박요섭/조선향 선교사: 성경번역, 파푸아 뉴기니
할렐루야 남반부의 가장 더운 여름 기간에도 계속해서 카니누와어로 성경번역 작업이 진행되게 하심을 감사드립니다! 번역 점검 내용은 다음 주에 더 상세히 나누기로 하고 이번 주에는 번역위원회와 박 선교사 부부의 비자 갱신에 대해 기도부탁 드리겠습니다.
카니누와 성경번역 성경번역 사역에 있어서, 현지 공동체와 교회의 헌신은 가장 중요한 요소입니다. 특히 번역위원회는 카니누와 공동체가 성경번역에 필요한 일들에 최선을 다해 헌신하도록 비전을 나누고 격려하는 일을 해오고 있습니다.
- 최근에 번역위원회 의장 버나드의 동생이 수도 포트 모스비에서 사망했는데, 시신을 마을로 옮겨와야 하는 어려움이 있습니다. 비행기와 배로 옮겨오는 모든 과정이 순조롭게 이뤄지도록 기도해 주세요.
- 또한 부의장인 프란시스코의 아내가 2월 첫주에 알로타우 병원에서 수술 받고 회복 상황을 보아 마을로 돌아올 예정입니다. 이번 월요일에 의사를 만나 진단받는데, 잘 회복되도록 기도해 주세요.
- 작년에 치른 지역선거에서 지역구의 의원으로 선출된 피델리스가 알로타우에 나왔다가 번역팀을 만나 교제하며 격려를 아끼지 않았습니다. 카니누와 청년들에게 좋은 모델이 되도록 기도해 주세요.
- 2월로 비자가 만료되는 박선교사 부부가, 더 이상 국내에서 비자갱신을 할 수 없게 법이 바뀌어 한국에 나왔다 비자를 얻어 다시 들어가려고 합니다. 모든 과정을 위해 기도해 주세요.

Hallelujah! We give thanks to our Lord that the Bible translation work into the Kaninuwa language continues even during the hottest summer months in the southern hemisphere! We will share the detailed updates on the translation review next week. This week, we ask for your prayers regarding the visa renewals for the Parks and Kaninuwa Bible Translation Committee members.
The Commitment of the Kaninu Community to Bible Translation In the work of Bible translation, the dedication of the local community and church is the most crucial factor. In particular, the Kaninuwa Translation Committee has been sharing the vision and encouraging the Kaninuwa community to devote themselves wholeheartedly to the tasks necessary for Bible translation.
- Recently, the brother of Bernard, the chairman of the Translation Committee, passed away in the capital city of Port Moresby. There are difficulties in transporting the body back to the village. Please pray that the entire process of transporting it by plane and ship goes smoothly.
- Additionally, the wife of Vice Chairman Francisco is scheduled to return to the village after undergoing surgery at Alotau Hospital during the first week of February, pending her recovery. She will meet with the doctor this Monday for a diagnosis; please pray for her quick & full recovery.
- Fidelis, elected as a district representative in last year's local elections, visited Alotau and met with the translation team, offering generous encouragement and fellowship. Please pray that he may be a good model the young Kaninuwa people.
- The Parks' visas expire in February and they have travel to Korea because the law changed, making it impossible for them to renew their visas domestically. Please pray for the entire process of travel, application and reentry.

아울러 위클리프에서 현재 진행 중인 중앙아시아, 아프리카, 동남아시아 등 세계 여러 지역에서 무슬림권 언어 민족들을 위한 성경 번역 프로젝트를 위해 특별히 기도하는 기간이 되시길 빕니다.

30 Days of Prayer for Muslims in Canada
The 10/10 Global Prayer Initiative is a worldwide prayer movement for Muslims, and Loving Muslims Together in Canada shared the prayer themes during Ramadan.
Please pray that we, as Christians, love and share the gospel with our Muslim neighbors.
We also hope this will be a special prayer time for the Bible translation projects for Muslim-speaking peoples in various parts of the world, including Central Asia, Africa, and Southeast Asia, which are currently underway at Wycliffe.

여러 교회에서 지난 한 해도 RBBB 운동을 통해 성경 없는 민족들을 위해 기도와 헌금으로 동역해 주심에 감사드립니다!!
에드먼턴한인안디옥장로교회(한흥렬 담임목사), 토론토참소망교회(손명수 담임목사), 위니펙중앙교회 (이기성 담임목사) 등이 참여해 주셨고, 성경 필사를 통해서는 해밀턴한인연합교회(오광철 담임목사) 에서 참여해 주셨으며, 특별히 캐나다 내에서 진행 중인 원주민들을 위한 성경 번역 사역을 위해 기도와 물질로 섬기셨습니다.
올해에는 에드몬턴한인침례교회(권성범 담임목사) 와 이글스필드한인교회(장성훈 담임목사) 에서 각각 RBBB 와 성경 필사를 통해 캐나다 내 원주민들을 위한 성경 번역 사역에 동역해 주실 예정입니다.
참여하는 교회마다 말씀의 진리로 굳게 세워지고, 그 말씀이 성도님들의 삶 속에 놀라운 변혁의 역사로 일어나며, 그렇게 성경 번역 사역을 통해 계속해서 캐나다 원주민들과 그들의 교회가 세워지는 놀라운 역사가 있도록 기도해 주세요!!.

We sincerely thank the churches that partnered with us through prayer and offerings for the Indigenous Initiative project and the Bible translation movement for First Nations across Canada via the RBBB movement over the past year!
Edmonton Antioch Korean Presbyterian Church (Rev. Hanry Han, senior pastor), Toronto True Hope Church (Rev. Moses Son, senior pastor), and the Korean Church of Winnipeg (Rev. Ki Sung Lee, senior pastor) participated in RBBB (and Hamilton Korean United Church (Rev. Kwang Chul Oh, senior pastor) did so through a 'hand-writing Bible event'). This year, Edmonton Korean Baptist Church (Rev. Abraham Kwon, senior pastor) began RBBB, and Eaglesfield Community Church (Rev. Sunghoon Jang, senior pastor) initiated their own hand-writing Bible event to support the Indigenous Initiative.
Please pray that all these partnering churches are firmly grounded in God's Word and that their congregants' lives are wonderfully transformed through Bible reading and writing. Also, pray for the same results for First Nations peoples and their churches.

북부 와미* 프로젝트
이 프로젝트를 통해 재봉 센터에 참여하며 예수님을 처음 알게 된 사만다*는 새로운 기술과 자신감, 그리고 영적 깨달음을 얻었습니다. 그녀는 이제 가족들에게 예수님의 이야기를 전하고 있습니다. 그녀의 삶은 하나님께서 예수님을 한번도 들어본 적 없는 여성들의 마음에 어떻게 희망과 배움, 믿음을 심어주시는지를 잘 보여주는 예입니다.
- 30명의 여성들이 읽기, 쓰기, 수학과 재봉 기술을 배우는 과정을 마쳤음을 인하여 하나님을 찬양합니다.
- 센터 학생 중 결혼한 지 10년째 되는 여성이 아이를 간절히 바라고 있습니다. 그녀를 위해 중보해 주시길 겸손히 부탁드립니다. 그녀가 아이를 갖게되는 복을 얻도록 기도해 주세요.
- 원 스토리 제작 사역자가 여러 여성 센터들을 방문하며 말씀을 나누고 있습니다. 여러 센터 방문 일정을 통해 모든 이들에게 성경 이야기를 전하는 동안 하나님께서 이 사역자의 안전과 건강, 그리고 풍성한 열매를 허락하시도록 기도해 주세요.

Silk Road Ascent (SRA): Bible translation in a sensitive area (Do not forward or post it anywhere online)
Northern Warmi* Project
Through this project, Samantha*, who first heard about Jesus when she joined the sewing centre, has gained new skills, confidence, and spiritual understanding. She now shares the stories of Jesus with her family in her village. Her life demonstrates how God is working through the project to bring hope, learning, and faith into the hearts of women who had never heard about Jesus before.
- Praise God that 30 women have completed learning to read, write, do math, and sew.
- Please pray for A woman from the sewing center who asks for prayer. She has been married for ten years and is longing for a child. She humbly requests that we keep her in our prayers and asks God to bless her family with the joy of a child.
- Pray for the OneStory crafter as she travels to visit the centers. May God grant her safety, good health and fruitful visits as she shares Bible stories with everyone.

Nurturing the next generation: Hong Kong
Wycliffe Hong Kong staff are dedicated to inspiring the next generation to participate in Bible translation initiatives. They walk alongside young people who sense God’s call, helping them discern their future through exposure to Bible translation ministry and mission experiences. Through strong partnerships with local churches, seminaries, and mission groups, they engage with young seekers and invite them to gatherings, cross-cultural exposure trips, and short-term mission internships.
- Please pray for: Wisdom and discernment for Wycliffe Hong Kong staff as they guide young people in discovering God’s calling,
- Unity of vision for those who are newly married or preparing for marriage as they seek God’s direction together,
- God’s provision of suitable opportunities for those seeking exposure to Bible translation and mission work.

선교사 자녀 (TCK) 돌보기: 캐나다
[보통 선교사 자녀 (MK, Missionary Kids)라 불리는 말의 공식 명칭은 '제 삼 문화권의 아이들' Third Culture Kids 입니다. 보통 태어난 곳, 자란 곳, 사는 곳이 다르며, 부모의 문화 (제1문화)와 선교지의 문화 (제2문화)가 섞인 제3의 문화 속에서 성장한 아이들이란 뜻입니다.]
위클리프 캐나다는 지난 1월 직원 돌봄 부서 내에 제3문화권 선교사 자녀(TCK) 돌봄 및 교육 프로그램을 시작했습니다. 금년이 첫 해로서 TCK와 그 가족들에게 가장 도움이 되는 서비스가 무엇인지 배우고 발견하는 시간이었습니다. 위클리프 캐나다 사역자들은 부모용 자료 웹사이트를 개설하고, 새로운 안전 보호 정책 및 절차를 마련했으며, 현지 재적응 수련회 진행을 위해 타 기관과 협력하고, 25세 미만 TCK 자녀를 둔 거의 모든 부모와 연락을 취했습니다. 다음과 같이 기도해 주세요:
• 청년들을 위한 연결망 강화와 사역 기회
• TCK 돌봄 코디네이터인 켈시 사역자가 2월에 동남아시아로 두 가정을 방문합니다

Caring for Third Culture Kids: Canada
The official term for what are commonly called missionary kids (MKs) is “Third Culture Kids.” This refers to children who are typically born, raised, and live in different places, growing up within a third culture that blends their parents' culture (first culture) and the culture of the mission field (second culture).
Wycliffe Canada launched a Third Culture Kid (TCK) care and education program in January 2025, within the staff care department. The first year was a time of learning and discovery about which services are most helpful to TCKs and their families. Wycliffe Canada staff launched a parent resource website, drafted a new safeguarding policy and procedures, partnered with others to facilitate re-entry retreats, and connected with nearly all the parents of TCKs under age 25. Pray for:
• Enhanced connections and ministry opportunities for young adults
• Kelsi, the TCK care coordinator, is travelling to Southeast Asia in February to visit two families.
• Children of families who homeschool in remote areas have chances to forge friendships.
• Parents in cross-cultural relationships enjoy strong unity and teamwork.
• The network of TCK caregivers in Canada seeks to create opportunities to encourage and support each other.

Hangar modifications have begun in Cameroon. Pray they will be finished safely and without any issues.
Continue praying that the international visas for two apprentices will be approved so they can join their fellow Apprentices and Trainees.
Pray for the JAARS staff's good health, as winter weather has brought colds and other illnesses.
