박요섭 / 조선향 선교사: 파푸아뉴기니 카니누와 민족 성경 번역
오랫동안 여 선교회에서 섬겨오던 신실한 자매, 필로미나가 지난 6월부터 번역팀에 합류하여 감사드립니다. 또한 예전 번역팀 멤버였던 윌포드를 하나님이 다시 팀에 합류하도록 보내주셔서 큰 힘이 되고 있습니다.
현재 팀은 로마서 번역을 시작했습니다. 로마서는 신약 성경 중 번역하기 가장 어려운 책 가운데 하나인데, 박 선교사는 지난 몇 달 동안 기도하며 로마서 번역을 위한 준비를 마쳤고, 마침 팀 멤버들이 강화된 것입니다. 현재 로마서 1-4장의 초벌 번역을 마쳤고, 합류한 월포드가 로마서를 번역하며 받은 은혜를 이렇게 간증합니다:
“예전에 영어 성경으로 읽을 때, 지나쳤던 구절이었는데, 이번에 카니누와어로 번역하면서 말씀의 깊이와 하나님의 은혜가 더욱 절절하게 마음에 와닿았습니다.”
번역팀이 하나님 주시는 지혜로 이 말씀들을 잘 번역해 카니누와 사람들이 온전한 복음으로 삶이 변화되도록 기도해 주세요.

Joseph & Joyce Park: Kaninuwa Bible Translation, Papua New Guinea (PNG)
We are grateful that Philomena, a faithful sister who has long served in the Women's group, joined the translation team last June. God has sent Wilford, a former member of the Kaninuwa translation team to rejoin, which is a great encouragement.
The Kaninuwa translation team began the translation of the Book of Romans, which is among the most challenging books to translate in the New Testament. Joseph has been praying and preparing the necessary materials over the past few months, and thankfully in God's time, the team is strengthened by the newly joined members. The team recently completed the first translation draft of Romans chapters 1-4. Wilford testifies to the grace received while translating Romans:
“When I read it in the English Bible before, it was a passage I had passed over. But this time, translating it into Kaninuwa, the depth of the Word and God's grace struck my heart more profoundly.”
Please pray that the translation team, guided by God's wisdom, may faithfully translate these words so that the people of Kaninu and others may have their lives transformed by the Word of God.

이규준/한진숙 선교사: 캐나다, 디아스포라 협력
성경 필사 행사를 통해 원주민 성경 번역 사역에 헌금하며 동역해 주시는 해밀턴한인연합교회의 동역에 감사드립니다. 9월 7일(주일)에는 이 선교사가 예배 때 말씀을 전합니다. 복된 동역이 계속되도록 기도해 주세요.
9월 13일(토)에는 미국 워싱턴 DC 근교 열린문교회의 영어 회중을 위한 '완수할 이야기' 선교 훈련 프로그램을 섬기게 됩니다. 교회의 여러 조력자들이 잘 훈련받아 교회 자체적으로 프로그램을 잘 섬길 수 있게 되도록 기도해 주세요. 또한 단순히 좋은 프로그램이 아니라, 참가자들의 선교적인 삶의 변화로 이어지고 북미 한인교회 영어권 회중의 선교 동원을 위한 좋은 모델이 만들어지도록 기도해 주세요.
또한 9월 22-26일에 캘거리에서 열리는 원주민 성경번역사역자 웍샵중, 9월 25일 목요일 점심 및 오후 세션에 한인교회와 중국인교회 리더들과 관심자들을 초대하고 있습니다. 많은 분들이 동참하도록 기도해 주세요.

Gyoojun & Jinsook Lee: Director of Diaspora Engagement, Canada
We thank Hamilton Korean United Church for partnering with us in supporting the Indigenous Bible translation ministry through their donation collected at the Handwriting Bible Copy event. Gyoojun will share a message during the worship service on Sunday, September 7th. Please pray for the continued blessing of this partnership.
Saturday, Sep. 9, Gyoojun will be serving the English Congregation of Open Door Presbyterian Church in the Washington D.C. area with ‘The Unfinished Story.’ Please pray that the church's facilitators are well-trained so they can effectively lead the program independently over time. Also, pray that it will not just be a good program, but one that leads participants to missional life transformation and becomes a strong example for mobilizing the English-speaking congregation of Korean-American churches for missions.
Additionally, during the First Nations Bible Translator Workshop in Calgary from September 22 to 26, we invite leaders and interested individuals from Korean and Chinese churches to join us for lunch and open sessions on the afternoon of Thursday, September 25. Please pray that many will participate.

크리 원주민 성경 번역 운동: 사역 업데이트
빌 선교사는 9월 8일부터 13일까지 카와와치까맠을 다시 방문하여 새로 만든 나스카피 사전을 출시하고 기념하며 배포하는 특별 행사에 참석할 예정입니다.
캐나다 원주민 성경 번역 사역자들을 위한 웍샵이 9 월 21 일부터 26 일까지 앨버타주 캘거리에서 열립니다. 지난 10 년간 온타리오주 구엘프에서 원주민 성경 번역팀의 역량 강화와 훈련을 위해 웍샵을 개최해 왔는데, 올해는 캐나다 북서부 지역 원주민 공동체들이 자체 번역 프로젝트를 막 시작하는 점을 고려하여 웍샵 장소를 캘거리 지역으로 옮겼습니다.
빌과 노마 진 선교사 부부의 바쁜 9 월 사역 일정 중 하나님의 은혜와 돌보심을 위해 기도해 주세요. 이번 웍샵의 효과적인 계획 수립과 은혜로운 진행을 위해, 그리고 나스카피, 아니시니니이모윈, 블랙풋, 카왁'왈라 등과 다른 많은 원주민 언어공동체가 하나님의 말씀에 대한 지속적인 갈망과 열린 마음을 주시고, 섬기는 사역자들에게 지혜와 은혜가 넘치도록 기도해 주세요.

Cree initiative: ministry update
Bill will return to Kawawachikamach for a special event to launch, celebrate, and distribute the new Naskapi Lexicons in the community from September 8 to 13.
The First Nations Translator Workshop will take place from September 21 to 26 in Calgary, Alberta. For the past 10 years, we have held these workshops in Guelph, Ontario, to build capacity and support mother-tongue Bible translation teams. This year, we have moved the workshop west to accommodate the First Nations language groups in that region, who are just beginning their own translation projects.
Please pray for Bill and Norma Jean, and ask God for His mercy and care during their travels over the next few weeks. Pray for effective planning and the successful execution of the First Nations Translator Workshop in Calgary. Pray also for wisdom and grace for the staff, open hearts, and a sustained hunger for the Word of God in Naskapi, Anishininiimowin, Blackfoot, Kwak'wala, and many other First Nations languages.

9월 말 새 사이트로 런칭하기 위한 디자인, 페이지 수정, 그리고 6개 언어로 콘텐츠를 옮기기 위해 필요한 최종 결정을 내리는 과정을 위해, 그리고 열방을 향한 성경 번역 운동을 위해 하나님께서 필요한 힘과 영감, 그리고 지혜 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Pray for the Alliance communications team as they develop a redesigned wycliffe.net website and update other communication materials. Praise God for adding Otabil Arthur from GILLBT in Ghana to the team, who is designing the technical part of the site and is also knowledgeable about social media.
Pray for final decisions regarding the design, wisdom in revising pages, and the transfer of content into six languages in preparation for launching the new site at the end of September. Pray for energy, inspiration, and wisdom as the team works to keep our global movement connected.

영적 공동체로 성장: 캐나다
작년 10월, 위클리프 캐나다는 단체 조직을 개편하면서, 의도적으로 소속 선교사들의 영적 활력을 고취시키고 강화하는 사역을 위해 영성 팀을 출범시켰습니다. 팀 리더인 버트 선교사가 11월에 은퇴함에 따라, 발레리 선교사가 영성 팀의 책임자로 임명되었습니다. 위클리프 캐나다는 모든 사역자들이 공동체의 일원임을 느끼고, 예수 안에 거함으로 서로 하나 되어 섬기는 영적 공동체로 성장하기를 열망합니다. 개인과 공동체 모두의 영적 성장이 더욱 깊어지도록, 그리고 하나님께서 원하시는 공동체의 영적 성장을 위해 팀이 어떤 일들을 해나가야 할 지 잘 분별할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Growing as a spiritual community: Canada
In October 2024, Wycliffe Canada underwent restructuring, which included the launch of the Spiritual Vitality Team (SV Team). The goal of the SV team is to nurture the spiritual health of all Wycliffe Canada staff more intentionally. With Bert retiring in November 2025, Valerie Salkeld has been asked to replace him as VP of Spiritual Vitality. The desire is for Wycliffe Canada to grow as a spiritual community, where all staff feel part of a community, ministering with unity and abiding in Jesus. Pray for deepening of spiritual growth both individually and corporately, and for discernment on the steps God wants their community to take to nurture spiritual growth.

Base Operations
Please pray for the ongoing transitions at the JAARS Base in Waxhaw, North Carolina, USA, to improve our ability to train, deploy, and support the next generation of missionary pilots, mechanics, and technicians. New and restructured divisions, departments, and staff are present at every level. Pray that we will develop cohesive cross-functional teams with agile minds and willing hearts as we explore new collaboration methods..
