알버트 / 마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
알버트 선교사는 지난봄부터 진행해 오던 “인도네시아 익스프레스” 언어 습득 강좌에 이어서, 교회에서 주관하는 지역사회학교 과정에 인도네시아어 과정을 9월부터 열게 되었습니다. 아울러, 대만 위클리프는 은퇴한 AI 전문 대학교수를 자문위원으로 영입하여 대만 남부의 시라야 족의 사전을 만들고, 7월 중에 성경 번역과 AI응용에 관한 공개 워크샵을 시라야 족이 많이 거주하는 타이난에서 개최할 예정입니다.

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager for a sensitive area, respectively
Following the “Express Indonesia” course that Wycliffe Taiwan has been conducting since last spring, Albert will begin offering an Indonesian-language course in September as part of the church-organized community learning program. In addition, Wycliffe Taiwan has recruited a retired professor specializing in AI as an advisor to compile a dictionary for the Siraya people in southern Taiwan and plans to hold a public workshop on Bible translation and AI applications in Tainan—where many Siraya people reside—in July. Martha leads a small group meeting every Saturday for girls in the church’s youth ministry.

원주민 성경 번역 운동: 아니시니니이모윈 (오지 크리)
원주민성경번역 사자들은 대부분 캐나다 외딴 지역에 거주하고 있는데, 교통 문제와 긴 겨울로 인해 지역 사회 밖으로 나가는 것이 어렵습니다. 온타리오 북부 킹피셔 레이크의 아니시니니모윈 팀에게 이동은 결코 쉬운 일이 아닙니다. 때로는 물리적 고립이 영적 고립처럼 느껴지기도 합니다.
지난 9월 캘거리에서 열린 원주민성경번역자들을 위한 웍샵에서 아니시니니이모윈 팀의 리디아 마마콰 주교는 홀로 남은 것 같은 엘리야에게 하나님이 남겨주신 수천 명의 하나님만 섬기는 사람들이 있다고 위로해주셨던 말씀에서 자신들이 홀로남아 있지 않고 수 많은 믿음의 동료들과 함께 하고 있음을 깨달았다고 말했습니다.
- 이러한 열악한 환경 가운데 있는 원주민 공동체들이 각자의 모어로 하나님의 말씀을 받아들일 수 있도록 마음이 열리고, 말씀에 대한 갈망이 계속되기를 기도해 주세요
- 킹피셔 레이크의 여름철에는 북부 청소년 프로그램, 교회 단기 선교팀 방문, 윌리엄 윈터 사역 학교, 비버 레이크 성경 캠프 등 다양한 하절기 단기 사역이 펼쳐집니다. 이러한 교류가 더욱 활발해짐에 따라, 이 모든 일이 하나님의 영광을 위해 쓰이도록 기도해 주세요

Indigenous Initiatives: Anihshininiimowin (Oji-Cree)
Some translators with Indigenous Initiatives live in isolated parts of Canada, where transportation challenges and long winters make travel outside their communities difficult. For the Anihshininiimowin team of Kingfisher Lake in Northern Ontario, travel is no simple task. At times, physical isolation can feel like spiritual isolation, too.
At the Mother Tongue Translators Workshop for Indigenous Bible translators held in Calgary last September, Bishop Lydia Mamakwa of the Anihshininiimowin translation team said that she realized they were not alone but were joined by countless fellow believers, drawing inspiration from the passage where God comforted Elijah—who felt as though he were the only one left—by reminding him that there were thousands of people who served only God.
- Please pray that the hearts of indigenous communities living in these difficult circumstances will be opened so that they may receive God’s Word in their own heart languages, and that their longing for the Word will continue.
- Summertime in Kingfisher Lake brings many short-term ministry activities, including Northern Youth Programs, church team visits, the William Winter School of Ministry and Beaver Lake Bible Camp.Please pray that the increased interactions will be used for the glory of God.
- For the healing and recovery of Bishop Lydia as she has been in treatment at a hospital in Sioux Lookout for a month

|
Renewed by the Area gathering: Africa
Praise God for the Alliance Africa Area gathering held in Cameroon, 15-19 June. The theme ‘Africa, Arise and Celebrate’ (Isaiah 60:1-4) offered an opportunity to celebrate the Lord’s provision despite the challenges facing African Bible translation movements and to share dreams for the future.
- Pray that the leaders who attended will be encouraged by this time and will bring new energy and ideas to their contexts.
- Pray that the relationships formed will open new avenues for partnership and collaboration, and face the future with confidence.
- May each organization bring glory to God as they seek together to transform language communities through the translation of His Word.
6월 15일부터 19일까지 카메룬에서 열린 국제 연대 아프리카 지역 모임을 인하여 하나님께 찬양을 드립니다. ‘아프리카여, 일어나서 기뻐하라’(이사야 60:1-4)라는 주제로 아프리카에서의 성경 번역 운동이 당면한 어려움들에도 주님의 공급하심을 기뻐하고, 미래에 대한 비전을 나누는 기회가 되었습니다.
- 참석한 지도자들이 이번 모임을 통해 용기를 얻고, 각자의 사역 현장에 새로운 활력과 아이디어를 가져올 수 있도록 기도해 주세요

- 빌리지 커뮤니티 역량 강화 재단과 말루쿠 개신교회가 말루쿠 개신교회의 사역 지역 내 성경 번역을 위해 양해각서를 체결한 것을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다.
- 마카티안 번역팀에게는 인터넷 접속이 큰 과제였습니다. 현지 마카티안 교회가 팀에 인터넷 지원을 제공해 주심을 인하여 하나님께 찬양을 드립니다. 빌리지 커뮤니티 역량 강화 재단에서 케이블과 라우터 구입을 지원하고 있습니다.
- 케이 베사르 및 케이 케실 클래시스 교회가 케이 언어 번역팀을 적극적으로 후원하고 있어 감사드립니다.

Multiple church partnerships: Indonesia
• Praise God for the memorandum of understanding signed between Village Community Empowerment Foundation (YPMD) and the Maluku Protestant Church (GPM) for Bible translation within the Maluku Protestant Church's service area.
• Internet access has been a challenge for the Makatian translation team. Praise God that a local GPM church (Makatian Congregation) is providing internet support to the team. YPMD is assisting with the procurement of cables and routers.
• Two GPM churches (Kei Besar and Kei Kecil Classis) are actively supporting the Kei Language translation team.

Pray for the staff of our Intercultural Communications Course (ICC) as they welcome participants today for the July 8-August 5 session
Pray for the Soloy fuel tanks that have not yet arrived as expected. Ask God to expedite their delivery and ensure their safe arrival.
