First Nations Translators Workshop
Mother Tongue Translators Workshop for Indigenous Bible translation workers in Canada will be held at the Guelph Bible Conference Center during the week of November 9. Please pray that many churches and believers will attend the open session on Thursday, November 12, to share this vision and pray together.

박요섭/조선향 선교사: 성경번역, 파푸아뉴기니
엘니뇨 현상과 폭염, 그리고 가뭄이 겹치면서 카니누와 사람들은 더위와 식량 부족으로 인해 상당한 어려움을 겪고 있습니다. 11월에 알로타우에서 번역가들과 고린도후서를 번역할 계획이었지만, 최근 마을의 어려운 상황으로 일정이 불투명해졌습니다.
• 비가 내리고 작물이 자라 일용할 양식이 채워지도록 기도해 주세요.
• 번역팀과 함께 좋은 결정을 내릴 수 있도록 지혜를 주시기를 기도해 주세요.

Because of El Niño, a heat wave, and drought, the people of Kaninuwa are facing significant hardships from the heat and food shortages. The Kaninuwa team had planned to translate 2 Corinthians into Alotau with the translators in November, but recent difficult circumstances in the village have made the schedule uncertain.
• Please pray for rain so crops can grow and their daily food needs can be met.
• Please pray that God will grant us wisdom to make the right decision together with the translation team.

사막의 시내: 박해받는 교회
모히트*는 힌두교 사제였습니다. “누군가 문제가 있으면 제게 찾아왔고, 저는 그들에게 어떤 제물을 바쳐야 할지 알려주곤 했습니다.” 현재 그는 구전 성경 이야기를 나누며 지역사회를 섬기고 있습니다. 한 선교단체 소속의 선교사가 그에게 예수님에 대해 이야기하기 시작했을 때, 모히트는 짜증이 났지만 시간이 지나면서 그의 태도는 호기심으로 바뀌었습니다. “그에게서 그리스도의 사랑을 보았고, 저는 그저 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 있었을 뿐입니다… 예수 그리스도께서 저를 위해 십자가에 못 박히셨다는 이야기를 들었습니다… 힌두교에는 사람들을 위해 목숨을 바친 분이 아무도 없습니다.”

Streams of Desert: the persecuted church
Mohit* was a Hindu priest. “If anyone had a problem, they came to me, and I told them which sacrifices to offer.” Now he serves his community by sharing oral Bible stories. When a local missionary began talking to him about Jesus, Mohit was irritated, but over time his attitude shifted to curiosity. “I saw the love of Christ in him, and I was just listening to the Word of God… I heard that Jesus Christ was crucified for me… In the Hindu religion, no one gave his life for the people.”
- Please pray with Mohit and his wife, Aaliyah*, that their neighbors will break free from spiritual bondage and find the God who was willing to give His life for the people.

하나님께서 사람들의 삶을 변화시키심을 찬양합니다. 11월에 있을 ‘성경 번역을 위한 세계 기도의 날’을 위해 함께 모여 기도할 때 우리도 변화될 수 있도록, 올해의 주제는 “와서 변화받아라”입니다. 전 세계 위클리프 자매 단체에서 행사를 준비하는 이들을 하나님께서 도우시도록 기도해 주세요.

Wildfire in Indonesia
Because of fires in parts of Indonesia, translation teams' activities have been disrupted. Pray for safety, flexibility, wisdom, and sufficient resources. Ask God to have mercy on Indonesia and all affected communities, for relief, protection, and restoration.
World Prayer Day for Bible Translation
Praise God that he transforms lives. Pray that we will be changed as we come together for the World Day of Prayer for Bible Translation. This year, the theme is "come and be transformed." Ask God to help those preparing events around the globe.

Weekly prayer with JAARS
Pray that many who attended JAARS Day will be inspired to serve, pray for, or give to JAARS. Ask God to guide meaningful follow-up conversations and to help build lasting connections.
Praise God for positive connections with potential new FlightSpan users. Pray that many will subscribe and benefit from this resource.
Thank God for opening the door for JAARS to fully operate the Avery County Airport, creating more opportunities for effective training. Pray for wisdom as the JAARS staff assigned there establish airport operations.
