2026 캐나다 원주민 성경 번역 사역자 워크숍
캐나다 내 원주민 성경 번역 사역자들을 위한 워크숍이 구엘프 바이블 컨퍼런스 센터에서 11월 9일 주간에 열립니다. 올해는 래브라도어 이누 원주민 공동체에서 번역팀이 새로 참가하게 되며, 캐나다 성서공회, 에스아이엘 (SIL), 캔아이엘 (CanIL), 위클리프 캐나다를 비롯한 더 많은 동역단체 사역자들도 참여할 예정입니다. 아래와 같이 함께 기도해 주세요.
- 이 워크숍에 참석하는 모든 이들의 건강과 여행의 안전과 하나님께서 힘을 주시고 필요한 것을 채워 주시도록
- 다섯 원주민 성경번역 팀의 참석을 막는 모든 방해요소들을 막아주시도록
- 또한 성령님께서 원주민 공동체들 간의 모든 소통을 인도해 주시도록
- 많은 교회와 성도들이 11월 12일(목요일) 오픈 세션에 방문해 함께 비전을 나눌 수 있도록

The 2026 First Nations Translator Workshop
The Mother Tongue Translators Workshop for Indigenous Bible translation workers in Canada will be held at the Guelph Bible Conference Center during the week of November 9. This year, we expect the translation team of Innu in Labrador to join the workshop with other existing four language groups. There will be missionarie/representatives from the Canadian Bible Society, SIL, CanIL, and Wycliffe Canada. Please pray:
- for good health and safety of all traveling participants and God's provision of strength and all their needs for the workshop
- that God will stop the barriers/interruptions that prevent them to participate in the owrkshop
- that many churches and leaders will attend the open session on Thursday, November 12, to have fellowship and pray together.

위클리프 캐나다에서는 일성경 번역 선교를 위한 세계기도의 날을 맞아, 오는 11월 10일 (화) 낮 12시(동부시간)에 줌으로 모입니다. "와서 변화받으라"는 주제로 진행되는 이번 기도회에서는, '성경번역, 삶의 변혁'이라는 위클리프 캐나다의 슬로건이, 단지 성경번역을 받는 민족들뿐 아니라, 그들과 함께 성경번역 사역에 임하는 저희 위클리프와 여러 동역자들과 교회들에게 동일하게 일어나야 함을 자각하고 서로의 변혁을 위해 기도하는 시간이 될 것입니다. 참석을 원하시는 분은 다음 링크로 신청해 주시면, 줌 링크를 보내드립니다.

World Day of Prayer for Bible Translation
To mark the Global Day of Prayer for Bible Translation, Wycliffe Canada will host a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, November 10, at 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Held under the theme “Come and Be Transformed," this prayer meeting will be a time to recognize that Wycliffe Canada’s slogan, “Translating Scripture, Transforming Lives” applies not only to the peoples receiving the translated Bible but also to us at Wycliffe, our invaluable partners and churches working alongside us in this ministry—and to pray for one another’s transformation. 위클리프 캐나다의 사역잡지 In Other Words 2025년 가을호의 한글판이 발행되었습니다. 섬겨주신 한인 사무국 발간 팀원들 (채영진, 조순영, 이상협, 이길수, 이규준, 한진숙, 윤기태)의 노고에 감사드리고, 많은 분들이 성경번역 사역이 선교현장에서 일궈내는 천국 생명 열매를 나누며 주님께 영광돌리도록 기도해주세요.

Korean edition of the Fall 2026 issue of In Other Words, Wycliffe Canada's quarterly magazine
We are thankful that the Korean edition of “In Other Words,” Wycliffe Canada's news magazine on Bible translation ministry, is published with the hard work of the edition team (Young-Jin Chae, Claire Cho, Sang-Hyup & Gilsu Lee, Gyoojun and Jinsook Lee, Daniel Yoon). Please pray that many partners will join the celebration of new lives into the Kingdom and give glory to God who has made these fruits.

원주민 성경 번역 운동: 아니시니니모윈 (오지 크리)

온타리오 북부 킹피셔 레이크의 아니시니니모윈 팀의 프로젝트 조력자로 섬기는 매튜 윈저 선교사가 교회 지도자들 모임에 대해 다음과 같이 전합니다: “킹피셔 레이크의 교회는 사역의 필요가 많은 지역 사회 현장에서 섬기는 원주민 지도자들을 위한 훈련 학교를 열었습니다. 위클리프 캐나다의 원주민 사역 코디네이터인 댄 선교사와 성공회 사제가 인도한 이 세션은 팔복, 영적 전쟁, 그리고 시편의 탄원시를 주제로 심층적인 해석에 중점을 두었습니다. 지역사회에서도 모임에 참여했습니다. 과거의 아픔을 마주하고 용서하기로 선택하는 일이 매우 힘들었음에도, 참가자들은 이 자리에 참석할 수 있음에 깊은 감사를 표했으며, 지도부는 이번 행사가 의미 있고 지속적인 변화를 일으킬 수 있는 출발점이 될 것이라고 느꼈습니다.” 함께 기도해 주세요:
- 공동체가 계속되는 영적 압박을 잘 이겨나가도록
- 출판을 위해 요한복음과 마태복음 팀 점검을 마침에
- 번역 사역자 제시 어머니 카니나의 폐에 물이 차오르는데, 어머니 잘 돌봐드리며, 나머지 자녀들과 손자녀들 잘 챙기면서도 계속해서 번역 사역에 집중하도록

Indigenous Initiatives: Anihshininiimowin, Oji-Cree
Matthew Windsor, project facilitator with the Anihshininiimowin team at Kingfisher Lake in Northern Ontario, shares about church leaders: “The church in Kingfisher Lake hosted a training school for Indigenous leaders serving in demanding regional ministry roles. Led by supervisor Dan Grove and an Anglican priest, the sessions focused on the Beatitudes, spiritual warfare, and close readings of lament psalms. Community members also joined the classes. Despite the great difficulty of confronting past pain and choosing to forgive, participants expressed deep gratitude for attending, and leadership sensed the event could spark meaningful, lasting change.”

- For these communities overcome the ongoing spiritual oppression
- Thanks for the well carried out team review of John and Matthew for publication
- For Jessie, one of the translation team members, to keep focusing on the translation ministries as she needs to take care of her mother, Kanina, who has been suffering from the fluid in her lungs, while she taking care of her children and grandchildren

Please pray for safety, God's provision, and strong prayer support for everyone beginning a new field assignment.
The team in Cameroon continues to explore plans to establish a long-term air, land, and sea hub in Yaounde. Pray for God's wisdom and guidance as they navigate this complex undertaking.
Pray for additional staff to meet Human Resources needs. Also, ask God to provide a much-needed supervisor and volunteers for the MK station that offers childcare.
