을 함께 공유할 수 있는 보다 많은 기회를 열어 주시도록 계속 기도해 주세요. 또한 지난해 파푸아 전도 및 제자 훈련 사역부가 재정적 책무에 관한 부분을 개선하기 위한 계획을 세울 수 있도록 인도하심에 감사드립니다. 관련 훈련과 전문 지식을 갖춘 재정담당 인력이 계속해서 필요합니다. 재정 부서에서 섬길 헌신자들을 보내 주시도록 함께 기도해 주세요.

Initiatives in generosity and financial management: Indonesia

Two Alliance organizations in Indonesia praise God for recent initiatives related to generosity and financial management. Gereja Masehi Injili di Minahasa (GMIM) held a Journey of Generosity retreat on 17 and 24 March. Praise the Lord for this initiative to encourage participants to understand Bible translation ministry and cause them to desire to take part in it. Continue to pray that God will open more opportunities to share this with many others. Also, Evangelism and Discipleship Ministries of Papua (YMP3) is grateful for God’s guidance last year for initiatives to improve their financial accountability. They continue to need finance personnel with relevant training and expertise. Ask the Lord of the harvest to provide the people they need to serve in their finance department.

JAARS Prayerline

In parts of Africa, South America, and the Pacific, boats are the best—or sometimes the only way—to reach a remote village. But the trip can be harrowing: crowding onto rundown ships, often with no safety equipment, and plying rough waters far from any hope of help if something goes wrong. JAARS provides coastal communities with specialized vessels, including outfitting, delivery, and repair, as well as logistical and financial support for boat programs, safety equipment, signaling devices, emergency satellite beacons, and water safety training. Please pray that JAARS’s sea operation team may serve as the best support teamwork.
