알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
중환중이셨던 알버트 선교사의 부친이 7월 초순에 하나님의 부르심을 받았습니다. 장례식은 8월에 홍콩에서 있을 예정입니다. 모든 장례 절차가 순조롭도록, 그리고 유가족에게 하나님의 위로하심이 있도록 기도해 주세요. 알버트 선교사는 계속하여 AI 를 활용하여 시라야 언어 민족의 신약을 번역 중인데 금년 후반기에 있을 자문위원 점검이 잘 준비되도록 기도해 주시고, 아울러 위클리프 대만은 재미 화교 단체와 협력하여 중동 지역 난민 사역을 추진하고 있는데, 필요한 사역자들이 잘 세워지도록 기도해 주세요. 현재 펑 선교사 가족은 캐나다에서 모이는 사역팀 회의에 함께 참여 중입니다. 유익한 모임과 만남이 되도록 기도해 주세요. 오늘 주일 (7/13)에는 위클리프 캐나다 한인 사역자들과 함께 사역팀회의가 진행 중인 지역에 위클리프 캐나다 협력 교회를 방문하여 예배드리고, 지역의 위클리프 기도팀과 함께 교제할 예정입니다. 한 7월 말까지 캐나다에 지내며 동역자들과 귀한 교제가 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager of a sensitive area, respectively
Albert’s father, who was seriously ill, passed away in early July. The funeral service will be held in Hong Kong in August. Please pray for the smooth process of the funeral and God's comfort for the grieving family. Albert continues to use AI to translate the New Testament for the Siraya language. Please pray that the consultant checking scheduled for later this year will be well-prepared. Additionally, Wycliffe Taiwan is working with a Chinese-American missions organization to expand refugee ministry in the Middle East. Please pray that the necessary workers will be well-equipped for this effort. The Fungs are attending her entity's annual conference in Canada with her family. Today, Sunday, July 13, they will visit together with other Wycliffe Canada members, one of the partner churches in the area the conference is being held, to have worship service there and have fellowship with the Wycliffe prayer team after the service. Please pray that the gathering will be fruitful and filled with meaningful fellowship. Pray also for their time in Canada having fellowship with their partners by the end of July.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 나스카피 프로젝트
빌과 노르마 진 선교사 부부의 장거리 여행 중 은혜로 지켜주신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 여러분의 중보 기도가 놀랍도록 응답되었습니다. 빌 선교사는 카와와치까맠 원주민 마을에서 나스카피 언어 교실을 성공적으로 섬겼습니다. 13명의 참가자가 등록했으며, 읽기와 쓰기 능력뿐만 아니라 나스카피어 언어 패턴과 문법 이해에서도 진전을 이뤘습니다. 수업의 일환으로 학생들은 새로운 나스카피어 번역본인 사사기 서를 함께 통독하는 것에 동의했고, 번역팀의 실라와 수잔이 함께 이 시간에 참여해 읽기를 도와주었습니다. 사사기, 룻기, 요나서의 최종 번역 단계와 에스더서의 자문위원 점검이 잘 이루어지도록 기도해 주세요. 빌과 노마 진 선교사가 9월 말에 알버타주 캘거리에서 모일 원주민 번역사역자 워크숍을 잘 준비하도록, 그리고 나스카피 공동체에 하나님의 말씀을 향한 열린 마음과 지속적인 갈망이 계속 이어지도록 기도해 주세요.

Cree initiative: Naskapi Project
Praise God for His travel mercy for both Bill and Norma Jean’s trips. Your prayers were answered in wonderful ways. Bill has successfully led the Naskapi course at Kawawachikamach. Thirteen participants were registered and advanced in their abilities in Naskapi reading and writing, as well as in understanding Naskapi language patterns and grammar. As part of the class, the students agreed to do a complete read-through of the new Naskapi translation of the book of Judges. Members of the translation team, Silas and Susan, joined the class to help with the reading. Please pray for the final stages of the books of Judges, Ruth, and Jonah, as well as consultant-checking the book of Esther. Pray also for Bill and Norma Jean as they prepare the First Nations Translator Workshop in Calgary, Alberta, at the end of September. We also pray for open hearts and a continued hunger for the Word of God in the Naskapi community.

성경을 읽을 수 있도록 시력 치료를 지원: 나이지리아
나이지리아성경번역재단이 성경 번역 프로그램의 꾸준한 진전을 이루고 있습니다. 그러나, 이미 신약 성경을 완역된 공동체에서 시력 문제로 인해 성경을 읽는 데 어려움을 겪는 사람들이 많습니다. 이에 나이지리아 성경 번역재단은 의료 기관과 협력하여 무료 검안, 안경 제공, 백내장 수술을 돕고 있습니다. 나아진 시력을 통해 사람들이 하나님의 말씀을 접할 수 있도록 돕는 이 총체적인 섬김을 인하여 감사드립니다. 이 사역의 성공과 시력이 약한 이들의 치유, 동역 단체와의 원활한 협력, 그리고 신체적, 영적 필요를 모두 충족시키기 위한 창의적인 섬김을 위해 계속 기도해 주세요.

Serving vision needs to enable Bible reading: Nigeria
The Nigeria Bible Translation Trust (NBTT) is making steady progress in its programs. In some communities that already have a completed New Testament, many people still find it challenging to connect with Scripture due to vision issues. In response, NBTT is collaborating with medical organizations to offer free eye check-ups, glasses, and cataract surgeries. Thank God for this holistic initiative, which helps people access God’s Word through better vision. Pray for the success of this effort, healing for those with poor eyesight, smooth collaboration with partners, and more creative efforts to meet both physical and spiritual needs.

원격 번역 사역으로 인힌 도전: 스위스
위클리프 스위스는 15 명의 선교사가 원격으로 성경 번역 프로그램을 섬기고 있는데, 여기에는 장단점이 다 있습니다. 현지 사역 팀원들과의 소통에 필수적인 안정적인 인터넷 연결을 위해, 또한 같은 장소에 함께 있지 않더라도 탄탄한 팀웍을 유지할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 충분한 재정 지원의 확보 또한 도전이 되기도 합니다. 스위스의 높은 생활비 또한 큰 장벽이 되며, 어떤 후원자들은 본국에서 섬기는 사역자들(은 해외에서 사역하지 않기 때문에 이들을 선교사로 생각하지 않아 이들)과의 협력에 덜 적극적일 수도 있습니다. 또한 일부 사역자들이 민감한 보안 지역으로 정기적으로, 출장 다녀야 하므로 여행 중 안전을 위해서도 기도해 주세요.

Challenges of Serving in Translation Remotely: Switzerland
Wycliffe Switzerland has 15 members working on Bible translation programs remotely from Switzerland. This comes with both advantages and disadvantages. Pray for reliable internet connections, which are essential for communication with team members, and for strong team dynamics despite not being in the exact location. Another challenge is raising enough support. The high cost of living in Switzerland is a barrier, and some donors may be less willing to partner with Bible translators working remotely in their own country. Pray also for safety, as some of them travel regularly to sensitive locations.

Land Operations
In many parts of Africa, 98% of roads remain unpaved, and the rainy season extends for half the year. Despite these challenges, the most effective way for translators to gather input, test drafts, assist churches, and initiate literacy classes is by visiting local communities. That’s why JAARS facilitates our partners by supplying them with motorbikes, 4WD vehicles, safety equipment, and training in driving and maintenance. Please pray for the 4WD vehicles and motorcycles we provide to our mission organization partners worldwide, as well as for the operational and maintenance training of their personnel.
