이규준 선교사가 1/12-16일에 캘거리에서 심플리 모빌라이징 캐나다 코디 팀의 수련회에 참여합니다. 교회의 선교 동원을 위한 협력에 기여하고 동시에 이를 통해 성경번역 선교를 위한 동원이 함께 일어나도록 기도해 주세요.

Korean Diaspora Engagement
The Korean edition of the Wycliffe Canada quarterly ‘In Other Words’ (Bible in Every Language) Fall 2025 issue has been published. We are grateful that this quarter's valuable content has been issued in Korean, thanks to the dedication and cooperation of our team members!
Gyoojun Lee will attend the Simply Mobilizing Canada Coordination Team retreat in Calgary, Jan 12 to 16. Please pray that this partnership will help mobilize the church for God's Mission and ignite mobilization for the Bible translation movement as well.
Please pray that many will join the Kairos Course for ethnic church leaders, offered in collaboration with CMCA and Tyndale.

L 선교사는 지난 수개월 동안 여러 번의 교정을 거쳐 준비 중이던 로마서의 자문위원 점검을 주님의 은혜로 잘 마침에 하나님께 감사와 영광을 올려드립니다. 아울러 느헤미아의 이야기 번역 초본 수정 과정이 약 70% 정도 진행되었고 2월 중에 수정 작업을 마칠 계획입니다. 올해 초부터 번역팀의 동료와 함께 대상 언어의 담화 체계를 분석하는 작업에 착수합니다. 담화 분석은 글, 말, 대화 등 실제로 언어가 사용될 때, 사회적, 문화적 맥락 속에서 어떻게 의미가 전달되는지를 중점적으로 연구하는 집중을 요하는 작업입니다.
- 모어로 로마서를 접하는 모든 이들에게 말씀의 능력을 경험하도록,
- 느혜미아 이야기 번역 작업에 팀 동료 및 현지인 언어 조력자와의 의사소통이 원활하도록 기도해 주세요.

L & C: Bible translation in a sensitive area of Asia
L gives thanks and glory to God for the successful completion, by His grace, of the consultant check of the book of Romans, which had been prepared over the past several months through multiple rounds of editing. Additionally, the revision process for the Book of Nehemiah translation draft is about 70% complete, and the team plans to finish the revisions by the end of February. Starting early this year, L will analyze the target language's discourse system alongside his colleagues on the translation team. Discourse analysis is a demanding task that focuses on studying how written text, speech, and conversation convey meaning within social and cultural contexts.
- Please pray that all who encounter Romans in their mother tongue may experience the power of the Word.
- Pray especially for smooth communication with team members and the local ministry facilitator during the Nehemiah story translation project.

알버트 / 마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
알버트 선교사는 작년 11월 말에 있었던 시라야 족의 마가복음에 대한 자문위원 점검, 특별히 AI를 활용한 초벌 번역을 이용한 진행 과정을 통하여 깊은 통찰력과 실무적인 기술에 대한 좋은 훈련의 기회가 된 것을 인하여 하나님께 감사드립니다. 마르다 선교사는 작년 10월 제 3 국에서 보안 지역의 언어들을 섬기는 팀들과 만났습니다. 각 프로젝트를 잘 운영하기 위한 여러 모임과 팀원들의 주거지까지 방문하며 현지 사역자들과의 상황을 잘 공감하게 된 유익한 출장이었습니다. 마르다 선교사가 섬기는 교회에서 학생부 멘토링과 지역사회 봉사활동을 통하여 좋은 영향력을 끼칠 수 있음에 감사드립니다.

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager for a sensitive area, respectively.
Albert thanks God for the chance to gain deep insight and practical skills through the Gospel of Mark consultation-checking process for the Siraya language, held in late November last year, especially through the referring of AI-generated translation draft. Martha visited translation teams working remotely in the third country to serve language groups in sensitive regions of Asia last October. It was a productive trip where she attended various meetings to ensure the smooth operation of each project, visited team members' residences, and gained a deep understanding of the situation alongside field workers. We are grateful that Martha can make a positive impact through student mentoring and community service at the church she serves.
- Please pray for Albert's recovery after his traffic accident so he can faithfully carry out his assigned ministry.

원주민 성경 번역 운동: 빌과 노마진 선교사
작년 말로, 빌과 노마진 선교사가 은퇴했습니다. 더 이상 프로젝트를 감독하지는 않지만, 퀘벡 지역, 나스카피 사역을 계속 지원하고 있습니다. 위클리프에서 43년간 섬긴 얀체위(비)츠 선교사 가족을 통해 영광을 드러내신 하나님의 모든 일들로 인하여 찬양을 올려드립니다.
나스카피 팀이 이사야서 초벌 번역을 진행하고, 민수기 역 번역 작업, 사사기, 룻기, 요나서의 오디오 녹음 작업, 또한 이번 달 에스더서 자문위원 점검을 완료하는 모든 사역을 위해 기도해 주세요.
나스카피 구약 성경의 다른 프로젝트들은 진척 단계가 각기 다르지만, 여전히 일부 점검 단계에서 추가 작업이 필요합니다: 신명기, 여호수아, 사무엘상·하, 열왕기상·하, 에스라, 느헤미야, 욥기, 아가, 다니엘, 요엘서.
또한 나스카피와 다른 원주민 공동체들의 모어로 된 하나님의 말씀에 대한 열린 마음과 지속적인 갈망이 계속되도록 기도해 주세요.

Indigenous initiative: Bill and Norma Jean Jancewicz
At the end of 2025, Bill and Normajean retired from Wycliffe and SIL. They are no longer supervising projects but continue to support Naskapi initiatives in Quebec language communities. Praise God for all He has done to bring glory to Himself through the Jancewicz family after 43 years of service with Wycliffe.
Please pray for the Naskapi team as they progress with the first draft of Isaiah, work on back-translation for Numbers, record audio for Judges, Ruth, and Jonah, and recently completed consultant-checking the book of Esther this month.
These other Naskapi Old Testament projects are at different stages of development but still require further work on some checking steps: Deuteronomy, Joshua, 1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Kings, Ezra, Nehemiah, Job, Song of Solomon, Daniel, and Joel.
Also, pray for open hearts and a continued desire for the Word of God in the Naskapi and other First Nations communities' heart languages.

번역에서 주도적인 역할을 하는 교회: 필리핀
위클리프 필리핀은 국제 연대 안에서 비교적 젊은 단체로 약 18년간 성경 번역 사역을 이어왔습니다. 2017년, 위클리프 필리핀은 자신들이 사역하는 언어 공동체 내 교회들과의 협력을 시작했으며, 2018년에는 언어 공동체의 목회자와 평신도 지도자들을 번역가로서 발굴하고, 번역 원리, 언어학과 해석학을 교육하며 교회 파트너십을 적극적으로 추진했습니다. 그들은 의도적으로 한발 물러서서 교회와 공동체가 번역 프로젝트를 주도하도록 격려함으로 오늘날에는 위클리프 필리핀이 섬기는 79개의 번역 공동체 모두에서 교회가 주도적인 역할을 감당하고 있습니다.
교회와 공동체, 그리고 위클리프 필리핀 간의 협력이 계속 탄탄히 이어지고, 번역된 말씀의 영향력이 큰 변혁을 일으키도록 기도해 주세요.

Churches take a lead role in translation: Philippians
Wycliffe Philippines, a relatively young organization in the Alliance, has served in Bible translation for about 18 years. In 2017, Wycliffe Philippines began engaging churches within the language communities it works with. In 2018, they started vigorously pursuing church partnerships by seeking language community pastors and lay church leaders to serve as translators and training them in translation principles, linguistics, and exegesis. They have intentionally “taken a backseat” and encouraged churches and communities to lead translation projects. Today, the church takes a lead role in all 79 translation communities that Wycliffe Philippines serves.
Pray that collaboration between the church/community and Wycliffe Philippines will remain strong and that the impact of the translated Word brings widespread transformation.

• 하나님께서 카초크 신자들을 성경 번역가로 부르시고 준비시켜주시도록. 현지인 번역가 없이는 성경이 진정으로 뿌리내릴 수 없기 때문입니다. 분명한 부르심과 담대한 순종이 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Celebrating Answered Prayer Among the Kachok: Cambodia, United Kingdom
In 2022, the staff of Wycliffe UK & Ireland invited prayer for the Kachok church in Cambodia as they started to grow in literacy and worship in their own language. Since then, literacy classes are led by churches, songs in the Kachok language enrich worship, and believers are stepping up to teach others. Even in the face of spiritual opposition, the light of Christ continues to shine. Give thanks and pray for:
• Churches leading literacy classes and those reading and singing in their heart language. Pray that this will draw people deeper into a relationship with Jesus.
• Three Kachok believers who teach literacy in their churches. Pray that their work will inspire others to grow in faith and confidence in engaging with Scripture.
• The Kachok church in P* village, where believers encounter spiritual resistance. Pray to God to strengthen them, especially their pastor, and to firmly anchor their hope in Christ.
• The use of traditional gongs in Christian worship. Pray this bold act of praise affirms the Kachok's identity in Christ and powerfully communicates to their broader community.
• Seek wisdom and favour in discussions with Cambodian education officials as the Kachok alphabet undergoes review. Pray that God opens doors for mother-tongue education.
• God will call and equip Kachok believers to become Bible translators. Pray for clarity and courage—without local translators, Scripture cannot truly take root.

Pray that God will grant our JAARS staff encouragement, strength, and unity of spirit as we face the challenges and increasing demands of the new year.
Pray that the Water Travel Safety Instructor training this week goes well.
Praise God for the four new instructor pilots serving at JAARS. Continue to pray for three more Aviation Maintenance Trainers.
