이 선교사가 지난 주 방콕에서 열린 위클리프 국제연대 아시아-태평양 지역 컨퍼런스에 잘 다녀왔음을 감사드립니다. 이 회의를 통해 최근 몇 년 사이 이 지역에 급격히 늘어난 새로운 성경번역 프로젝트를 잘 수행하기 위해 현지인 성경번역 사역자들을 위한 훈련 및 행정 지원이 매우 전략적으로 이뤄져야 할 필요가 제기되었습니다. 국제연대 소속 성경번역 사역 단체들과 여러 다른 단체들과의 협력을 통해 이 필요가 잘 채워지도록 기도해 주시고, 위클리프 캐나다 역시 이러한 현장의 필요에 의미있게 동역할 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
이 선교사 부부는10월 28-29일에 잘스를 방문하며 잘스와의 기도 동역 강화와 열린문교회 일일 방문 팀 섬김과 미국 한인교회 동원사역을 위한 지원 등으로 섬깁니다. 오가는 길의 안전과 건강을 위해, 더 풍성한 협력 사역의 열매를 위해 기도해 주세요.

Gyoojun Lee & Jinsook Han: Diaspora Engagement, Canada
We are grateful that Gyoojun successfully attended the Wycliffe Global Alliance Asia-Pacific Regional Conference held in Bangkok last week. Through this meeting, the critical need for strategic training and administrative support for local Bible translation workers to effectively manage the rapidly increasing number of new Bible translation projects in the region over recent years has been highlighted. Please pray that this need will be effectively met through strategic collaboration among Wycliffe Global Alliance’s member organizations and various other Bible translation organizations. Also, pray that Wycliffe Canada can meaningfully partner in meeting these field needs.
The Lees will visit JAARS on the 28th and 29th to strengthen prayer partnerships, serve the Open Door Church’s one-day visiting group, and support mobilization efforts for Korean churches in the United States. Please pray for their safety and health during their travels, and for the fruit of a more abundant collaborative ministry.

태국 북부어(라나) 팀에 쿡과 타르 두 명의 새 인턴이 합류했습니다. 두 사람 모두 인턴사역을 통해 복음을 나누며 라나 언어 공동체에 유익을 끼칠 수 있는 것에 감사하며, 앞으로 전임 선교사로 섬기는 데 좋은 훈련이 되고 있음에 감사하고 있습니다 !
라나 문해사역 팀 리더 오이와 기존의 인턴 자자와 빔, 새로운 인턴 타르와 쿡 등 전체 팀이 서로 격려하며 협력하고 있음에 감사드리고, 최근에 파야오 지역의 공립학교 교사들을 위한 라나어 문해사역 훈련을 시켜드리고, 프라오 지역의 사역 자료를 업데이트 할 수 있었음에 감사드립니다!
이 지역의 교회들과의 협력과 미술을 활용한 문해사역 웍샵을 통한 훈련 등을 위해 계속 기도해 주세요.

Two new interns, Cook and Tar, have joined the Northern Thai (Lanna) team. Both express gratitude for the opportunity to share the gospel and benefit the Lana language community through their internship ministry, noting it is excellent training for their full-time missionary service in the future.

새로운 세대에게 다가가기 위한 개정 작업 시작: 콩고민주공화국, 캐나다
위클리프 캐나다는 콩고민주공화국의 링갈라어 성경 개역 프로젝트에 협력하기로 하여, 링갈라어를 사용하는 약 1천만 명의 사람들을 위해 3 년 안에 성경 전체를 개역할 예정입니다. 이미 출시되어 있는 세 가지 번역본은 40년이 넘었고 그동안 링갈라어에는 상당한 변화가 있었습니다. 현지의 교회 지도자들은 잘스에서 개발한 무료 공유 프로그램인 '어댑트 아이티'를 사용하여 기존 역본을 바탕으로 개정 번역 초안을 더욱 신속하게 작성할 예정입니다. 또한 현지의 한 기독교 대학교가 이 번역본 개정 작업을 교육 과정에 실습 과목으로 포함할 예정이기도 하며, 이는 젊은 세대가 번역 활동에 참여할 수 있는 창의적인 방법이 될 것입니다!

Launching a revision to reach new generations: Democratic Republic of Congo, Canada
Wycliffe Canada will partner with The Lingala Equateur ya Sika project in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which aims to translate the full Bible in three years for about 10 million people who speak this variety of the Lingala language. The three translations already available are over 40 years old and the language has changed considerably. Local church leaders will use Adapt It, a free, open-source translation editor that will help to more quickly craft a new translation draft based on those earlier versions. A local Christian university plans to include revision of the translation as a practicum in its curriculum, a creative way to engage the younger generation in translation efforts! Please pray to help get this initiative started. Ask God to provide wisdom, workers and resources for this updated translation that will be distributed in both audio and print formats.

위클리프 대만에서 계획 중인 난민 관련 사역과 시라야어 번역 점검 사역을 위해 기도해 주세요.
시라야어 마가복음이 11월 24일부터 29일까지 시라야어의 본고장 타이난에서 8명의 참가자와 함께 검토될 예정입니다. 철저하고 순조로운 준비과정이 이뤄지고, 번역의 정확성과 명료함을 위한 풍성한 점검 과정이 되며, 하나님께서 모든 참가자를 인도하셔서 시라야 공동체를 위해 마가복음 번역이 잘 마쳐질 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.
위클리프 대만팀이 10월 29일부터 11월 2일까지 난민들을 돕는 사역 동역자들을 방문할 예정인데, 안전한 여행과 의미 있는 만남이 이루어지도록 기도해 주시고,
이 외에도 성경 활용과 번역, 의료 지원, 트라우마 치유, 지역 사회 개발 사역들 가운데 하나님이 복주시도록, 또한 사역에 함께 하는 모든 동역자들에게 새로운 비전과 격려를 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Translation checking and Scripture engagement: Taiwan
The Siraya Gospel of Mark will be checked from 24–29 November, in the Siraya homeland in Tainan, with eight participants. Pray for:
- Thorough and smooth preparations;
- A fruitful checking process that ensures accuracy and clarity;
- God’s presence to guide each participant and bring the Gospel of Mark closer to completion for the Siraya community.
A team from Wycliffe Taiwan will visit ministry partners serving refugees from 29 October 29 to 2 November. Pray for:
- Safe travels and meaningful connections;
- God’s blessing over ministries in Scripture engagement, translation, medical care, trauma healing and community development;
- Encouragement and renewed vision for all partners involved.

Land Operations
In many parts of Africa, 98% of roads remain unpaved, and the rainy season extends for half the year. Despite these challenges, the most effective way for translators to gather input, test drafts, assist churches, and initiate literacy classes is by visiting local communities. That’s why JAARS facilitates our partners by supplying them with motorbikes, 4WD vehicles, safety equipment, and training in driving and maintenance.
Please pray for the 4WD vehicles and motorcycles we provide to our mission organization partners worldwide, as well as for the operational and maintenance training of their personnel.
