캐나다와 한국 제 8기 영어 튜터링 프로그램
8월 27부터 10 주 동안 한국성경번역선교회(GBT, 위클리프한국) 사역자들의 영어 능력 향상을 위한 제 8기 영어 튜터링 프로그램이 시작됩니다. 섬겨주시는 전, 현직 위클리프 캐나다 사역자들과 자원 봉사자들에게 감사드립니다.
양국의 코디네이터 팀으로 섬기는 김뵈뵈/이규준/윤기태/폴 마즈너 선교사에게 잘 섬길 수 있는 헌신의 마음과 지혜주시고,
열정적으로 참가하는 지비티(GBT) 사역자들이 이 프로그램의 영어 능력 향상을 통해 다문화 팀과 국제적 사역 상황에서 더욱 의미있게 잘 기여하게 되도록 기도해 주세요.

GBT-WBTC, the 8th English tutoring program
Starting August 27, we will begin our eighth English tutoring program for Global Bible Translators (GBT: Wycliffe Korea), which will run for ten weeks. We thank God for the English tutors, including current and former Wycliffe Canada members, and the volunteers serving in this effort.
Please pray for God's wisdom for the coordination team—Phoebe Kim, Gyoojun Lee, Daniel Yoon, and Paul Meisner.
Also, pray for the participating GBT workers to improve their English skills so they can contribute more meaningfully in cross-cultural teams and international partnerships.

북부 와미* 프로젝트
여성 센터 사역을 통해, 부모들마저도 관심과 기대를 갖지 않는 젊은 여성들에게, 복음의 씨앗이 뿌려지고, 읽고 쓰기 훈련과 재봉 교실을 통해, 그들에게 하나님의 형상을 지닌 귀한 인생으로서의 존엄과 각자의 삶에 하나님의 목적을 이루고자 하는 소망과 기쁨으로 가득하게 하심을 감사드립니다!
저들이 더욱 말씀에 깊이 뿌리박고 가정과 공동체 안에 그리스도의 빛을 비추는 증인이 되도록, 또한 이 사역에 힘쓰는 리더의 부인이 건강한 가운데 여러 센터를 방문하며 여성들을 잘 돌볼 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Through the women's center ministries, we are grateful that the seeds of the gospel are being sown among young women who are neglected even by their parents, and that through literacy and sewing classes, they are filled with dignity as precious beings created in God's image, as well as hope and joy in fulfilling God's purpose in their lives!
Please pray that they may be deeply rooted in the Word and become witnesses who shine the light of Christ in their families and communities. Also, pray that the wife of the leader, who is dedicated to this ministry, may remain in good health as she visits various centers and cares for the women. *pseudonym

온라인 및 오프라인 훈련: 아르헨티나
레트라 아르헨티나(성경번역협회)는 온라인 및 오프라인(대면)으로 언어학 입문 과정을 개설했습니다. 3 개월 온라인 과정은 8 월에 시작하여 11 월에 마치게 되며, 3 주 대면 과정은 내년 1 월에 시작됩니다. 입문 과정에서는 음성학과 언어학, 제 2 언어 습득에 대한 훈련을 제공하게 됩니다.
온라인 과정에 등록한 학생들이 배운 내용들을 잘 기억하고 향후 번역이나 선교 사역에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있도록 기도해 주시고
내년 1월에 개강될 오프라인 과정도 이 과정에 등록을 원하는 학생들을 하나님께서 인도해 주시고 교수진들과 학생들의 준비하는 과정을 은혜로 인도해 주시기를 기도해 주세요.
학생들을 학문적으로 뿐만 아니라 영적으로도 준비시켜 주셔서 각 자에게 맡기신 사역을 잘 감당할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Online and in-person training: Argentina
Letra Argentina offers an introductory linguistic training course both online and in person. The three-month online course started in August and will conclude in November. A three-week, in-person course will be available in January 2026. The Curso Fundamental provides training in phonetics, linguistics, and second language acquisition.
Pray for the students enrolled in the online course that they will be able to retain what they learn and apply it effectively in future translation or mission work.
Ask God to bring the students he wants to attend the in-person course offered in January. Pray that he will guide the instructors and each student as they prepare.
Ask God to prepare each student not only academically but also spiritually for the work he is preparing them to do among the people he wants them to serve.

40주년을 기념하며: 캐나다
캐나다 언어 문화 연구소(CanIL)는 성경 번역 사역을 위해 학생들을 양성해 온지 올해로 40 주년이 되었습니다. 40 개 국 이상에서 수백 명의 동문들이 사역하고 있음을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다. 또한, 비욘드 워드 캠페인을 통해서 온라인 및 오프라인 수업들을 학생들에게 더 잘 지원할 수 있도록 이에 필수적인 시설 개선 및 기술 업그레이드에 투자를 위한 기금을 모을 수 있도록 허락해 주신 하나님께 감사드립니다. 캔아이엘은 경험이 많은 현지인 성경번역 사역자들이 훈련을 통해 성경번역 자문위원이 되게 돕는, 성경 번역 석사 학위 과정 (MATS)에 프랑스어를 추가했으며, 내년에는 스페인어도 포함시킬 예정입니다.
캔아이엘 교직원들이 현장의 필요에 맞춰 교육 프로그램을 지속적으로 혁신해 나가도록, 또한 졸업 후 사역지에 투입될 학생들을 위해서도 함께 기도해 주세요.
MATS 프로그램 역시 잘 성장하여, 더 많은 현지인 성경번역 사역자들에게 훈련을 제공함으로써, 번역 자문 위원들의 수요를 충족시키(고 전 세계적으로 병목 현상에 있는 번역 최종 점검을 원활하게 하)는 데 계속 기여할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Celebrating 40 years of training: Canada
Canada Institute of Linguistics (CanIL) marks four decades of preparing students to serve in Bible translation. Praise God for the hundreds of alumni working in over 40 countries. Praise him also for the funding raised through the Beyond Words Campaign to invest in essential building improvements and upgraded technology to serve both in-person and remote students better. CanIL has expanded the Master of Arts degree in Translation of Scripture (MATS) to include French, and work is underway to launch it in Spanish next year. This program supports experienced native-language translators worldwide and qualifies them to serve as translation consultants.
Pray for CanIL staff as they continue to innovate their training to meet field needs, and for the students as they graduate and begin their assignments.
Pray for the ongoing success of the MATS program as it expands to serve more field partners, and that it will continue to help meet the global need for translation consultants.

아프리카 일부 지역에서는 도로의 98% 가 비포장도로이고 일 년 중 절반 동안은 우기가 지속됩니다. 번역가들이 의견을 얻고, 초벌 번역본을 테스트하고, 교회를 돕고, 문해 수업을 시작하기 위한 가장 좋은 방법은 현지 마을들을 직접 방문하는 것입니다. 그래서 잘스는 동역자들에게 오토바이, 사륜구동 차량, 안전 장비, 그리고 운전 및 정비 교육 등을 제공함으로써 길을 열어주는 사역으로 섬기고 있습니다. 전 세계 선교 동역 팀들에게 잘스가 제공하는 차량과 오토바이, 그리고 그 장비들을 관리하는 사역자들을 위한 운영 및 유지 보수 교육이 잘 이루어지도록 기도해 주세요.

Land Operations
In many parts of Africa, 98% of roads remain unpaved, and the rainy season extends for half the year. Despite these challenges, the most effective way for translators to gather input, test drafts, assist churches, and initiate literacy classes is by visiting local communities. That’s why JAARS facilitates our partners by supplying them with motorbikes, 4WD vehicles, safety equipment, and training in driving and maintenance. Please pray for the 4WD vehicles and motorcycles we provide to our mission organization partners worldwide, as well as for the operational and maintenance training of their personnel.
