이민자의 삶을 하나님의 선교로 이해하고 선교적인 삶을 살도록 돕는 프로그램인 '첫걸음 선교이야기'가 본한인교회에서 진행 중입니다 (4월 18일-5월 16일까지, 매 주 토요일)
- 이 프로그램을 통해 모두가 다 보내심 받은 자리에서 천국의 증인이 되는 삶을 살게 되도록 기도해 주세요
- 섬기는 이규준/한진숙 선교사에게 지혜를 주시도록, 교회들과의 더 풍성한 동역이 이어지도록 함께 기도해 주세요
- '우리는교회'에서도 6월에 첫걸음선교이야기를 계획하고 있는데, 동일한 은혜가 있도록 기도해 주세요

Mission 101
Mission 101 (The “First Steps Mission Story”) program has begun at Vaughan Community Church, every Saturday between Apr 18 and May 16. This program helps participants understand the life of an immigrant through the lens of God’s mission and live a missional life
- Please pray that, through this program, every participant may live as witnesses of God's Kingdom in the places where they have been sent
- Please join us in praying for Gyoojun & Jinsook who serve this program, and for a continued, fruitful partnership with other Korean Diaspora churches
- We Are Church is also planning to launch Mission 101 in June; please pray that they may experience the same grace

5월 비전 여행 / 7월 기금 모금 자전거 일주
5/1-19일에 위클리프 캐나다가 주관하는 카메룬 비전여행이 있습니다. 위클리프 스탭 3명과 참가자 5명이 함께 합니다. 지난 8 세션을 통해, 비전여행 팀을 현지에서 맞아줄 카메룬 현지인 사역자들과의 만남을 비롯하여, 기도와 재정 동원, 타문화 사역시 유의 사항, 건강한 팀웍 다지기 등 훈련을 잘 마쳤음에 감사드립니다. 참가자 중 한 사람이 출애굽기 33:13-16절을 근거로 묵상을 나눴던 것처럼, 하나님의 임재와 동행이 있으며 그분의 말씀과 행하심에 집중하는 비전여행이 되도록 기도해 주세요.
- 모든 필요한 재정이 다 채워졌음에 감사드리고, 금 주 출발 전에 참석자 8 명의 비자가 다 발행되도록
- 마지막 준비와 짐꾸리기가 순조롭게 이뤄지도록
- 카메룬 쪽의 사역자들도 팀을 맞을 준비를 잘 하도록
- 토론토에서 브루셀을 거쳐 야훈데에 이르는 안전한 여행을 위해

Vision Trip in May / Bike Ride Fundraising
Wycliffe Canada is organizing a vision trip to Cameroon from May 1–19. Three Wycliffe staff members and five participants will be joining the trip. We are grateful that, through the past eight sessions, the Vision Trip team has successfully completed their training, which included meetings with local Cameroonian ministers who will welcome them on-site, as well as sessions on prayer, fundraising, considerations for cross-cultural ministry, and building healthy teamwork. As one participant shared in their meditation based on Exodus 33:13-16, please pray that this Vision Trip will be a time marked by God’s presence and companionship, where we focus on His Word and His work.
We are grateful that all necessary funds have been provided. Please pray
- that the visas for all eight participants will be issued before our departure this week,
- that final preparations and packing will go smoothly, and
- that the local workers in Cameroon will be well-prepared to welcome the team.
- that the team will have a safe journey from Toronto to Yaoundé via Brussels

원주민 성경 번역 운동: 블랙풋 프로젝트
지난 2023년부터, 캘거리 근처에 사는 블랙풋 원주민들을 위한 성경번역 프로젝트가 시작되어, 위클리프 캐나다가 동역하고 있습니다. 지난 130여 년 동안 산발적으로 번역된 복음서들을 다시 번역하고 있습니다. 최근에 있었던 블랙풋 프로젝트를 위한 기도 모임에서 블랙풋 공동체의 로지 제인 사역자가 다음과 같은 기도 제목을 나누었습니다:
- 번역 팀이 영적인 힘과 일치를 유지할 수 있도록, 복잡한 신학적 개념을 블랙풋 언어와 방언으로 정확하게 전달할 수 있는 지혜를 주시도록 팀이
- 누가복음 팀이 누가복음 첫 100구절에 대한 자문 위원 점검중이며, 많은 수정작업을 거쳐야 했습니다.
- 오디오 번역본이 깨끗하고 명확하게 재녹음될 수 있도록
- 올해 요한복음을 재인쇄하고 블랙풋 성경 번역 앱을 개발할 계획인데 번역된 요한복음을 배포할 때 성경에 대한 적극적인 관심과 좋은 피드백이 있도록
- 또한 블랙풋의 세 공동체, 카이나이, 식시카, 피카니 부족 전체 내부에서 알코올 및 약물 중독과 이로 인한 노인 학대 등 지속적으로 일어나고 있는데, 함께 기도해 주세요.

Indigenous initiative:Blackfoot Project
Since 2023, a Bible translation project for the Blackfoot First Nations people living near Calgary has been underway, with Wycliffe Canada serving as a partner. The project involves retranslating the Gospels, which had been translated sporadically over the past 130 years. At a recent prayer gathering for the Indigenous Initiatives, Rosie Jane Tailfeathers of the Blackfoot community shared the following prayer items:
• Please pray for the translation team to maintain their spiritual strength and unity. Pray for wisdom to convey complex theological concepts accurately into the local Blackfoot languages and dialects
• The team is currently conducting consultant-checking sessions on the first 100 verses of Luke and has had to make many edits. Pray for a clean, clear re-recording of the audio translation as well
• The plan is to reprint the book of John and to develop a Blackfoot Bible translation app this year. Pray for strong engagement and feedback on the Scriptures as we distribute translated versions of John
• Pray also for all those who are part of the Blackfoot communities, including the Kainai Nation, Siksika Nation, and Piikani Nation, who face ongoing domestic issues, including alcoholism and addiction, and the resulting abuse of seniors

예루살렘 신학교 관계자들은 대피소로 인한 어려움이 있었음에도 불구하고, 이번 학기 코스들이 온라인과 대면 방식으로 모두 시작되었으며, 학생들과 교직원들이 인내하며 잘 버티고 있다고 전해 욌습니다. 신학교 지붕을 강타한 요격된 미사일 파편이 건물 내로 침투하지 않았고, 다친 사람도 없었던 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다
•학교에 있는 학생들과 교직원들이 계속해서 보호받도록, 그리고 코스를 듣고 가르치는 모든 이에게 하나님의 평안과 인내를 부어 주시도록
• 번역 사역이나 번역 자문을 준비하며 히브리어를 배우고 관련 성경 내용을 공부하는 신학생들을 위해 기도해 주세요

Courses continue amidst attacks: Israel, Global
Jerusalem Seminary staff report that, despite interruptions due to bomb shelters, courses for the current term began both online and in person, and that students and staff are persevering. Praise God that an intercepted missile fragment that struck the seminary’s roof in Jerusalem did not penetrate and that no one was injured
• Pray for continued protection for on-site students and staff. Ask God to infuse his peace and perseverance into all who are taking and teaching courses
• Pray for students learning Hebrew and studying related biblical content in preparation for work in translation or for consultation in translation

훈련 프로그램의 미래에 관한 결정: 독일
올해, 1960년대 이후 처음으로, 위클리프 독일은 성경번역가를 배출하는 학술기관인 독일 언어문화연구소에서 언어학 과정을 개설하지 않을 예정입니다. 최근 몇 년간 수강 신청자가 너무 적었고, 올해는 교수진도 공석인 상태입니다. 따라서 비상 대책팀이 모여 2027년 이후 과정 재개 여부와 그 방안을 논의할 예정입니다
• 변화가 필요하다는 것이 분명해질 때, 새로운 방향을 개척할 지혜와 용기도 주시도록 기도해 주세요

Decisions about the future of the training program: Germany
This year, for the first time since the 1960s, Wycliffe Germany will not offer linguistics courses at the German SIL school, SSK (Seminar für Sprache und Kultur). In recent years, registrations have been too low, and the leadership position is vacant this year as well. Therefore, a working group will meet to discuss whether and how the courses can resume in 2027 and beyond
• Please pray for wisdom and the courage to pursue new paths when it becomes clear that change is necessary

Weekly prayer with JAARS
Pray for additional staff at our MK station, which provides childcare three mornings a week for JAARS families.
Pray for the Aviation team in Papua New Guinea as they make daily operational decisions.
Praise God for the six new Interns and six Fellows He is bringing to JAARS. Pray for a smooth transition as they arrive at the base.
