알버트/마르다 (이삭, 모세) 선교사: 위클리프 대만 대표, 보안국 지역 책임자
알버트 선교사가 지난 3월말 대만 위클리프 이사회를 잘 마쳤음에 감사드립니다! 계속해서 AI를 활용한 시라야 민족의 성경번역 사역을 위해 섬기고 있는데, 마가복음 번역을 점검해 줄 자문위원을 속히 찾을 수 있도록, 시라야 번역 사역자들의 컴퓨터 사용 기술 향상을 위한 훈련 계획 등을 위해 기도해 주세요. 무슬림 사역 단체와 함께 연합하여 4월 19 일 (토)에 두 부부의 소속교회에서 열리는, "난민 체험" 행사에 많은 분들이 등록하심에 감사드리고, 행사를 계기로 더 많은 그리스도인들이 난민사역에 동참하게 되도록 기도해 주세요. 마르다 선교사의 계속되는 보안지역의 사역팀을 섬길 때 지혜와 능력을 더하여 주시고, 동료 선교사들과 매주 한번 모이는 기도 모임으로 서로의 사역들을 나누고 중보하며, 격려하는 유익한 시간을 통해 하나님의 은혜를 계속 경험하게 되도록 기도해 주세요. 큰 아들 이삭이 지난 번 대학입학 학력고사를 잘 치루고, 2개의 대학에서 입학허가를 받아 오는 5월중 면접을 준비하고 있고, 모세는 피부병이 호전되어 감사하며, 학업을 잘 감당하도록, 지혜주시도록 기도해 주세요.

Albert and Martha (Isaac, Moses): Director of Wycliffe Taiwan and Language Program Manager of a sensitive area, respectively
We are thankful Albert had a great time at the Wycliffe Board meeting in Taiwan at the end of March! As he continues to serve in the AI-assisted Bible translation ministry among the Shiraya people, please pray that the translation team can find a consultant to review the translation of the Gospel of Mark and for Albert's plans to train the Shiraya translators to improve their computer skills. Give thanks for the large number of people who have signed up for the “Refugee Experience” event at the couple's church on Saturday, April 19, in partnership with a Muslim ministry organization, and pray that the event will encourage more Christians to get involved in refugee ministries. Please pray that Martha will be given wisdom and ability as she continues to serve for expatss and their translation projects team in a sensitive area, that she will continue to experience God's grace through the weekly prayer meetings where she and her team workers share and intercede for each other's ministries, and that she will continue to experience God's grace through these beneficial times of encouragement. Please pray for Isaac, who passed the university entrance exam and has been accepted by two universities. He is preparing for interviews in May. We are grateful that Moses' skin disease has improved, and we ask that you pray for him to do well in his studies and give him wisdom.

홍 선교사는 최근 V 국을 방문하여 현지 목회자 세미나, 현지 교회 예배 설교, 청년 대학생(및 목회자들)을 대상으로 한 Life As Mission (LAM) 강의와 초대교회의 선교 강의를 진행하였으며, 현지에서 기업을 운영하는 한인 그리스도인들을 대상으로 LAM 과 Business As Mission (BAM)의 비교 강의, 한인 선교사들을 위한 초대교회 세미나, 한인 교회 설교를 하였습니다. 하나님께서 이 나라 청년 대학생들이 복음에 반응하게 하시며, 교회로 불러 모으고 계심에 감사드립니다! 이 청년들이 교회의 일꾼들, 이 나라 복음 전도의 일꾼들, 자민족 선교와 주변 국가 선교의 일꾼들로 성장하도록 기도해 주세요.

Joseph & Ju Hong: Missiology consultant, Global Bible Translators
Joseph recently traveled to Country V to conduct a seminar for local pastors, preach at a local church service, teach Life As Mission (LAM) to young college students (and pastors), teach a lecture on mission in the early church, teach a comparative lecture on LAM and Business As Mission (BAM) to Korean Christians who run businesses in the country, conduct a seminar for Korean missionaries on the early church, and preach at a Korean church. We are thankful that God is calling young college students in this country to respond to the gospel and to gather at the church! Pray that these young people will grow to become workers in their church, workers in evangelism and missions in their own country and neighboring countries.

위클리프 말레이시아는 두 보안 지역 프로젝트를 위한 중보기도를 요청합니다. 작년말까지 신약의 다섯 권의 책들 (마가복음, 누가복음, 요한복음, 사도행전, 야고보서)과 ‘예수' 영화의 자문위원 점검을 마치게 하신 하나님을 찬양합니다. 금년 상반기에 빌립보서, 갈라디아서, 에베소서, 골로새서, 이 네 권의 초벌 번역을 하는 링과 마즈를 위해 기도해 주세요. 모어로 번역하기 어려운 구절들과 신학적 핵심 용어들이 포함되어 있는데, 그들이 가족의 필요에 잘 부응하고 번역이 성공적으로 진행될 수 있도록, 4월부터 6월까지 줌으로 이어질 번역 지문위원 점검을 도와줄 신실하고 재능 있는 마을 점검 조력자를 위해 기도해 주세요. 전도자 C*가 OA* 사역에서 하나님께서 그를 인도하시고 보호하시며, 다른 사람들이 OA* 지역 전도를 도울 수 있도록 기도해 주세요.

Progress and ongoing prayer needs: Malaysia
Wycliffe Malaysia asks for prayer for the SEM* and OA* projects: Praise God for completing consultant checks for five books as of December 2024 (Mark, Luke, John, Acts, and James) plus the JESUS film. Pray for translators Ling and Maz as they draft four books (Philippines, Galatians, Ephesians, and Colossians) during the first half of 2025. They will have to deal with complicated terminologies and key terms. Pray that they will juggle their family needs and that translation will work successfully. Pray for faithful and gifted community checkers to help from April to June for Zoom consultant checks. Pray for C*, an evangelist, that God will lead and protect him in the OA* work and raise others to help with OA* evangelism.

아체 성경 전서: 파라과이
2004년, 파라과이 성경번역협회는 아체족을 대상으로 사회언어학 연구를 시작했습니다. 6개 공동체 지도자들에게 번역 프로젝트를 제안하고 팀들이 구성되었습니다. 2005년에는 신약 성경 초벌 번역이 완료되었고 많은 노고와 기도끝에 수년이 지나 봉헌되었습니다. 2013년에는 재정적인 어려움에도 구약 성경 번역이 시작되었습니다. 그 이후로 번역팀은 성경 전권의 번역을 끝내기 위해 열심히 노력해 왔습니다. 하나님의 도우심으로 올해 안에 구약 성경 번역을 마칠 예정이며, 아체족은 자기 모어로 된 성경 전서를 갖게 되는 복을 누리게 될 것입니다. 공동체 내에 문해사역 팀이 구성되었고, 지역 교회의 신앙이 더욱 성장하고 있습니다. 아체 번역팀, 주석가들, 그리고 번역 및 교정에 참여하는 자문위원들 모두에게 새 힘을 부어주시도록, 성경전서를 인쇄할 수 있는 재정을 허락해 주시도록 기도해 주세요.

The Complete Bible in Ache: Paraguay
In 2004, Letra Paraguay initiated sociolinguistic studies among the Ache ethnic group. The translation project was proposed to the leaders of the six communities, and the team was formed. In 2005, the first drafts of the New Testament were produced. These were years of hard work, prayer, and dedication. In 2013, Letra Paraguay began the translation of the Old Testament, even though they did not have all the financial resources for the project. Since then, the translation team has been working hard to complete the translation of the entire Bible. With God's help, this year, they will finish the translation of the Old Testament, and the Ache people will be blessed by having the complete Bible in their language. A literacy team has been formed in the community, and the faith of the local church has grown. Pray for renewed strength for the Ache translation team, the exegetes, and the consultants who are working on the translation and revision. Pray for God to provide the resources to print the complete Bible.

Training
Skill, knowledge, and experience are crucial elements that can make all the difference when approaching missions in a challenging new setting. Especially when your role is to solve critical logistical problems for workers already there. JAARS provides focused, specialized training that is vital in many different areas for those preparing for work in Bible translation and related ministries. Please pray that God will mightily use our instructors to provide practical, helpful training for those preparing for missions work.
