알버트 / 마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
알버트 선교사가 지난 8월 중순 오토바이로 귀가하는 중에 다른 오토바이에 충돌사고를 당해서 어깨 쇄골과 견갑골에 부상을 입고 수술 후 치료 중입니다. 후유증 없이 잘 회복되도록 기도해 주세요. 알버트 선교사는 10월 중순에 태국에서 모이는 위클리프 국제연대 아시아 지역 대표 회의에 참석합니다. 또한 10월말에는 협력 단체 단기 선교팀과 말레이시아에 있는 난민 캠프를 방문하여 필요한 사역을 협의하러 방문합니다.
마르다는 계속하여 보안 지역의 프로젝트들이 효율적으로 진행되도록 계획하고 지원하는 사역을 맡고 있고, 많은 회의들을 주관하는데 하나님의 은혜와 지혜로 팀들을 잘 섬길 수 있도록 기도해 주세요. 마르다 선교사도10월 중순에 섬기는 팀들을 만나기 위해 동남아 지역을 방문하게 됩니다. 알버트와 마르다 선교사의 오가는 여정과 감당할 사역들에 열매가 있도록 기도해 주세요.
큰아들 이삭이 지난 9월 동부 지역 대학에 합격하여 처음으로 집을 떠나 대학 생활을 시작했습니다. 둘째 모세는 아버지가 교통사고를 당해 자전거로 통학을 하는데, 두 아들이 학업을 잘 감당하고 믿음 생활도 잘 할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager of a sensitive area, respectively
Albert was involved in a motorcycle collision, hit by another motorcycle, while riding home in mid-August, sustaining injuries to his shoulder, collarbone, and shoulder blade. He is currently undergoing treatment after a surgery. Please pray for his full recovery without any lasting effects. Albert will attend the Wycliffe Global Alliance Asia-Pacific area Representatives Meeting in Thailand in mid-October. Additionally, at the end of October, he will visit a refugee camp in Malaysia with a short-term mission team from a partner organization to discuss necessary ministry work.
Martha continues to oversee the planning and support of projects in a sensitive area to ensure they proceed efficiently. She chairs numerous Zoom meetings; please pray that she may serve the teams well with God's grace and wisdom. She will be visiting the field teams of the South Asia area in mid-October. Please pray for fruitful journeys and ministries for both Albert and Martha.
The eldest son, Isaac, was accepted to a university in the eastern region last September and has left home for the first time to begin his university life. The youngest son, Moses, commutes to high school by bicycle since his father was involved in a traffic accident. Please pray that both sons can manage their studies well and continue their faith journey.

일루미네이션스 주관
성경번역 선교 위한 1주 집중 기도
일루미네이션스는 여러 단체가 연합하여 2033년까지 모든 언어에 적어도 한 권 혹은 중요한 성경 내용이 번역되게 하자는 운동입니다. 세계 번역의 날인 9/30일을 기점으로 10/6 일까지 한 주간 세계 성경번역 선교 운동을 위해, 말씀에 기초하여 기도하는 시간을 갖습니다. 영어로는 성경 앱 YouVersion을 통해 오디오로도 성경말씀과 묵상본문 읽기가 가능합니다.
('일루미네이션스'는 빛을 비춤이라는 영어 단어에 열방/민족들 Nations이란 단어를 합쳐 축약시킨 말로, 모든 민족에게 그들의 말로 말씀의 빛이 비추게 하자는 뜻입니다.)

Week of Prayer for Bible Translation
illumiNations is a coalition of Bible translation mission related organizations working to ensure that at least one Bible or significant Bible portion is translated into every language by 2033. Starting on World Translation Day, September 30th, they dedicate a week to prayer for the global Bible translation movement, grounded in God's Word. You can listen to Bible passages and devotional readings through the YouVersion Bible app.

북부 태국어(라나) 문해 및 성경 활용: 동남아시아
이 프로젝트에서 인턴으로 섬기고 있는 빔이 나눈 간증입니다.
“이 기간 저는 제 삶에 대한 하나님의 뜻을 간절히 구하며 인도하심을 위해 기도했습니다. 기도와 묵상을 통해, 하나님께서 제가 이 문해 프로젝트에서 계속 섬기도록 저를 인도하고 계심을 깨달았습니다.”
이제 빔이 위클리프 태국의 선교사로 동역자 개발을 위해 힘쓰고 있는데, 하나님의 공급하심을 체험하게 기도해 주세요.
미국에서 온 하계 인턴이 팀에 잘 적응해서 팀원들의 영어 능력 향상에 도움을 주었음을 인하여 감사드립니다.
라나어 문해 교실이나 클럽 모임마다 학생들이 이 북부 태국어 성경의 구절이나 본문을 읽고 토론하는 모습을 보며 하나님께 감사드립니다.
인턴십 마지막 기간을 보내는 자자를 위해 기도해 주세요. 인턴십을 마친 후 어디서 어떻게 섬길지 주의 인도하심을 구하고 있습니다. 인턴 보조금 지원 기간이 끝나감에 따라 하나님의 분명한 인도와 공급하심을 위해, 또한 최근 조부모님 두 분 모두 돌아가신 그녀의 가족을 위해서도 기도해 주세요.

Northern Thai (Lanna) Literacy and Scripture Use: Southeast Asia
Beam, a project intern, shares:
“During this period, I earnestly sought God’s will for my life, praying for His guidance. Through prayer and reflection, I came to realize that God is leading me to continue serving in this literacy project.”
Please pray with Beam that he will experience God's provision as he develops partners, churches and individuals.
Praise God that a summer intern from the USA worked with the team. She fit in well and helped each team member strengthen their English skills. Praise God that at each Lanna Class or Club meeting, the students read and discuss a verse or passage from the Northern Thai Bible.
Please pray for JaJa during these final months of her internship. She is seeking the Lord’s guidance on how and where to serve once she completes it. Pray for God’s clear direction and provision as her stipend comes to an end. Also, pray for her family, as both of her paternal grandparents recently passed away.

Unity
The Alliance consists of over 100 organizations. Each organization is independent, with its own leadership structure and a unique, God-given vision. These organizations are driven by their desire to see individuals, communities, and nations transformed through God's love and Word. They are passionate about the role of the Bible in church planting, evangelism, discipleship, and more. Wycliffe Global Alliance leaders seek ways to help these organizations collaborate, learning, grow, and develop in an interconnected manner. Pray that God will fill Alliance staff with his love, overwhelming them. Ask for his passion to motivate and guide our planning as we seek to glorify God. Pray that God will preserve and strengthen the unity within the Alliance, and inspire a desire for learning and growth together in community.

일꾼들을 위해 기도합시다
하나님께서 그분의 사역을 위한 자원들을 공급해 주심에 감사드립니다. 국제 연대 내 많은 팀이 인력이 부족합니다. 과거에 그랬던 것처럼 하나님께서 공급해 주실 것을 믿으며 이 팀들을 위해 기도합시다. ‘이에 제자들에게 이르시되 추수할 것은 많되 일꾼이 적으니 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 청하여 추수할 일꾼들을 보내 주소서 하라 하시니라.”’ (마태복음 9:37-38) 추수하는 주인이 일꾼들을 풍성히 보내주시고, 동료들의 은퇴나 이동으로 인해 더 많은 사역의 책무를 맡게 된 일꾼들에게 은혜 베풀어 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Pray for workers
We thank God for providing resources for His mission. Many teams within the Global Alliance are short-staffed. Pray for these teams, trusting Him to supply as He has in the past. ‘Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”’ (Matthew 9:37-38 NIV) Pray that the Lord of the harvest will generously provide workers and grant His grace to staff members who are handling additional responsibilities due to colleagues retiring or moving on.

Training
Skill, knowledge, and experience are crucial elements that can make all the difference when approaching missions in a challenging new setting. Especially when your role is to solve critical logistical problems for workers already there. JAARS provides focused, specialized training that is vital in many different areas for those preparing for work in Bible translation and related ministries. Please pray that God will mightily use our instructors to provide practical, helpful training for those preparing for missions work.
