알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
마르다 선교사와 온 가족이 보안지역 국가를 위해 섬기는 소속 단체 수련회 및 사역회의를 잘 마치고, 지난 2주 간 동역 교회들과 성도님들, 또한 옛 친구들과 함께 귀한 교제의 시간 갖게 되었음에 감사드립니다!
마르다 선교사는 월말에 대만으로 귀국한 뒤, 8월 초에 한국에서 오는 태권도 단기팀과 함께 협력하여 출석하는 대만 교회에서 대만 내 청년들과 청소년들을 위한 선교 사역을 코디하게 됩니다. 많은 청년과 청소년들이 참여하여 복음을 접하고 주께 돌아오는 역사가 있도록 기도해 주세요. 또한 마르다 선교사가 섬기는 보안지역 내 여러 성경번역 사역팀들이 역경의 상황에서도 하나님의 은혜로 안전하고 건강하게 사역을 지속하고, 동역하시는 현지인 사역자들에게도 동일한 은혜 주시기를 위해 함께 기도해 주세요.
다른 가족들은 지난 22일에 귀국했는데, 2 주 넘게 학업 진도를 따라잡아야 하는 막내 모세가 차근차근 잘 해나가고, 무엇보다 확실한 신앙 가운데 믿음으로 잘 성장하도록 기도해 주세요.

We are thankful for the Fungs’ participation in the conference of their entity, which works for a sensitive country, held in the first two weeks of July. We are also grateful for the precious fellowship she enjoyed with their partner churches, believers, and dear friends over the past two weeks.
After returning to Taiwan at the end of the month, Martha will host a short-term Taekwondo team from Korea for a day in early August to coordinate an evangelism event with them for Taiwanese young people and teenagers at the church she attends. Please pray that many young people and teenagers will participate, encounter the gospel, and return to the Lord. Additionally, please join us in praying that the Bible-translation teams she serves, working with the language groups in the sensitive country, may continue their work safely and healthily through God’s grace, despite the challenging circumstances, and that both expats and national workers may do so.
The rest of the family returned home on the 22nd. Please pray that the youngest son, Moses, who has been catching up on his studies for the missed classes over the past two weeks, will continue to do well step by step, and above all, that he will grow in faith with a firm belief.

하나님께서 태국 남부어로 된 성경이야기 구연 사역을 통해 이 지역에 빛을 비춰주시고, 새생명의 열매를 맺게 해주심에 감사드립니다. 최근 더 많은 교회들이 이에 동참하고, 성경이야기 구연사역 소그룹을 통해 계속해서 더 많은 사람들이 복음을 나누는 일에 동참하고 있습니다.
특별히 지역의 무슬림들에게도 복음이 전해지고 있음에 감사드리며, 계속해서 더 많은 지역교회와 소그룹 모임에서 성경이야기구전사역 웍샵이 개최되고 복음이 확산되도록 기도해 주세요. *보안명

Southern Thai Oral Bible Storying Project: Thailand

We are grateful to God for shining His light on this region through the ministry of Oral Bible Storytelling in the southern Thai language and for bringing forth the fruit of new life. Recently, more churches have joined this ministry, and through small groups dedicated to Oral Bible Storytelling, more people are participating in sharing the gospel.
We are especially grateful that the gospel is being shared with Muslims in the region. Please pray that more local churches and small group meetings will host Oral Bible Storytelling workshops and that the gospel will continue to spread. 감사와 기도 제목: 파푸아 뉴기니
파푸아뉴기니 성경번역협회는 다음과 같은 기도 요청과 감사의 제목을 나눕니다: 협회가 6월 23일- 26일 열린 40 개 이상의 단체들이 참석한 연례 파푸아뉴기니 성경 빌룸 포럼을 인해 하나님을 찬양합니다. 전 국회의원인 아놀드 에임스 경과 제임스 마라페 총리가 방문해 번역 사역을 격려하고, 번역 사역을 가능케 하는 지속적인 협력의 필요를 다졌습니다. 성경 번역에 참여하는 모든 단체 간의 협력과 동역 위에 하나님께서 지속적으로 축복해 주시도록, 건강 문제로 어려움을 겪고 있는 일부 사역자들의 치유를 위해, 그리고 모든 사역자들의 건강을 위해서 기도해 주세요. 초벌 번역된 많은 성경들이 자문위원의 점검을 기다리고 있습니다. 더 많은 자문위원들이 필요합니다. 연수 중에 있는 후보 자문 위원들이 필요한 점검 사역을 감당할 수 있도록, 신속하게 훈련을 마칠 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Praises and prayer needs: Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea Bible Translation Association (PNGBTA) shares the following items for prayer and praise: Praise God for the annual Papua New Guinea Bible Bilum Forum, hosted by PNGBTA from June 23-26. More than 40 organizations attended. Visits by Sir Arnold Ames, a former member of the national parliament, and Prime Minister James Marape encouraged the translation work and acknowledged the partnership that makes it possible. Pray for God’s continued blessing on partnership and collaboration among all the organizations involved in Bible translation in the country. Pray for healing for some staff members who have faced medical challenges. Pray for good health for all staff. Many draft Scripture books are awaiting consultant reviews, and more consultants are needed. Pray that the trainee consultants complete their training quickly so they can perform the necessary reviews.

의미 있는 연결과 참여 확대: 일본, 페루, 캐나다
위클리프 일본은 최근 연결된 사역들로 인하여 주님을 찬양합니다. 요시 대표는 5월 페루의 현지 사역단체인 아이디아를 방문하여 동부 아푸리멕 케추아 성경 봉헌식에 참석했습니다. 또한 리마의 일본-페루 교회와 캐나다 밴쿠버의 일본 복음 교회도 방문했습니다. 이러한 의미 있는 연결들을 허락하신 하나님을 찬양합니다.
5월 31일 위클리프 일본 온라인 세미나 또한 20명이 참석하여 성공적으로 진행되었습니다. 성경 번역, 위클리프 일본의 사역, 그리고 인도네시아 소수 민족 언어로의 찬송가 작곡 활동 등에 대해서 논의할 수 있는 기회였습니다. 성경 번역에 열정을 가진 일꾼들을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 적극적인 동참과 기도의 씨앗이 계속 자라나도록 기도해 주세요.
신입 멤버인 이시카와 선교사가 12주간의 PNG 오리엔테이션 과정에 참여하고 있으며 에스아이엘-파푸아뉴기니성경 번역협회에서 성경 활용 및 민족 전통 예술 사역자로 섬길 예정입니다.
위클리프 캠프가 9월 21일부터 23일까지 일본 나가노에서 개최될 예정입니다. 이 3일간의 캠프는 참가자들에게 성경 번역 사역을 소개하고, 언어학의 기본 원리와 언어 학습 및 타문화 소통을 위한 도구를 제공합니다. 캠프가 잘 준비될 수 있도록, 그리고 하나님께서 선교에 대한 열정을 가진 많은 참가자들이 동참하도록 기도해 주세요.

Meaningful connections and expanding involvement: Japan, Peru, Canada
Wycliffe Japan praises the Lord for recent connections: Josh, the Executive Director, visited AIDIA in Peru in May and attended the dedication of the Apurímac Quechua Bible. He also visited a Japanese-Peruvian church in Lima and the Japanese Gospel Church in Vancouver, Canada. Praise God for these meaningful connections.
Wycliffe Japan’s online seminar on May 31 was a success, with 20 participants. It provided an opportunity to discuss Bible translation, Wycliffe Japan’s work, and songwriting activities in an Indonesian minority language. Praise God for people passionate about Bible translation. Pray that seeds of involvement and prayer will grow.
Pray for Rei Ishikawa, a new member, is attending the 12-week PNG Orientation Course. She will serve with SIL-PNG as a Scripture engagement and ethno-arts worker.
Wycliffe Camp are scheduled from September 21-23 in Nagano, Japan. This three-day camp introduces participants to the work of Bible translation, covering the basics of linguistics and providing tools for language learning and intercultural communication. Pray for good preparations and that God will bring many participants with a heart for missions.

Training
Skill, knowledge, and experience are crucial elements that can make all the difference when approaching missions in a challenging new setting. Especially when your role is to solve critical logistical problems for workers already there. JAARS provides focused, specialized training that is vital in many different areas for those preparing for work in Bible translation and related ministries. Please pray that God will mightily use our instructors to provide practical, helpful training for those preparing for missions work.
