동부 라와 성경번역 프로젝트에서의 최근 문해 사역으로 인해 하나님께 감사드립니다.
고이(Goy)가 응용언어학재단에서 출간한 소책자 번역을 마쳤습니다. 또한 문해 수업을 위한 유튜브 영상 녹화를 마쳤습니다. 현재, 라와어 원어민 팻(Pat)의 기술적인 도움을 받으며 편집 작업이 진행중입니다. 9월 말까지 모든 강의 영상이 완성되어 유튜브에 업로드될 수 있도록 기도해주세요. 라와어 철자법 책의 맞춤법 점검이 잘 마무리될 수 있도록 계속 기도해주세요.
프로젝트 코디네이터 그렉(Greg)과 아내 로지(Rosie)가 지난 7월 30일에 뉴질랜드로 장기 귀국했습니다. 기도해주셔서 감사합니다. 현재, 팀은 그렉이 없이 사역을 지속할 수 있는지 1 년 간의 점검 기간을 갖고 있습니다. 번역 프로젝트의 향후 방향을 위한 지혜를 더하시도록 위해서 기도해주세요.
Praise God for these recent literacy highlights from the Eastern Lawa translation project:
- Goy finished translating the small books from Foundation for Applied Linguistics.
- The YouTube videos for the literacy lessons are recorded. They are being produced with the help of Pat, a Lawa native speaker who is good with technology. Pray that the lessons will all be finished and uploaded to YouTube by the end of September.
Pray for the goal of completing the spelling check for the Lawa orthography books.
Thank you for praying for Greg (project facilitator) and his wife, Rosie, as they navigate their long-term return to New Zealand. Praise God they were able to sell their house and vehicles in Lawa, and travel safely back home on July 30.
Thank you for praying for wisdom for the future of the translation project. Continue to pray as the team is now doing a one-year trial to see if they can continue to work without Greg being there in person to supervise.
