알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
알버트 선교사가 10월 중순에 11명의 참가자를 인솔하여, 인도네시아의 산불 사태로 인한 여행 일정의 어려움에도 말레이시아 난민촌 사역 단기 선교를 하나님의 은혜로 잘 다녀왔습니다. 앞으로 이 사역을 통해 새로운 협력 기회들이 있게 되길 원합니다.
기도해 주세요:
- 알버트 선교사 백내장 수술 이후 부작용 없이 눈이 잘 회복되도록
- 11월에 있을 위클리프 대만 총회와 아시아-태평양 지역 대표 모임, 은혜로 잘 준비하고, 안전하게 다녀오도록
- 이삭과 모세가 등하교할 때 안전하게 다닐 수 있고, 늘 하나님의 은혜 안에서 믿음이 잘 성장하도록

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager for a sensitive area, respectively
In mid-October, Albert led a group of 11 participants on a short-term mission trip to a refugee camp in Malaysia. Despite scheduling challenges caused by the wildfires in Indonesia, they successfully completed the trip by God’s grace. Please pray that Albert may successfully identify new opportunities for collaboration through this ministry in the future.
Please pray:
• That Albert’s eyes may recover well without any complications following his cataract surgery
• That Albert may prepare well by God’s grace for Taiwan’s Annual General Meeting and the Asia-Pacific Area Representatives’ Meeting in November, and return safely
• That Isaac and Moses may travel safely to and from school, and that their faith may grow steadily in God’s grace

2026 캐나다 원주민 성경 번역 사역자 워크숍
캐나다 내 원주민 성경 번역 사역자들을 위한 워크숍이 구엘프 바이블 컨퍼런스 센터에서 11월 9일 주간에 열립니다. 올해는 래브라도어 이누 원주민 공동체에서 번역팀이 새로 참가하게 되며, 캐나다 성서공회, 에스아이엘 (SIL), 캔아이엘 (CanIL), 위클리프 캐나다를 비롯한 더 많은 동역단체 사역자들도 참여할 예정입니다. 함께 기도해 주세요.
- 이 워크숍에 참석하는 모든 이들의 건강과 여행의 안전과 하나님께서 힘을 주시고 필요한 것을 채워 주시도록
- 다섯 원주민 성경 번역 팀의 참석을 막는 모든 장애물을 막아주시도록
- 또한 성령님께서 원주민 공동체들 간의 모든 소통을 인도해 주시도록
- 많은 교회와 성도들이 11월 12일(목요일) 오픈 세션에 방문해 함께 비전을 나누고 기도할 수 있도록

The 2026 First Nations Translator Workshop
The Mother Tongue Translators Workshop for Indigenous Bible translation workers in Canada will be held at the Guelph Bible Conference Center during the week of November 9. This year, we expect the Innu translation team in Labrador to join the workshop with the other four existing language groups. Missionaries/representatives from the Canadian Bible Society, SIL, CanIL, and Wycliffe Canada will attend. Please pray:
- for the good health and safety of all traveling participants and God's provision of strength and all their needs for the workshop
- • that God will stop the barriers/interruptions that prevent them from participating in the workshop
- • that many churches and leaders will attend the open session on Thursday, November 12, to have fellowship and pray together.

World Day of Prayer for Bible Translation
To mark the Global Day of Prayer for Bible Translation, Wycliffe Canada will host a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, November 10, at 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Time). Held under the theme “Come and Be Transformed," this prayer meeting will be a time to recognize that Wycliffe Canada’s slogan, “Translating Scripture, Transforming Lives,” applies not only to the peoples receiving the translated Bible but also to us at Wycliffe, our invaluable partners, and churches working alongside us in this ministry—and to pray for one another’s transformation. Korean edition of the Fall 2026 issue of In Other Words, Wycliffe Canada's quarterly magazine
We are grateful that the Korean edition of “In Other Words,” Wycliffe Canada's news magazine on Bible translation ministry, is published through the hard work of the edition team (Young-Jin Chae, Claire Cho, Sang-Hyup & Gilsu Lee, Gyoojun and Jinsook Lee, Daniel Yoon).
• Please pray that many partners will join the celebration of new lives entering the Kingdom and give glory to God, who has made these fruits.

킨샤* 성경 활용 및 언어 조사 프로젝트: 동남아시아의 보안 지역 (배포하거나 온라인에 게시하지 말아 주세요)
지난 4월, 470명이 넘는 치루족 사람들이 지역 목회자와 사역자들이 인도한 ‘기독교 가정 강화’ 수업이 포함된 2주간의 프로그램에 참여했습니다. 이 행사는 성경에 대한 큰 열정을 불러일으켰으며, 80세가 넘는 여성 3명을 포함해 총 41명이 세례를 받았습니다. 라파*족에게 성경을 제공할 수 있도록 연구 방식을 개선하고 있는 킨샤 언어 조사팀을 위한 기도에 응답해 주신 하나님께 감사드리며, 중부 술리* 방언과의 차이점에 대해 술리* 교회 지도자들과 논의하는 과정을 인도해 주신 하나님을 찬송합니다. 최근 언어권별 사역 활동을 통해 다양한 교육 및 사역 노력을 펼치며 수백 명의 참가자와 접촉했습니다. 아웨파, 다치, 훌라에서는 교사와 작가들을 위한 여러 워크숍을 개최했으며, 다치와 학에서는 하계 학교, 학교 방문, 도서관 상자 배포를 통해 독서 자료에 대한 접근성을 확대했습니다. 또한 발로에서는 지역사회 봉사 활동, 성경 암송 대회, 국내 실향민을 위한 성인 문해 교육을 진행했습니다.

Kinsha* Scripture Engagement & Survey: a sensitive area of Southeast Asia (do not forward or post this online)
Over 470 Chiru people attended a two-week program in April that featured Strengthening Christian Families Program lessons led by local pastors and facilitators. The event sparked great enthusiasm for Scripture and resulted in 41 baptisms, including three women over 80 years old. Thank God for answering prayers for the Kinsha survey team as they refine research tools to provide the Lapa* people with access to Scripture. Thank God for guidance in discussions with Sulin* church leaders about dialect differences from Central Suli*. Recent language group initiatives reached hundreds of participants through diverse educational and ministry efforts: Awepa, Daci, and Hula hosted multiple workshops for teachers and writers; Daci and Hak expanded access to reading materials through summer classes, school visits, and library box distributions; and Valo led community outreach, Bible recitation contests, and adult literacy classes for internally displaced persons.

• for leaders to balance clear scripture understanding with unity across the broader Suli* community.
• for wisdom and clarity in ongoing dialect analysis and research within the Angde* survey region.

Let us pray for the launch of the Huancavelica Quechua project—that God may guide the team and grant them wisdom as they learn and advance in the translation process; that God may help them find volunteer translation facilitators.
